But ... what's the easiest alteration ever? Do I add height next to the neck? Do I subtract height at the shoulder point? Do I add a parallel line through the shoulder slope's midpoint? I'd think it's the first one since you don't have to make alterations to the arm hole then, but is it really?

I had this idea while watching your video. Attach a tape measure to the top of the paper with a coin attached to the bottom of the tape measure to help it hang even. Your friend will have an easier job with your outline.
