They won't be used in the USA as European weather patterns and terrain like mountains etc we need bigger units like this plus no offense USA your probably about 15 years behind technology when it comes to trucks

If Bruce and Scania succeed in what they are doing, I think this cab style would be very appealing to US long-distance drivers! It is one beautiful truck for sure. How much longer it is than a standard 6x4? Doesn't seem that much longer for all the space inside of the cab.

I’m not super familiar with the Longline and XXXL Scanias. Are these custom cab stretches by third party companies, or can these be purchased directly from Scania with the longer cabs? They are fantastic.

Tomas - I know Stuart Nicol had one (maybe still got it) but there are very few managers who would invest in one considering the norm these days seems to be 'four on four off' or 'four on two off' meaning a vehicle has at least two drivers during a seven day period. But the Longline is more ar home in the UK than T-cabs that suit Scandinavia better.

This is just impressive. One of my dreams -as a long time SCANIA truckdriver; would be test a longline truck like this. No just for all the extra comforts it offers to the driver/worker: But to compare how is handles on the road -in more advanced nordic winter conditions. Also extra cred to the fleet owner of this truck: That listens to the drivers/workers -on what kind of trucks to get 4 the company. -Man kör ju alltid så fort så att ingenting 'hinner' hända...
Mine is a k2000 fat boy cab with 18 speed fuller gearbox and X15 cumins with all the bling extra deep sun stainless steel sun visor , twin chimneys , twin vortex chrome stainless air cleaners etc etc . But if these Scania fat boy cabs hit town they would surely give the Kenworths a good run for their money . First of all the big Scania V8's is what we need although we do have some here in Australia but they are in those small cab Scania's . And come hell or high water you can't beat the sound of a V8 Scania in my opinion .

Scania and Volvo is heavy duty with 800 hp. Scania and Volvo has breaks.

Scania also makes a 770S V8 Longline and it is as gorgeous as this truck only bigger.
I love grabbing gears in a manual and I know this is a automated manual but I would drive this truck in a heartbeat all day.

you can get one import it an put it on a show only permit but cant use it for 25 years in haulage
