I love Jaime Reyes dating back to both Batman brave and the bold as well as young justice he is an awesome character but needs to be shown more. HE IS DC'S ANSWER TO SPIDER MAN
Blue Beetle and Cyborg deserve way more attention. In the modern era, they’re nigh indestructible.
I really hope they sell this Venom/Iron Man hybrid to the people correctly this time. This character seems like a writer’s dream.

This kid has so much potential. I’ve never read any of his comics def watched young justice but I’ll I’ll have to check them out. I think there’s potential for some next level story telling.

I remember first seeing Jaime in brave and the bold loved his blue beetle since.

I've always wanted to to see Jaime go up against Marvel's old Cable with his "I've got a tech for that" plot armor. 😂 I mean, we all know Cable wouldn't fight him, because he'd see a kid struggling with tech that was trying to control him much like his own situation and of course they'd team up. But the initial obligatory "hero throwdown" would be wild. 😁🤣
Ryes Blue Beetle is soo awesome! He's got the chops and swagger to be huge for DC, if they get him right.
I collected his original series from 2007. I like Jamie. I also love Ted Kord, and Dan Garret.

his outfit is one of if not the best in all of comics and the character is OP as heck. On its short list of weakness you should have added poor sales, but that has to do with D.C. Comics and not the character because if he had (and he should have had) his own shows and movies (along with his partner Booster Gold) he would sell real well!

Love the Guyver shout out. Yeah they definitely watched Guyver and also some Karen rider series as well.
I didn't know Shazam had that connection to the Blue Beetle. They could've made that connection in Fury of the Gods but of course Spectre wasn't a villain. Oh well, James Gunn's new DC Universe will change everything anyway. But the new 2023 movie could still work post-Flashpoint in the Flash film. Not everything has to change just like Amanda Waller is still Viola Davis. Xolo I think has a good chance of making the cut and maybe learning about the other Beetles like Ted Kord that came before him.
Not only Shazam, apparently Peacemaker also has a connection with the Blue Beetle (something about being granted the knowledge of the Reach when he found the same pyramid the Scarab is found) and even act as a sort of mentor figure to Jaime. He's the reason Jaime found out about the Scarab's alien origin.
I would be surprised if John Cena appeared in a post credit scene.
@@darthva31 Nice. That's a cool opportunity to do things right in regard to DC canon and have better connection in overall storyline. These are the things that James Gunn MUST take advantage of in creating the new DC Universe. And I like John Cena's Peacemaker. From the standpoint of him as the character. When I view the comics, he looks very much like the character. It's not my cup of tea as far his story or language but he looks the part and his irreverence seems to be accurate to character. Almost like a Deadpool for DC in a way. In our DC Flashpoint crossover, they have to find a way to improve on him and what you've mentioned would be a great way to do it, whether they do it in a post credit scene or later on in the new DCU. Here's to hoping.
The second you mentioned Shazam went into battle with the Specter, I figured things would not bode well for Billy Batson. What purpose did the Scarab have and why was it in the Rock of Eternity?

When he said all 3 blue bettle had access to the scarab that is incorrect. Ted kord did not have access to the bettle but he pull a Batman and used gadgets to fight

It's definitely an homage not a copy of The Guyver. It seeks to take all the best parts and celebrate them within DC's world. I'm not mad at it.

You need to do your homework a bit better Ernie. Ted Kord *the version on Blue Bettle* was published and created by Charlton Comics and not DC Comics. DC acquired the publication and all their characters when the publisher went belly up. Ted Kord, Blue Bettle was created by someone you may have heard of named, Steve Ditko. The character was actually based off of Spiderman and NOT Batman

No. Blue beetle has a cosmic techno-magical symbiotic exoskeleton. He can create anything and do anything (any power) because he's one with the suit.

He's impervious to most magic. As a matter of fact, it found a way to pull from the Bleed and cut thru the fabric of reality to be able to punch and hurt the Specter. Jaime is OP af
