There is nothing more satisfying then seeing your collection grow over years of building and seeing it every day
My bedroom is my collection room and all my walls have props and armour all over them
Dude.. you are insane. Your ability to simplify in your problem solving is incredible - like the lenses. Nice.
Well thank you!
@@FranklyBuilt can you make me one of the iron man suit
Hey, so a quick tip with printing resin: if you rinse off the part in warm water before removing your supports they will pull off MUCH easier and not leave the large divots behind that you got when pulling them off.
Solid tip, I'm going to try this out
this is like the first setting on ur supports for chitubox
500% recco the warm water bath. I use hot water, just be careful leaving the prints in for too long so they don't warp.
Yes, but not too warm/hot because not only they can wrap, surface of them can crack also!
The lenses are such a good idea. Youve inspired me to start printing my own armors and take up 3d printing as a hobby. Thanks from a fellow Airman!
Your skills are improving a lot. Great work Frank and an absolutely gorgeous paint job!
11:39 - good to see you also enjoy Corridor Digital
Loved you watching Wren’s Pluto video! That’s was a cross over I didn’t expect to see 😂
You can hold a popsicle stick in front of the paint stream to get different kinds of speckles. Depending on the angle of the stick, the amount of the stick in the stream, and the amount of paint you allow to collect on the face of the stick will produce different effects. This trick can be used with H.V.L.P. paint guns also but it can be a lot more finicky.
Looks great! When you make tight fitting pockets for magnets add a small through hole in the center of the pocket to allow the air (and excess glue) to escape. Also, you might want to invest in an airbrush/compressor. It's easy to get your spatter effect.
LETS GOOO blue beetle is my favorite hero I could not wait for Frank to hop onto the subject and see how well he did and I have to say it is amazing.
Frank you nailed it. That paint job is 🔥🙌🏽
Omg I freaking love it!!! That paint technique really looks amazing!!
I just got into 3D printing and I am looking forward to making these really cool helmets with my FDM printer! I will be watching you more and more!
Ok I want to say thank u for posting this. I just got a resin printer. But I have be struggling on how to print on it. So I’m glad that ur stating the resin journey because a lot of ur videos helped me with filament 3d printing
I like how your just Casually watching Cordorcrew at Time 11:31
Tip for making spray paint sputter/splatter (if you've never tried it)... Take the nozzle off the can, then with an "xacto" knife kinda drill out and "damage" the nozzle where the paint comes out. The more "chewed up" the nozzle, the greater the splatter. Of course that nozzle is useless for "normal" painting, so spares are good to have around. 👍
Once again hit of the park! great job brother!! Hope you enjoyed your trip congratulations well deserved
That pearlescent effect looks amazing 🙌👏👏👏!!!
Once again, Frank dropping an awesome video tutorial. I hope you're having an amazing vacation, and I look forward to your streams when you come back ❤❤❤
Super Super Cool!! I love the paint job!
I just moved to Aus and left all my printers in the Philippines. Watching your videos really helps me with my withdrawal syndrome (withdrawal from 3d printing 😅)
Went on my 1st cruise to Mexico not too long ago! glad to see you back and killing another piece , this looks movie accurate and that is top notch paint job! resin printer def on my wishlist now.
this honestly inspired me to get started with resin printing !
Love your vids and you inspired me to start 3d printing. Thank you for all you do.
*YEAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! LET'S GO!!!!!*
Pure dedication
First of all, amazing video. Second I envy your painting room/setup, it looks super cool. I can't wait till I have space to set something up like that. Also loved to see you watching the Pluto video from corridor crew. Love watching their videos, especially Wren's. Sometimes you just gotta put on a video in the background while doing the more tedious parts of projects. Love your videos, I've learned a lot from watching your content.
I hope you have a good rest of your vacation
Resin is the dream!
Glad to see you back from vacation! Hope you guys enjoyed the break! ❤ I can’t WAIT for the movie, but if you are looking for more info on blue beetle, I recommend the JLA and Blue Beetle Comics. I read them as a kid and they are GREAT 👍
He isn’t back he just uploaded the video from the vacation. He will be back may 2nd
@@camtron1967 ohhhh…. Dang it.
I foresee the future of cosplay having digital display lenses that track your eye movements for animations. Imagine!
It's crazy how much 3d has come!
That Iron Man in the background Looks so cool
Without the Speckle effect it looks IDENTICAL to the Injustice 2 design for Blue Beetle.
Either one is stunning! Keep up the solid work dude! ❤️
Fooking amazing!!!! Great paint job!
Awesome build bro that helmet is sick 😷
Dang, this is good looking! Great work as always!
has that robo cop blue shade to it,looks amazing, that is a freakishly perfect fit for you
Loving the new intro.
This looks dope! A large format resin printer is a bit too expensive for me, but I use mine for smaller parts that have fine details. One recommendation is to use resin that is ABS like, or getting something like sirayatech Blu and mixing some in with regular resin. Makes it almost as tough as ABS.
I’m going to have to print out the blue beetle helmet and the rest of the suit. Thanks Frank for another great video
10:25 corridor crew easter egg 😂😂
Nice job! Hope you had a great vacation!
Great work man!
it loooks so nice im starting to go into 3d printing my self have fun and a goood day
Amazing!
I don't know what you do for a day job, but you would absolutely kill at prop work!
Hope the cruise went well.....months ago! Lol
This is my day job haha 😆 thank you
looks amazing
That helmet looks so cool, enjoy your holiday.
Dude this is insane!!!! I need it lol
Thank you haha
The rough finish where the supports were can be mitigated somewhat by trying to orient the print such that the smallest and/or least visible part of the print is facing the build plate. Those first few layers get a LOT of exposure, which causes the fugly surface. Using a raft also helps. Resin is awesome. It's just totally different from FDM. I really want to get my hands on a large resin printer. The Mono X is much better than the standard Photon I started on, but still not big enough for me.
Absolutely great work .Good job man
I love your work of art
Frank i know nothing about printing and stuff but for the paint i've seen street artists spray paint on their plastic gloves and then flick it on to the canvas i think it could work for your project as well u could search it on yt how to make stars with spray paint hope it maybe helps.
This is too awesome and I can't wait to see the full movie

Do3d actually modeled the buster sword, so there’s another project to look forward to.
Great job on the helmet btw!
Not touching it until the movie premieres and they get proper reference
you're awesome man i wish i was this talented
Wow dude, well printed.
Great video. Hope the holiday was great.
Try immersing the resin prints in hot tap water before removing the supports for about a minute. This will soften them and reduce the scaring.
Was hoping you'd do this helmet. Great video as always
This is a masterpiece!!
I love the corridor video during assembly 🤣
Fantastic Job! 👍👍
That's really cool.
sheesh that looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Omg I want your chair absolutely love it
Gloves!! Even grabbing the build plate out of the printer you should be using gloves, as that top part will still absolutely come in contact w/ resin throughout the handling process. The second you go to open those doors you should be gloved up, resin burns are absolutely not joke.
Helmet turned out amazing though, love seeing more stuff done in SLA.
This is a dope project. Only thing I can say for someone trying to replicate the paint job is consider an airbrush instead of a rattle can. You will keep the speckles very fine and be able to build in a very slow and controlled way. It would be pretty easy. I imagine getting this result with a bunch of rattle cans would require a lot of experience with spray paint.
Damn, a man of culture! Love Corridor Crews :D 11:20
Looks pretty awesome. One suggestion tho: add a bit of black to the magnet tabs, they're visible in the seam
My dude all these videos just make me wanna run out and buy a printer!!
The build turned out great man. I really can't wait till i an afford and also have the space to have a large size resin printer. Currently have a midsized one. At quick glance I already saw some people offering some great tips. I don't know about anyone else but I tend to wash my prints in alcohol while the supports are still on to avoid resin splattering on you when break off supports since it's such a toxic material. And this way after I washed them in alcohol I can put them in warm water or you can also use a heat gun which I like best to remove the supports. They melt off like butter and no water or resin splattering everywhere when you use a heat gun.
I do not know if you know but a good tip to romove supports from resin prints is to use heat, like a heat gun or hot water, that way you do not leave scars in the print
AWESOME JOB DEFINITELY MAKES ME WANT TO INVEST
Looks very impressive! Please make an Ant-Man helmet next!
THIS IS AMAZING! 🍾🍾🤩🤩😭😭
Bruh. So good
No you.
LOOKS SICK DUDE!
Amazing man ! What a good job !
No views??? Wow I'm early
Same 😂
You are
🥇 You were first to comment
Super sick !! Paint job came out great! Hopefully I can fit this print on my Saturn S
use a air dryer (the small hot air blower) to remose supports more easily.
With plastic lenses you can just dremel them into shape. Draw with a sharpie, use the sanding drum and when you're done the edges will be smooth. Then clean the sharpie out.
Yeah but cutting them goes way quicker. The dremel works but this works faster. You can use sandpaper or a dremel to smooth them
Damn it look's so good!
Casually watching corridor in the video. I feel you man...
Always
Use a dropper and fill your imperfections with a few drops of resin then cure with small uv torch, no need for filler. Nice build 👍
Lmao, "Bop it". Takes me back.
Love that you switch between FDM and SLA printers. Shows your diversity and true skill. I love my Phrozen Sonic 4k however it was a pain that it’s only compatible slicer is Chitubox. I’ve since upgraded to the Epax E10. Maybe check out those. There’s the E10 and X10
Yeah I have the e10 and x156 haha
@@FranklyBuilt seeing the price of the X156 gave me anxiety.
@@FranklyBuilt mr rich guy right here 😂😂
woah this looks amazing u did an great job!!!
i love wrens educational videos
10:19 he’s watching corridor crew!!!
So awesome! Enjoy your vacation ✌️ Please do a Tekkaman Blade next.
Great content as always
😃That Helmet Looks Awesome it came out perfectly👍👍 I've got to learn how to make one
🔵 Beatle movie was awesome 👍🏼😎
If you wanted to get a similar hexagon pattern on the eyes, look at headlight/taillight tint vinyl. Iirc, Vivvid has at least one honeycomb design
I have this Cosplan for a Montagne Elite Skin (Rainbow Six Siege) and all ive been doing is watching your vids! Keep up the amazing work!
Love what you did with the Blue Beetle helmet. Would like to see what you
can do with the “Wayward Gods” helmet.
clean 🤜🤛
Sick bro
This looks Awesome dude 😎👍😅
