You missed the Ultraviolet Corps, who are theoretically created off the emotion of Shame, originating out of the "Invisible (Emotional) Spectrum". Their Oath is: _"By shield of day, and shield of night we feed and grow, beyond all sight Your darkest self shall be our knight wield the sword of unseen light!"_
I don't know if that happens with paint, but scientifically white light is when the light contains all of the wavelengths. That's why both natural and artificial white light makes a rainbow when shined through a prism, the structure ofthe prism separates the different wavelengths from each other. Something that is black is absorbing all the wavelengths of light something that is white reflects all wavelengths of light
I think it's correct both ways, in art its white is the absence of color and black is every color combined. When dealing with light its the opposite, black is the absence of all light or colors from the light spectrum. So when talking about the lantern crops white is all light combined and black is the all consuming absence of light, it fits with the White lanterns being connected to all life and the black lanterns consuming light and life bring the universe back to the void
@@Gh0st-np5oj you are correct about it being different between art/pigments and light. since our context is the lanterns we're talking about light. Glad I'm not the only one who understands that there is a difference
Planet Oa is said as "Oh-Ah". Shame man. Good editing with your videos, but this is the third I have watched that is lacking or has wrong information. No sub for me.
On the Star Sapphires: Its been a long while since I read the Lantern comics (since the 'War of Light' series I think), but WHY is the entity associated with Love called "The Predator", and looks like a rip off Xenomorph? 😧 Did the writer have a bad experience with an Ex when he wrote this lore? 😂 Also, for the Blue Lantern Oath: I wonder if it was changed by Mandate From Above, because it just seems to make more sense to say "When all seems lost in the Blackest Night" instead of "War of Light", but they were introduced during the War of Light story, and the upcoming 'Blackest Night' was a secret then.
Im just taking a guess here but i think the predator as the entity of love is due to the human race prioritizing love over just about everything. Movies, books and tv are heavily influenced by romance, plus pop culture and society, more so in certain parts of the world. People hunt for love like wolves hunt for food. As for the design yeah it totally looks like Ripley should walk up to it at any moment and say "get away from her you b!tch!" Plus its called the predator, must be a aliens vs predator fan lol
I think you have it backwards. Black is the combination of all colors. Any second grader can tell you that. Whits is the absence of color. Other tham that great video.
Actually white is the color produced when light has all wavelengths of light, that's why when you shine natural/white through a prism it makes a rainbow, the prism is separating the different wavelengths from eachother. Black is the absence of light.
The term white light in physics is a euphemisim for "visible light". In terms of chromatics you can't mix all prime colors and get white. You get black. The combination of all color.

You missed Gold and Ultraviolet Lanterns
And Gray Lanterns
I was waiting for the gold lantern....
Quick as lightning, strong as steel
Watch out danger, he's for real
You know when light-...wait...
Blue, green and white ☺️
Now we just need the Snyder universe to reform and go to work on this.
An yet we keep getting retold batman and superman movies… smh
10:00 thats Kyle Rayner.
Great video!! Really informative 👍🏾
Wasn't there, pink lanterns?
What about gold lantern?
4:46 It may be spelt RYUT but, it’s pronounced Riot.
White and phantom lantern are pretty strong
Not "Hunters", "Manhunters"!
The funny thing about this is, in reality, black is actually the combination of all colours and white is the absence there of.
I think you just set it backwards
Black absorbs all, white reflects everything.

Where are the Brown Lanterns? Or the Magenta Lanterns?
Grooble will be there. Probably. Maybe. It's unclear.
What if all the Lantern Corps were in Star Wars?

Not by DC logic, which reflects the white light splitting into the rainbow upon hitting a prism
Actually white is the color produced when light has all wavelengths of light, that's why when you shine natural/white through a prism it makes a rainbow, the prism is separating the different wavelengths from eachother. Black is the absence of light.
@@nicksafe9800 Well shit, guess every Art teacher I've ever had lied to me.

I'm totally red star sapphire yellow and compassion
What about the corps sayings before the new recruit does the oath?
No gold?
