Karen O is more than a singer in a band.
Shes a piece of art.....Fearless!!!....her outfits, movements and animal sounds....out of this world.....oh and that smile, life is good.
Congrats for continuing this long.
Your comment is possibly the most spot on of any comments I've read about any singer/musician!! Great stuff Jo 👌💪👍
@@thomaswinter4859 Thanks 😊 She rocks like no other.....Siouxsie sioux, maybe her equal.
@@jomassey4207 What I really liked about your original comment was you mentioned Karen's smile. On stage she's always smiling or laughing which is infectious to her fans!
Pure Bliss...love her energy
I'll add to the appreciation for the smile, but it's not just her, it's the whole band. They love what they do, and it's very obvious. An absolute joy to watch!
I'm supposed to be working, watched this instead, best 42 mins I've ever spent at work.
15:00 Spitting Off The Edge Of The World
19:30 Burning
23:56 Gold Lion
28:09 Wolf
32:38 Heads Will Roll Intro
33:42 Heads Will Roll
38:10 Maps Dedications
39:00 Maps
😊😊
Thank you, I had to FF that interview. Felt so fratty.
Thank you very much. 😊
❤ o
Thank you so much! 🤗
It’s like they never left. Nick still roars & loops like no other, Karen is still awkward & adorable but a live wire once she picks up the mic & Brian is still one of the most inventive but underrated drummers in rock. Between them & Blur putting out new music I’m genuinely excited.
Love that drummer! Outside of the box drummer. Unique. I still don't understand how anybody can be comfortable drumming traditional grip, but it sure works for him!
Hey you should check out a band called The Doublejumps if you like Yeah Yeah Yeahs!
Millions of drummers play traditional grip im one of them this is nothing special
@@Ilovemusic793 yeah, he is well-schooled - Oberlin Jazz major, right?
With that cadence and vibe he could be Max Weinstein Jr...love his groove
I just noticed that a Drummer will deliver pseudo Hits like when they focused in real tight.
I vibe with the drummer. He's absolutely loving it!
My favorite band is BACK!! The tunes, the vibe, the gear, the color. All of it!
❤
The first two albums are untouchable for me..!!! Such awesome records that were the soundtrack to a very special time in my life..!!
I'm a new fan. Recently heard 'burning' for the first time. Great sound with catchy tunes and what a voice she has.
saw them in just like heaven festival, still so good. karen's live vocals are unreal
Me too ! Saw them at Just like Heaven, Life is Beautiful I. vegas and ACL in Austin. Traveled strictly for them!!
Still?
Shut up with that
Karen O's voice is still fantastic!
She is just spectacular, inevitable, irrevocable, incredible.
Unstoppable...
She sound amazing.
One of the best performances I've ever had the pleasure to witness. Straight FIRE. Thank you
Hell yea....love this band. Best comeback ever.
I've always been a fan....then I saw them live at a festival years ago accidentally and was blown away by their live show.....the sonic bliss it was, wouldn't miss another opportunity to see them again
Has there ever in the history of music been a more thought provoking band?
On top of that beautiful vocals, inspiring drumming and a maestro for a guitarist.
I am and have been in LOVE for over 20 years ❤
Omg i love the drummer plus everything about the band
"ever in the history of music"
Why write such a nonsensical thing?
I have been listening and loving music for 50 years. But to declare the best ever, in the history of the world of any band is silly.
Their exceptional and unique.
They always deliver.
But, I could type for the rest of the day, all the others that are equally exceptional.
Saw them in Houston and 19 yr old me lost his mind!! 40 yr old me was really feeling it the next day lol
Hey you should check out a band called The Doublejumps if you like Yeah Yeah Yeahs!
I love "Maps" so much.. Ever since I played it on Rock Band ample times so many years ago....I've been in love ever since. PLEASE continue to create vibes for the music world to enjoy YYY's.
Great interview, love this band, so unique and their music is so diverse!!
Wow just wow..........They are just hitting their stride. Keep it up, sorry to see that their Saturday night live appearance was cancelled! Please re-schedule!!!!! More people need to see you guys!
This live rendition of Wolf is killerrrrr❤
They are just awesome!
i literally just starting tearing up in the dining hall of my college when they played maps. that song makes me so emotional, im so happy it exists
Holy crap, they are still amazing!
Still one of my fav bands to see live. Only got to see them twice but it was in there hey day. Even before they had released Heads will Roll.
I love these guys, great music/cool-chill-fun people.
Great band, really love the new album, could've been a downer after so long but they are still awesome.
HOW GREAT COULD ANYONE BE?
I love this band! ❤ what a voice! 🥰 great Songs! WOW!
Hey you should check out a band called The Doublejumps if you like Yeah Yeah Yeahs!
Absolutley LOVE seeing a REVSTAR guitar being used in this band. Awesome as always!
I wish I could see them live❤❤❤❤
They are on tour now - in Boston on Friday... I am working that night : (
Wow great show !!! What a treat.
Great seeing them in an intimate setting!
Amazing band, amazing gig, amazing Karen O!!!!xoxo

Great show! That’s when u understand how great bands can work a small venue
Hey you should check out a band called The Doublejumps if you like Yeah Yeah Yeahs!
They still sound amazing! I misse my high school days..
I just found these guys a week ago and omg, im obsessed with them and have searched their catalog on spotify up and down. karen O has the best pipe in rock!
goose bumps... edge of the world is so great.. the best perhaps
Love, he kept the looper going at the end with the walk-off. Luv ❤️ it
Wow. I had every opportunity back in the day to see them live, & never did. That was an amazing performance. Took me back to being 16 & just lost, & searching for who I wanted to be, while the war was going on, and the market was crashing, and divorces were skyrocketing, and the love we had for each other as teens going through ALL that. Damn man. Millennials…we went through it. …..💖💜
Three comments. 1) I was super stoked to see Imaad Wasif backing YYYs again--decades ago, I learned of him from watching the Gold Lion performance on Letterman back in the day. Good to see him again, and better IMO than the other 'touring band' members previously. 2) Unless I'm missing something (e.g., another person triggering samples), I have underestimated how much Nick does (skillfully) in terms of filling out/layering the sounds. 3) I love the YYYs as a whole, but there is nothing like watching Brian play that fills me with so much (air-drumming) joy!
simply the best performance! feels like watching this back in 2004 and KO just doesn't ages.
They’ve gotten SO MUCH better than they were in 2004. They have matured better than any other NYC band from that era. They continue to grow anc astound as artists. It’s so exciting seeing what they will come up with next. I remember seeing Sacrilige on David Letterman and getting chills. That was ten years ago!
@@LikeSomeDude couldn't agree more..crazy aite? i just watched their 'There Is No Modern Romance' docu, love seeing how KO really serious abt nothing but only em music..and damn i almost forgot Sacrilege 10 years edy, was it? haha
So very, very, very excellent live performance.
Hey you should check out a band called The Doublejumps if you like Yeah Yeah Yeahs!
Saw them and Walkmen at Kilby Block in Utah....all amazing....great lineup
God Lord time has flown.... and this music still Rocks and does not sound corny at all... because it Rocks.
@KROQ
I'm a fan of the YYY's and I missed every YYY show since 2006 but I would have loved to see them. Thank you so much for this official YYY performance upload.
Zinner, Chase, Orzolek. #KROQ . I'll stop typing.
-J.T
They gave us Gold Lion in the setlist.
I never really listened to them before.
I think they are making some cool sounds with interesting melodies and grooves. I enjoyed this performance alot and I'm going to listen to more of their stuff . They seem very modern and valid !
As a musician I would love to see a rig rundown as the guitarist and bass players have huge looking rigs that seem to be fun to play .
I wish them much success in the future as long as they care to play! 🙏🙌🫶💞
This is really great! Thanks YYY
People can't even put their phones down to see them in a tiny room that's being pro-shot.
pathetic
Its so lame agree
Phones should be banned at all music venues. Obnoxious.
they can do what they want, clown
I think it's great. People are witnessing a moment they want to capture. They are fans. They are in awe like someone witnessing a beautiful sunset and want to watch it again and share with family or friends. Whether it's pro shot or not they just want to capture it themselves.
❤ impeccable slaying. impeccable sound production :)
OH MAN! THAT STAB WITH THE MIC... 🖤
KAREN IS INCREDIBLE! ❤
Love Yeah Yeah Yeahs! BTW Karen O penned one of her most beautiful and haunting songs called I Shall Rise for the video game Rise of the Tomb Raider in 2015. If you've never heard it Google I Shall Rise. It's a gem!!
OH MY DEAR LORD THIS LADY!!!!!!!!!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Love see them.
THIS is an EXEPRIENCE 🦂🦂🦂. I was vibing HARD with the my guy on acoustic, intimate setting is his forte I see. Nick ofc always does his THING, always LOVE that BRIAN smile and epiphanies and Queen K the angel ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 y’all came out when I was born and I thank GOD bands like you have paved the way for ALCHEMY AND STILL! 🤍 will love to see you live 🗽
god forbid you enjoy the moment without taking your phone out lol
loved this. the most striking thing to me was this.. i mean it in the kindest possible way, but when they’re speaking in the interview, it seemed like they were struggling, or at least not at complete ease. a lots of ums, uhs, likes, you knows.. things weren’t expressed all that clearly. and the moment they switched over the the performance, everything was different. they could not be more articulate in their preferred mediums. such emotion and clarity, just masterful. it was really amazing and such a good reminder that we are all so lucky when we get to see talented people who’ve found what they’re meant to do, doing it so well. ❤
Yeah, sounds like they are just getting their tour legs back - The interviewers were kinda blunt and clumsy I thought
sweet- thank you . ! for your effort !
Awesome,I assumed if they're playing here, they must be touring this summer...Red Rocks This Summer, hell yeah!!!
Te amo Karen 😍19 años amandote 😍🤩
Thanks for uploading 🇬🇧
Que mujerón. La amo.

YES...Yeah Yeah Yeah's - 1st time and it was good for me
Omg this band is so good where have i been
What an amazing set! Best ever performance of Heads Will Roll 32:25!
I remember I got their EP (the one with Karen O wearing a necklace that spells MASTER) back in 2002 and played it for the first time while driving in my first-ever, brand-new car in Montreal (a yellow Mazda Protege 5). When "Bang" came on, I pulled over because I was so blown away. It had been ages since a band grabbed me like that; and then, of course, "Art Star." I liked "Maps" on their follow-up album (I walked from Van Horne to the HMV in downtown Montreal to buy it) but none of their stuff could compare, for me, to that initial experience. Maybe it was just that time in my life, or maybe that EP was the best they'd ever be, but there's a special place in my heart for this band, despite (like U2) however cheesy fame made them.
Thank God, they all seem to be doing well. 🙏
Good. good.
Caught them at JLH fest 2019 when they came off hiatus, *_praying_* they'd still have their edge and power. They so fucking did. I must've cried the whole gd time.
por mas el mejor grupo caray!
I already sold my post mortum likeness and identity to the purina corporation... signed Lassie.
Karen, Nick, Brian - I love you guys so much
so cool
Great ❤
found Spitting Off the Edge of the World through FIFA 23. Great song.
Their Houston show was great!
Badass!!!
holy crap that was good.
Nick mocking the audience by taking all those photos of them has made my day.
Спасибо!
Apresentação linda! 🤠
That crowd was a taxidermist's playground...
Thank you KROQ for share the show. No Y Control song. 😔
Please dont let these people interview anyone ever again
Walkmen name drop at minute six made my day
One of the best rock bands ever before the rock die some years ago.
Hey you should check out a band called The Doublejumps if you like Yeah Yeah Yeahs!
Don't know these folks... they have a huge sound, then dynamic sound. good stuff
they used to be a bit minimal in the early days with just drums and guitar for instrumentation... kinda like White Stripes/Black Keys/early Sonic Youth
