THANK YOU FOR THIS CHANNEL! My anxiety was at an all time high when I heard the first lecture in my Organic Chemistry 1 course. However, by watching your videos and continuously practicing, I am starting to feel more comfortable with the subject.
Thank you! My ochem 1 prof isn't doing live online lectures and simply gives us a power point of the chapter subject info with practice problems that do not have background info or step by step instructions on how to solve the problem. I literally was in the acceptance stage of failing the class.

so recently i just started my modular schooling in organic chemistry. honestly, i'm a very slow learner how much more when there is no teacher explaining the lesson to me. i barely don't understand just by reading chemistry. thank you for this video i really learned a lot from here and i can now answer seat-works independently. thank you!
Oh my gosh you're amazing. Thank you so much for simplifying this so well. Your voice is also really nice to listen to. Not at all irritating. I'm doing a Future Learn course on Everyday Chemistry and was so confused for like three days. The Head Tutor recommended this video. I'm so glad he did.
i really appreciate how you simply explain these things without sounding complicated. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I might download a lot of your free pdfs! and I am gonna be watching your videos whenever I need help in orgchem! you're efforts are really appreciated. God bless.

I will be doing organic chemistry for the third time in September, definitely watching your videos, I have a strong feeling I will be getting A+, thanks for the book recommendation of organic chemistry for dummies and organic chemistry as a second language have excellent reviews. I like the part in this video where you mention working backwards, can see you mentally preparing us for retrosynthesis
I love your confidence! Orgo is a tough class, but with the right resources and the right mentality, you CAN learn this material and learn it well. We'd love to have you in the organic chemistry study hall! Details: leah4sci.com/join or contact me through my website leah4sci.com/contact/

So anxious about my organic chemistry subject but by watching this, you made it easy for me to understand this concept now. Thank you for this video. God bless 🙏
This is the best video I have ever seen describing about skeletal structures . I could understand it very well..I am in 10th and this is an 11th or 12 th standard topic ...thank you so much for teaching ..you have gained yourself another subscriber! :)
omg i just learn so much from this video. i tried reading the textbook so many times and still didnt get it but this video helped me so much thank you!
No guilt! Orgo is a tough course, and I'm happy to help you understand! I actually wrote an article all about how difficult it is and why: leah4sci.com/why-organic-chemistry-is-so-difficult/
I don't even have this topic in my syllabus, but I needed to learn this because google keeps showing me these skeletal structure when ever I type a chemistry question. your vid was great help thxxxx!!!
In the example of butanamide, there is a lone pair on the nitrogen atom. I did not include it here. However, that lone pair does NOT replace the presence of the two hydrogen atoms. It is imperative that you still draw in the hydrogens.
Thank you very much! I've just started learning organic chemistry, so the skeletal structure will cut time since we've only learned the Lewis structure and structural formulae
I'm kind of confused at 13:39. I understand why it would be a straight line 180 from carbon 2 to 3. But wouldn't carbon 1 to 2 be a 109 angle? As well as carbon 3 to 4. Thanks!
The only way to connect two points here is in a straight line. When we talk about forming an angle (think back to geometry class), we must look at the particular space created between THREE points. The angle from 1-2-3 must be 180 degrees, as well as the angle from 2-3-4.
On the quiz part 3 (e), how come the third carbon doesn’t have an H attached in the Lewis structure?? Shouldn’t there be an H bc the formula is ch3ch2cHc(ch3)ch2cl

For the last example, can you draw the hydrogen atoms as a lone pair on the nitrogen?
