That’s awesome, maybe u can answer me this question. I have a 2018 tundra. I want to put a bigger head unit with CarPlay in but don’t want to lose the navigation system on the digital gauge cluster. Do u know if I swap out the headunit will I retain the gauge cluster navigation and gps system?
The cluster will only talk with the factory Nav unless you find a way to adapt them together. Most likely the cluster won’t know what to expect from a 3rd party radio. If you do anything go to the 20+ CarPlay factory headunit
I am an Electronics Engineer and I am quite interested in what you have done here. I have been thinking about doing something similar for my 2010 RCLB! Can I contact you and discuss?
Amazing nice work, how can I modify my 2015 to the 18 dash? No safety sense needed. Been looking for this. Was there a pin swapp or anything. Glad its possible
It’s possible but also not practical in a way. To date only 4 trucks 2017 and older have a working 2018+ cluster including mine. I built the hardness and microcontroller for all 4. I am the only one with the program code to make it work and it took me over a year to write it all.
For the cluster swap, $700 or so in parts but hours and hours of reverse engineering to make it all communicate. As I said in the video this is the only Tundra with this working. One guy has a Sequoia with the same swap but I wrote all the code from him and he just installed it all.
Everyone who owns a Tundra knows the body is not a 2007. You are trying to say you replaced the bed, all the lights, the front Fenders and bumper and complete interior??? Absolutely not this is just fake and you should not put fake videos.
I did replace all of that because you can’t buy a third gen regular cab short bed tundra. Toyota stopped producing them in 2013. The truck is very much real and you can see pictures of the entire process here www.tundras.com/threads/the-4-month-27k-2007-rcsb-trd-pro-build-full-2014-conversion-front-clip-interior-bed.90281/ Unless you now want to claim I photoshopped 100 pictures and an 8 minute video.. 😂
Woah, great job. This is something I was wondering about myself. Glad to see you put the effort in, the truck looks awesome
I saw this on some forms a couple months ago
Nice conversion !-cannot imagine how much time spent on this. Must be tremendous. Tq for sharing
If at some point you decide to sell this harness let me know I want to do this swap on my 2016 tundra. Love the full conversion on the 07!
This is awesome, will you be posting how you did it ?
Sick truck bro.. I love it.. 🛻👍🏻
Did you ever develop the canbus translator for sale? Or just for personal use?

It would have been cheaper to just buy a third gen Tundra lol
