Dski keeps the smoke rolling no matter what the weather bvrings! Check this one out!! Mexican Style Leg Quarters! #dskigrillz #legquarters #workhorsepits1975
You have very organized methods. That's successful to consistant repeatability. Clean kitchen. Organization around your cooking area, everything planned out. Excellent!!!
I hate it when it rains during a cook but like you did, we over come. Alot of people forget about leg quarters when smoking and grilling including myself. Another great cook Sir!
Awesome cook, so glad I got to check this video out & learn a few things, we have been so busy that UA-cam was off limits until finally today I got a chance to watch. Do glad to see you had an umbrella so you wouldn't get your hair wet, I hate when I get my hair wet & it messes up my beauti-messiful looks!!! Love you Brother!!
Hey Tyanna. I bought a cover but after watching a video from JD, owner of Workhorse Pits, he suggested this method of using Linseed oil as a protective barrier. It works well against the elements. Have a good weekend.
Nice set up. Have to respect a man who takes pride in what he has. You should build a pergola over the workhorse with 5 foot eaves. That should save you from normal rain. High winds. You should not be bbqing unless you build those metal sheds around it. Competitive edge products has the perfect size 11x18. Then you have room to store wood and dry wood during your cooks. Great job!!!
I just made these for Memorial Day on my 1975-T. Running an offset on a windy day is a pain as you said nice cook and gotta love dalstrong knives I assume that’s what knife that was. I can’t tell if you have it on your 1975 or not. But man a ball valve for the geese trap makes life easier.
Because I really wanted to fire up the workhorse 1975 and I’m trying to master smoked chicken on this grill for when i have large catering events. I’m able to get close to 70 pieces at a time and you can’t beat that oak wood flavor.
I noticed with high heat cooks it’s easier when removing the fire management basket to get to the 300 plus temps. For low and slow, the basket works great.
It is not needed. I have cooked in some of the most well respected BBQ joints in central Texas since 2012 and for the life me I cannot figure out why one would intentionally want to separate their coals. Keep the coals together in the bottom of the bowl for more even control of the chamber

Yep Dalstrong knife for sure and I need to get a ball valve right away. Thanks for the advice. Have a good weekend.
Since you have multiple grills, why did you choose such a large grill for such a small amount of protein?
Because I really wanted to fire up the workhorse 1975 and I’m trying to master smoked chicken on this grill for when i have large catering events. I’m able to get close to 70 pieces at a time and you can’t beat that oak wood flavor.
You need a Tent
Awesome video! Who did your pool and outdoor space? I’m in the Mansfield area and I’m looking to do the same. Your setup is awesome
Complete Outdoor Living in Cedar Hill. Ask for Matt and let him know Dorian sent you. You will be very pleased with their service.
I see you’re not using the fire management basket. Can I ask why not?

how does the workhorse 1975 compeare to lone star girllz smoke flavor wise
I see no difference in the two. Both smokers are on point with infusing proteins with great smoke flavor. Have a great 4th of July!
@@DskiGrillz thank you if u had to chose one which one would you get
