1. What camera do you use?
I shoot most walks on a DJI Pocket 2 or my iPhone 15 Pro Max. For drives, it's the same cameras - but on a dashcam mount.
2. Where do you live?
I live in the southeastern United States. Kentucky, specifically.
3. What do you do for a living? I work in the coffee industry. That’s all you’ll get from me on that.
4. How do you pick the locations that you film?
I film in places that I go for work, and also in places that I travel to - finding amazing travel deals is a bit of a hobby of mine.

Its sad ther is nothing to do for kids and when i mean by that is ya a park and expensive acrades but the history center doesnt do much for kids only teens

I like narrated walks because I enjoy learning about the different buildings, artists, history, etc.
Great video of Lexington! I really enjoyed the walking tour with narration. I think it provides a true representation of the city. It brought back good memories. My husband and I lived and worked in Lexington (and in neighboring Georgetown) for over 30 years.

I wish I was able to walk in downtown Lexington - The tall buildings, openness, and people are a trigger for my anxiety but hopefully some day!

@@ThePerfectWalk I really appreciate your videos. I've watched this one several times and now I'm thinking about visiting Lexington. I'm considering a relocation. I'm a New York City woman and need an urban environment because I don't drive. I've lived in a city all my life.
I want to move here but I’m going to have to take the whole cosmetology test over because they don’t except out of state transfers! Stupid Kentucky government!

I much appreciate the reality of street and people sounds over ambient sound.
We moved from SF / CA to Lexington just around the time when you must have made this Video and really fell in love with the People, City and Countryside❣
Aside from the Ocean, anything in regards to convenience seems to be just a 15 - 30 minutes car ride away.
We of course still have yet to discover some of the 1500+ Restaurants in and around Lexington.😎

At least you didn't ignore Vine Street completely. Some do, and that's the most big city looking street in Lexington.

@@ThePerfectWalk If they do it right, the Town Creek Park expansion into downtown should be spectacular. I'm hoping for a river walk type of feature. I think it will be a tipping point for Lexington to further clarify it as one the great US cities.

I was there last March and I really love it. I love small cities. I felt more comfortable. I live in Phoenix now and it is super crowded.

I'm moving from Phoenix to Lexington in few months
So weird seeing people call Lexington a "small city". I moved to Lexington in my Grandpas house that he left me 10 years ago from a small town called Jackson in South Eastern Kentucky where I was born and raised with a population of around 2000 and Lexington still feels like it's never ending to me. Lol
So want to visit here someday!
You do a nice job of walking us thru a swatch of downtown Lexington. You have a good aesthetic eye for nice artsy murals and sculpted works. In terms of making a suggestion, in future videos you may want to also add in some anedcoatal stories about particular places along the walk. For example, is there a funny story you recollect about one of the places...well tell it. When you mentioned the nightlife was just beginning around 9pm, perhaps also mention which places seem to draw the big crowds. Lastly, you passed various tables of folks casually having outdoor drinks. Maybe briefly say hi on the video and ask them a fun or silly question, then move on. IMHO, you are a good Kentucky citizen, but you may want to spice things up a little! Thanks. Bill

Ok. This is just my thought - but I like the new apartments near the Masterson Station area and also near Hamburg Pavilion - both areas offer easy access to the interstates, restaurants, downtown - and don’t have as much traffic as other spots on the south side (out Nicholasville or Harrodsburg road. Also stay open to the small towns adjacent to Lexington - lower cost housing but still only 20 minutes to anything you want in Lexington: Georgetown, Winchester, Frankfort, Paris, Mount Sterling, etc

Is Lexington safe for seniors? We are looking a safe and clean town to retire.
My experience is that Lexington is very safe. Medical care in my experience has also been very good thanks to the presence of the University of Kentucky. Probably the largest danger is traffic accidents really. I’m sure there’s better resources on the subject than me, but my own lived experience is that it is a very safe city

Locally I drive - most cities in this part of the USA are very focused on car transportation. There isn’t really good public transportation - no subway or train - but some buses.

I'm following your narration on Google Maps, which orients me better to the downtown. This town is nicely laid out and quite pleasant with its variety of restaurants and venues. Even Triangle Park is a nice little oasis if you need to sit for a bit. Thanks for the tour! Regards from Toronto Canada.

Muffled - mask outside is an exercise in futility and it was hard to understand you. -- Nice downtown but not a lot to really get excited about. Just an area for the locals to hang out I suppose. People not from there likely won't be drawn to it for any special reasons ? Cities like Cincinatti Pittsburgh Columbus and Indianapolis have far more appeal for visitors in my opinion. Even Louisville. But it was nice to see it and it is the home of UK.
