Indeed ... I forgot that Jones played that track! And of course Kaleidescope was the Banshees transition album when they were inbetween guitarists - John was still with one foot out the door with Magazine and being coaxed into the Banshees by Severin. I still really love Johns take in this live performace ...
These early McGeoch clips are great. Wish I had seen Siouxsie live from 1980-1982, but did see a half dozen concerts with McGeoch/PIL.These were outstanding.
However, you have to consider that it`s not a McGeoch song. Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols played guitar on Paradise Place, on the Kaleidaskope album. This is why there is a complete different guitar sound here. ;)
Oh how great is this ... hearing John play some of the more bluesy lines in Paradise place with bends where he kept it straight up on the album ... lovely!
Eric, he said that she looks cool, didn't say she he's a female Hendrix. apart from that, go watch more lives, she actually plays decently those 4 chords, apart from that too, why don't you go fuck yourself? self entitled guitar hero of my dick.
Holy shit! Too bad it's only a partial show. The quality is great! Not very much quality live stuff available from the Kaleidescope tour! They should have had a live album when McGeoch was in the band. I love Kaleidescope but those songs always sound better live.
love sioux but why she uses a guitar as a prop i don't know. it is lame. budgie is one of the most interesting drummers i have ever seen. a powerhouse with so many intricate touches.
I'm sure she's matured over the years and looks back on this interview and thinks, "God, I was such a pompous twat back then." And she was. "Don't you think anyone would want to marry me?" Siouxsie: "If it were four years ago, I wouldn't have gone into music." Interviewer: "Why?" Siouxsie: "Because it's too easy." "I hate it when people say, 'I'm the best woman singer,' because I'm the best singer of men and women." GAWWWWWD! Somebody stab me in the fucking eye with a sharpened number 2 pencil, pleeeeeeze!
She was young but i don't see anything wrong with those statements. She was best female performer at that time because most female singers are boring. You have to consider times and put it into context- it was "a thing" to be overly edgy and performers do have overblown ego, it comes with the territory. And you missed the more important first part of her statement " I don't carry anything for any FEMALES" now that's true power and emancipation, not like fake feminism of today that is just entitlement.

That Budgie is an underrated drummer.
His work rate is phenomenal.
Siouxsie: "I don't think anyone would want to marry me."
Budgie: "Bet."
Rip john the best guitarist of the banshees
Apart from John Mcay 🤠😃
The best guitarrist of pós-punk
I totally agree:) rip McKay

John McGeoch on guitar who defines the post punk sound....
I'm sure John McKay would disagree lol

Holy. Fucking. Shit.
It was the 80's,nuff said?
At least you got to see John McGeogh I didnt 1980-82 Banshees were fantastic
I saw them with J V Carruthers who was next best after McGeogh I think
I Can't Hear Siouxsie's Guitar.. :(
Pedro Enrique Amón cuz she can't play one. just sayin.
why is that guitar player wearing his pajamas in public?
Because he's that good on guitar. When you're good you can wear anything e.g. Hendrix, Captain Sensible, Cobain
As Abe Simpson would tell you, "it was the style at the time."
I believe her to have a nice electric guitar.
Someone who transcrip the interview please :(
'Auf weidersen schweinhunds' 😂

Much as I admire him, John Mc is trying to be a bit too clever in Jigsaw Feeling here...
