Goat Playscape: Have Alfred move some of your stored boulders you have laying around and stack them in there. Goats love climbing boulders. Deb: Does Deb have a tumor on the side of her head like Mr. Frizzle did? It looks like there's a protrusion there.
Don’t worry about Deb, that’s just feathering on the side of her head; it’s called ear tufts, and it is a breed-specific trait, she’s supposed to look like that!
If you put a permanent cattle watering station/shade area in the centre of your pasture, you could make a rotational pasture runs that extend out like sun rays. It’s a bit unconventional, but would allow you to rotate the cattle without moving the infrastructure.
That would work for about half his pasture land. I always imagine putting the water trough on wheels or on a mine-cart rail. Which got me thinking that the cows would tip over the shade cart on the rail track. But then I thought of the outriggers on an excavator, holding it from falling over. That's something his current shade-mobile could modify. Make them strong enough and they become their own scratching posts. Now that's an ultimate shade cart!
I’ve been missing “Release the quacken!” and “All ducks go to bed!” for so long. Also is it just me or was anyone else fixated on the hay booger on Morgan’s neck? Like Austin Power I was saying “moley moley moley”. 🤣🤣
For goats: large spools, any kind of bridge or slide. They jump naturally, so I’m not sure how much fun the trampoline would be? My local zoo has a rope bridge and piles of boulders and they love that.
I enjoy the check in with all the animals at Gold Shaw Farm. Their personalities are as interesting as their names. If Captain "Runaway Red" Janeway could only tell us her motivation, well beyond maybe juicer bugs and seeds situated away from the bigger flock, for roaming. Does Bean feel stress, doubtful as she looks fairly perky. And do Barnacus, Telemachus and Larn, plot during the evening regarding early morning break-ins? Sad about the drone, unless it is deductible as a business expense. If so trade up and devote part of a video (or an entire short) to the new tech on Gold Shaw Farm.
Oh boy I can see if coming. I did the no hands fill thing and can not tell you how many times we have forgotten to shut it off. Ducks Love it when we forget.
I really love your videos. I've watched this one while having lunch, really gives a nice break from work (you do remember working in front of a computer with meetings and office drama, right), those videos with just chores are always fun :) goat shenanigans, chill cows, Abby zoomies... it's all giving me smiles :) and then SURPRISE GENIUS WATER CONTRAPTION haha
Goats like kids play houses and picnic tables.. A trampoline could add up broken legs . 😮no!! Make the moo's a loafing shed.. keep em out on part of the pasture all winter... Just a suggestion... I absolutely love goats.. They're my favorite barnyard animal... Have a good week Morgan.. 🙋🏼♀️🐈🐕🦺
Abby is adventurous and enthusiastic about living, just like my Miska, and they are both Very! Good! Girls! I have finally realized that life is much better if I just hold to that point of view about my dogs and focus on their positive sunny natures. Abby's purpose in life is to cheer you up, not to watch your livestock. Just go with it. She is hilarious, and adds a great deal to your videos.
Ahh, I see you’ve set up your own time based competition program, how fast can you fill those water containers 😉. First time you put the whole chicken mobile in the hoop house, what will you come up with next, lol. Thinking it’s a good idea to let the cattle remain in the pasture as long as you possibly can, I know if I were a cow, it would be what I want, lol. Thanks Morgan for the update, always good to see what your up to.🐄🐓🐕🦆🪿🐕🐐🐐🐐💕👍
Positive affirmations for changing the mindset to being a good girl cracked me up! i work with all types/ages of special ed kids and for some that is what I try to do with them all day too. They try their best and can improve some, but overall just happy chaotic behavior is their thing too.
Abby could improve with consistency and training that she would benefit from. She gets conflicting information from him about her role, place and what’s expected.
@@nicsxnin6786 It seems like Morgan saw little progress in the past, Toby was so easy to train, now he doesn't know what to do. He's admitted he doesn't expect much. I think he could ask for audience help and have a dog pro come to the farm, but he already had those floods this year, posting his property and other visits. I hope he can find a home for Abby (even his own) and find a mate for Toby.
Your new watering system for the Birds is as impressive as the Trevi Fountain in Rome, the perfect balance of ingenuity, style and sophistication, a true marvel to behold. 😁
Love your watering contraption! If you truly want Abby to do better, consistent rules no matter how distracted or busy you are will help tremendously. Your goats are so adorable. They are happy to climb and jump around on wire spools and rocks, whatever solid thing you want to build out of scrap material. You are really creative, go wild!❤
I've got 2 cats, meenha is basically another Abbs, always getting in trouble. Cinders is exactly like Tobes, very calm and serene. Miss chaos, inhales her food whilst Cinders eats ever so gently a few bites, goes uses the cat litter, then comes back for a few more bites, if I don't watch her food, Meenha scarfs it all then pukes it our instantly. I used to feed them half pouch in the morning and half before bed. Now I feed them small portions throughout the day. They digest better. ❤❤❤
I like that watering system you did up - that will save time this winter. I like the cows being able to be up in the top pasture for more time, also, more room and less mud and convenient at least until it snows.
Oh Gosh Morgan...i just Love how youve shared & grown in real time! I love watching n learning...you fufill a deep yearning in me....ty eternally! GBYCS( God Bless Your Cotton Socks) made in USA❤😂the Mewzeek??? OmyPurrrfecto!
I had a blind black squirrel in my backyard. White eyes caught my attention. His strange gait just like Bean gave me insight. I named him Stevie Wonder.
You should try to find a good brush for the goats. Ive seen folks find used street sweeper brushes that worked great. Plus it reduces stuff that would end up in the junkyard :3
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like the goats don't only like the Cluckyball because it had chicken feed at some point, but they seem to also just enjoy the structure? IDK perhaps something with a similar level of complexity for them to play in, like a jungle gym for goats, would give them something to occupy their minds to not go harassing the chickens.
You need to introduce some sheep as they graze lower to the ground, the cows and sheep grazing together will improve your pastures. Just a suggestion from an Aussie.👋👋👋🇦🇺
Good Morning Morgan. ☀️ I've been on vacation for a while. My first video back and I'm treated to 'Release The Quacken'. 🥰 The goats are really earning their keep keeping areas cleaned up. I enjoyed the video. Happy Day! ❣️🌿🤗
Warm early winters tend to bring very cold winters, so moving the Weird chickens to a warmer housing sounds like a good idea, ( I live in very similar climate just less leaf trees) Something tells me your winter is going to be rough!
Maybe you could put long boards that fold out from the happy cow mobile sides and dig into the dirt on each side to try to keep it from being tipped over? Or have you already got something like that?
The water setup looks workable. When freezing I would disconnect the tap to hose to allow complete drainage of tap and hose. Don’t want either to freeze.
Last 3 winters been mild here in Vermont maybe goats like fancy ball cage for themselves lol Hey Morgan moving on up with watering setup 💪I remember you carrying buckets with sled lol
Do goats just ram things repeatedly to get in or out of places? How do they do so much destruction and why,Morgan, have we not seen it in action with a trail camera or something? VIDEO IDEA
Yeah that’s deer hunting. Not nearly as easy as many believe. I havent’t seen much myself, but the big one is out there. Any moment you could get your chance
The drone shot before it crashed made me want to move to Vermont like nothing else since going there. Shade-mobile mod: find the outriggers from a junkyard excavator and attach them. Might be a bit weighty. Time for bigger wheels and 2x every beam & dimension on that thing. At that point, we may as well find you an old Conestoga Wagon to put it out there for them. Turn your cattle herd into a team of oxen lol. I'll see myself out.
Goat Playscape: Have Alfred move some of your stored boulders you have laying around and stack them in there. Goats love climbing boulders.
Deb: Does Deb have a tumor on the side of her head like Mr. Frizzle did? It looks like there's a protrusion there.
That is a great idea!!
I'm sure the goats would absolutely love that!
Just dont put them close to the fence or they will jump out.
Don’t worry about Deb, that’s just feathering on the side of her head; it’s called ear tufts, and it is a breed-specific trait, she’s supposed to look like that!
I love sitting on my butt watching you do chores while I avoid my own.
“I love hard work - I could watch it all day.” -unknown
Putting climbing rocks in their area is important because it keeps their hooves in trim.

A water ballasted shade shed would be harder to upend while still being mobile when it's emptied
I’ve been missing “Release the quacken!” and “All ducks go to bed!” for so long.
Also is it just me or was anyone else fixated on the hay booger on Morgan’s neck? Like Austin Power I was saying “moley moley moley”. 🤣🤣
Love the drone shots. Thanks Morgan another awesome video of you doing your farm chores. The changes over the years are truly remarkable.
We are so quack
😂 😅 😂 😅 😂
I always love watching these videos with my morning coffee before i feed the horses hello from Washington State
For goats: large spools, any kind of bridge or slide. They jump naturally, so I’m not sure how much fun the trampoline would be? My local zoo has a rope bridge and piles of boulders and they love that.
Also old picnic tables would be good, they like to lay high up.
They like to climb, different levels with flat the top.

Rocks instead of a trampoline!
Those goats are like naughty toddlers!!
I am an Oregon Ducks 🦆 fan so I that’s why I love it when you release the quacken
Hello fellow Oregonian! I am in Europe but I miss Oregon.
@ good to hear from you. To make you feel at home the will be 52 and rain all day. Go Ducks 🦆
Nothing lifts my mood on a gloomy day than the Mighty Quacken. Such a lovely din. Beansie is a warrior.
Gotta love Abby. Smart, active, loving, and sweet.
The last 3 for sure.
Abby is a very good dog.
Looks like morgan has a hockey team, the mighty quacken...❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Oh boy I can see if coming. I did the no hands fill thing and can not tell you how many times we have forgotten to shut it off. Ducks Love it when we forget.
My first thought also, because I've done it so many times myself. He needs a timer shut-off valve on it.
Great perspective at 12:15 to see the slope down to your barn area.
❤ Morgan, your videos ALWAYS brightens my day. Thanx as always. ❤
😂 It's the Great Weird Chicken Roundup! 😅
I really love your videos. You summed up all my trampoline fears!
They like to climb, trampoline would not be on my list.
Abby is adventurous and enthusiastic about living, just like my Miska, and they are both Very! Good! Girls!

I ENJOY ALL YOU DO MORGAN. THANK YOU
Curiosity of goats is unmatched!

I love the ducky videos. You are the reason I started my duck obsession in 2019! I now have 9 Indian runners. Love them so much ❤
Love the new water system. Are the goats making easier to keep the farm tidier when it comes to weeds?
Your new watering system for the Birds is as impressive as the Trevi Fountain in Rome, the perfect balance of ingenuity, style and sophistication, a true marvel to behold. 😁

The beginning of the video was perfect! I always like seeing you use the drone. It is crazy what the goats did, they need things to climb on now!
I've got 2 cats, meenha is basically another Abbs, always getting in trouble. Cinders is exactly like Tobes, very calm and serene. Love the idea of a Goat Playground!! Can't wait to see it when you get it up & running! Great idea!
That split water rig you set up at the end was awesome!
Yes! I loved that. I think Morgan will devise more hacks like that and save time & energy on chores.
@@Nphen It's definitely a secret advantage to a creative type running a farm, as well as documenting it.
I like that watering system you did up - that will save time this winter. I like the cows being able to be up in the top pasture for more time, also, more room and less mud and convenient at least until it snows.
Build the goats a pyramid out of concrete blocks. My goats loved theirs.

Entertaining update Morgan!!! Thanks for sharing your farm life with us! Be well! Be safe!
Get a large cable spool for the goats
Toby: "Hungry birds? But what about the hungry dogs?"

The Quackening?
Good Morning Morgan. ☀️ I've been on vacation for a while. My first video back and I'm treated to 'Release The Quacken'. 🥰 The goats are really earning their keep keeping areas cleaned up. I enjoyed the video. Happy Day! ❣️🌿🤗
Lol I'm never this early. Captain Janeway is my favorite, always in the wrong quadrant
Warm early winters tend to bring very cold winters, so moving the Weird chickens to a warmer housing sounds like a good idea, ( I live in very similar climate just less leaf trees) Something tells me your winter is going to be rough!
ive missed the Quaken walk. 😊
Abby IS a good girl, she adores you.
Loved the watering system. Brought back Rube Goldberg memories.
Quack Quack Quack 😂
loved the editing in this video!
I really enjoyed your videos Morgan
Gold ,specially the farm videos.❤❤❤❤Thanks for your effort.
Goats 🐐 🐐 🐐 ❤
Maybe you could put long boards that fold out from the happy cow mobile sides and dig into the dirt on each side to try to keep it from being tipped over? Or have you already got something like that?
Love the drone shots + commentary.
There you go with the four way waterer, Morgan! Genius!
Morgan using the same mind games I used to get through grad school 😂
I love your portable chicken coop that is so adorable you can move it around when you want too
That weed seed bank that is developing in your hoop coop might be a nightmare for your garden. But it will be great soil.😅
Any fence that will hold water and is completely bulletproof has a 50/50 chance of holding in goats, as long as they don't get bored or hungry.
I love the quacken watering system that you made. It’s clever. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
Good idea for the watering corral...❤😊
I think the deer have their own Morgan cam 😆
When you were holding Lavender Brown & her kids, I just wanted to cuddle with all of them.
The water setup looks workable. When freezing I would disconnect the tap to hose to allow complete drainage of tap and hose. Don’t want either to freeze.
Another great video!
Trampoline wouldn’t be number one, it’s climbing they like.
I put this channel on the tv and my cat sits there and watches. For like half an hour!
❤ 😂 Toby's foreman at work site
Last 3 winters been mild here in Vermont maybe goats like fancy ball cage for themselves lol Hey Morgan moving on up with watering setup 💪I remember you carrying buckets with sled lol
Get your Buddy Alfred to get you large bolder “rocks” so they can use them to climb.
Hey Farm Friend! Thanks for the great video.
The outro is a PITA. Especially if I haven't hit the like button yet.
Quack on 🦆
Thank you Morgan.....
Old F-4 pilot Shoe🇺🇸
Goat play scape no trampoline. Old car/truck tires, boulders.
All DUCKS GO TO BED😮
Goats are VERY naughty! Toddlers got nothin' on goats.
Trampoline. I'm picturing goats' sharp little hooves piercing the fabric and bad things happening to their legs.
Nice fountain you made there at the end! It should cut your work load a bit.
Do goats just ram things repeatedly to get in or out of places? How do they do so much destruction and why,Morgan, have we not seen it in action with a trail camera or something? VIDEO IDEA
Welcome back ❤
NEK Vermont ❤ My favorite place
This is truly the beginning of the aquackening...
8:20 question. Is that an optical illusion, or did something crash into the geodesic dome?
9:50 answer. Goats being goats.
Im not sure how it works up where you are, but down here in Texas, we have found that deer also tend to move from 11am to 1pm or so...
Nature is letting you play catch up after breaking your foot.
Yeah that’s deer hunting. Not nearly as easy as many believe. I havent’t seen much myself, but the big one is out there. Any moment you could get your chance
We’re hoping to have a few ducks in the spring. Love these videos! 🦆
Abbie is a MOSTLY good girl
Morgan, big question. Are you planning on sending the Rhodes family any fertile goose eggs when they become available???
I didn’t get my buck this year, the weather was against us. We needed some rain and storms to get them moving during the day.
Vicious Abbie, attacking that collie-flower. Must have barked at her.
Maya from alveus uses mini trampolines for her goats, less for enrichment and more because the goats love to sleep on them.
Bring back Barncat POV
As someone who lives in Seattle and loves the Seattle Kraken… release them!!
Merci Morgan!
Looks like your fellow farm neighbors are close.
