You forgot about warming up the engine before so the oil get warm and flows better !
Is this oil being checked while the bike is straight up or kick stand down?
Always best to check the oil with it on a stand. Or have somebody have the bike standing straight up for you while you check.
Not full synthetic?
Good video, thanks
My R1 has 72,000 miles what Type oil recomend??
How have you taken care of it for so long??? I plan to keep my mine for that long I need pointers!!!!
You say 15-50 then fill it with 10-40 :O
Yup, it needs 10-40, plus they say 8mm Allen but my drain plug was a 6mm and the fairing bolts were 5mm.
Still waiting for John..
is it okay to change the oil filter before draining the oil?
yes, the oil filter is relatively low on an r1. So make sure u at least let it drain for a little while and make sure you still pull the oil drain plug too.
No, drain the oil first on any motorized vehicle. Or you’re just going to have more mess to clean up.
Good video but bad camera angles.
The oil that came out looks brand new 🤔
It's a tutorial, sometimes the oil is still ok, but for the purposes of showing everyone, we do a change anyway.
Where's John
I've also been on them about this
@@xtremeoffroadllc I get the whole quick tutorial but we need john especially for more harder jobs
John still makes videos every week guys! He isn't going anywhere. We just added some of the quicker tutorials with Garrett in addition to the others.
