Lovely flight, well done. This method may help you with take off. No rudder or elevator trim required, advance the throttle to about 2,300 rpm (this is below the rpm where the Merlin produces massive amounts of torque) allow speed to come up till tail lifts (you may need to give the stick a little forward pressure to lift the tail), as the tail lifts advance the throttle to 3,000rpm, At the speed where the tail lifts the control surfaces of the Spitfire have enough control to counteract the maximum torque of the Merlin engine and you will take off with minimal difficulty. Hope this helps.
Not ironic at all, it was designed as a defensive weapon because that’s what Britain needed at the time. As we went on the offensive types like typhoon and mosquito along with American types took the lions share of the work. Yes Spitfires and Hurricanes both did well in attacking roles but were limited by range, weapon load and resistance to ground fire.
I have the flight for you. Take off out of KPGA, fly over the glen canyon dam and drop down into the valley and fly it in the Spitfire with the throttle firewalled and see if you can make it to Lake Mead without impacting the canyon walls.
Isn't putting fighter planes in MFS about as useful as going to a strip club that is topless only and serves no alcohol? I'm looking at you Washington state.
If I had the millions to restore a warbird, it would be like this. All original (modern paint not so much) with the simple addition of a WAAS capable GPS. I was privileged to crawl all over flying examples pf Viet Nam era fighter jets (with the admonition not to touch anything yellow and black) including an F-100. His radio sets and instruments were all era correct. I commented on it and the owner said that's what made it a warbird. "Otherwise," he added, "if I put modern instruments in it; all I'd have was an expensive and thirsty jet."
The last mark of the Spit was more than twice as heavy than the Mark 1. It was an incredible flying machine and a war bird that would have just wiped the floor with anything during WW2, but by the time it was presented the jet planes just stole the show and Supermarine Spitfire just quietly went into the night. What a plane.
That was a pretty good landing..your takeoff was not bad. A2a in FSX was always a challenge. I would spend an hour on touch n goes and MAYBE do a half way decent landing. ITS HARD!! I never flew taildraggers IRL only tricycle gear.
Honestly, I never liked how planes behave on the ground during takeoff and landing at MSFS. The feeling is that they are made of paper and any movement on the Joystick makes them go out of control.
The real G-IRTY doesn’t have that big bulge between the lower oil cooler intakes and she has an iPad not a garmin. But still looks stunning in this sim.
@@FlightSim_Experience Absolutely is. If you're not familiar with the Canadian Rockies, take off from Hinton, Alberta and fly west into Jasper National Park. Enjoy!
I bought all 4 flying iron aircraft on sale a couple weeks ago. Have not flown them as I have to change controls around. Is there an Engine heating blanket or propane heater you should have used. Or maybe they do not have that implemented. You must have primed?? 10 times. That seems like alot.
I would even post it, but there is no other way. The only option would be to take a screenshot and zoom in. Because I took the test and I can see normally.
After a certain altitude it displays a low fuel pressure signal. But by activating the fuel tank pressure sensor switch near the primer the problem is solved.
I Hate that there is no transition from start up to idle. A cold merlin coughs and splutters for a while when starting from cold and although the cranking sound set is pretty cool it transitions straight into a benign engine idle that does not represent a 1500h.p beast of an engine that it actually is.
I don't think it will ever exist. The planes that are sold inside the MSFS store cannot come with missiles and bombs, so I highly doubt that Asobo will ever bring a combat mode.
@@dealwolfstriked272 MSFS 2020 is rated E for everyone. No weapons allowed for that rating. Only aircraft purchased outside the Marketplace can load weapons.
@@FlightSim_Experience that makes sense. I guess all we need is Asobo to take up the reins and produce the combat simulator part. Would be amazing with the tech in MSFS to fly over war torn areas and have the procedural gen start making the landscape look battle hardened.
@@dealwolfstriked272 MSFS graphics along with DCS Technology would be incredible to see. Although I still think DCS is much more advanced than any other flight simulator.

Thank you very much ! I will definitely put it into practice. Your tips will help me a lot on my next flights.
the spitfire is one of my favorite planes, this one is very well made, shame about the garmin which obviously didn't exist at the time
This plane comes with a Tablet that you can place and remove some items. You can put Gunsight in place of Garmin.
The most beautiful war machine ever created - ironically designed to defend, not attack.

@@alanpayne29 What I meant was, the irony lies in a weapon whose purpose is to prevent death. More an oxymoron, one that made this plane legendary.

Beautiful plane, great video! But somebody really need to make a Griffon Spitfire as well.
Thank you !

Would’ve been better in UK period livery
Spitfire 🔥🔥🔥
Excellente vidéo, j'adore cet avion, bravo

What is the hook shaped switch that is selected at 1:30 of the preflight?. 😮
Parking Brake.
Nicely done! Flew Invermere to Calgary last week with my CF-18, with a flyby over Canmore! :)
Thank you ! This region must be very beautiful in real life.

I am not familiar with Spitfires as much as the P-51. Why is the tail wheel always cocked almost 90 degrees to flight path?
I'm guessing it's a video capture software bug, it's not supposed to be.
Unfortunately this is a bug that happens when you use the simulator's replay mode.
@@coxy5850 Exactly. The replay mode.
Impressionante a riqueza de detalhes que você introduz nos vídeos... perfeito!! Nada passa despercebido

Yes, I noticed, I even found it strange that the engine takes so long to start. Maybe I forgot to do something.
Liked everything but the music.
Bonito pero me quedo con el modelo DCS, gracias por el aporte.
Amazing mate well done
Thank you !
I like lots of warbirds, but the Spitfire .. the most beautiful of 'm all 👍
To be honest i would put some other ww2 planes above it. Germans and Russians had some super beautiful planes... also italians.
Why the music and speeded up? Might as well have watched an F16.
The video needs to be well edited to generate engagement. If I left the flight complete it would be almost two hours of video.
can you post all your reshade effect one more time because when i open your picture on the phone i dont see the effect

Also there seems to be a fuel pressure gauge missing below the oil pressure gauge??

🤩 "Promosm"
OOhhh and the slipper droptank on it too, nice. Prefer the real time flying than the speeded up part, wish there was more of that.
Sorry, I had to cut it and make it quicker because the video would be very long and tiring.

No. The two airports came together with World Update XI: Canada.
