For an old guy who's been disabled for 31 years and spent the last 7 in bed, it is a joy to see so many young people full of joy. Rowan, you seem to collect everyone who loves trains and you are a Godly influence. Praise the Lord, you take care brother. We will meet someday in His presence.
Yes we will Louis, we will meet one day! And we will share glorified bodies for eternity! "TO GOD BE THE GLORY!"
Really nice video, Rowan. That looked like fun.
Thanks Danny, we all had a blast, got to see Moorman Yard too. ... Bellevue, OH
I just saw your new videos and they are awesome
I actually been to Fostoria in June of 2023. Very lovely for railfanns like me. Also the loads slab train you saw has a sister train that runs empty's to Detroit. I've seen that train! Keep up the work Rowan! love the videos.
No doubt about it Rowan you're full of the light of the Lord in the kindness and patience you show these young people. God bless you.
jtq69, thank you I'm glad you see this! Thanks for the encouragement!!
If I worked with Norfolk Southern railroad as a train engineer I would gave y'all a good horn show and a good wave
Very cool!
I really enjoy watching people who enjoy what they do and you definitely are one of them.
Thanks Mark, I appreciate it man!
Thanks for making me homesick… lol I grew up about 15min from Fostoria.
Hey Rowan I remember the first time I met you at cost Fostoria iron triangle rail park
To Answer The T.F.R.T Question, NS Is Supposed To Keep The Locomotive With It’s Train, But When Needed, They’ll Take It Off And Usually Onto A Local. And Also, When You Saw That CN DP, You Should See Whenever An Ethanol Comes Into Greensboro, NC, And Turns It’s Train Around, There Is Almost Always Foreign Power, And It’s Usually CP Or CN, Sometimes UP Too. This Video Was The Greatest Thing I’ll Watch This Morning, So I Would Like To Thank You On That Note.
See ya Rowan!
Hey Mr Rowan! Its good to see you on here my friend. You have been GREATLY missed.
Thanks Todd, stay tuned, got 3 more for you soon!
@@RailfanRowan Good golly bum!!! Im so blessed! We are so blessed! Thank you Lord!! Thank you Rowan! I can hardly wait.🙂
Hey Rowan! Hopefully everything is going good for you… ✌️❤️. Tyler G. Syracuse NY
Thanks Ty G
Rowan, thanks for pounding the pavement to bring such good content. Solid!
Thanks John!!
Well done video by one of the most personable rail fans on UA-cam. This location is like rail fan heaven!
It was an excellent location, thanks for the compliment!
ALWAYS GOOD!
Splendid video, Rowan! I enjoyed watching the trains. Your interpersonal interaction with the railfans and the gentleman from the Fostoria Iron Triangle Park was a real treat. Thank you for uploading this video to your UA-cam channel!
You're welcome Thomas, glad you enjoyed it!
Fostoria a great place to raillfan.
Thank you!
I agree 💯 Fostoria ohio is definitely a great place for railfanning and to live
What an amazing location Rowan.I hope one day to visit the USA to watch your railroads in person but in the meantime your enthusiasm brings them to life on my laptop.Thank You.
You're welcome Mike!
thanks for sharing!
Yet again, another great video Rowan, that looked like so much fun. Take care mate, and much love, cheers.
Thanks buddy!
Hey Rowan! Hopefully All is going good for you … ✌️❤️. Tyler G. Syracuse NY
Good you have fun man see out on the rails
Cool video. Refreshing to see these young guys interest in trains.
Always Interesting when you have a Union Pacific Solo Unit on the Norfolk Southern Line. 👍
That's a perfect shot
Well that was a fun watch! And the "Occupy Fostoria" crew are a LOT nicer than the "Occupy Wall Street" people were!
Thanks Rowan!
Lol, yes we are!
nice to see you railfan near my area
Nice one Rowan, another good video....................
Excellent video Rowan
You should do a railfan rally in like Terre Haute, Indiana or Chesterton, Indiana
I'm an old bird and did a lot of railfanning with my dad in the 60s & 70s. I am so delighted to see all the young railfans! but where are the girls?
Great to see you Rowan keep up the great videos
Great video again, Rowan. As a Cleveland railfan, glad you got to experience Fostoria.
Yay!!!
I was never fond of remote dispatching. I first hired on the Erie-Lackawanna as a tower man. Over the course of time the towers were eliminated and these interlockings were controlled from a great distance. I understand the cost savings but the towers served as a visual check on the trains as they rolled past and by being on site to control the territory assigned we could make immediate route changes working in conjunction with towers ahead. We also freed the train dispatcher of the extra work. From tower man to conductor, a true retread. Good stuff, Rowan and yes, we will meet someday in His presence.
Great video, Rowan! Love how you engage the other visitors. Fostoria is a great place to visit. Appreciate your interview with the President of the Fostoria Railroad Preservation Society to give some perspective. Without their hard work and commitment there wouldn't be the great facility that there is today. Shout out to Ellen Ganrtell for her consistent devotion to the Park. Fun and exciting video!!
Thank you yes, their contributions were crucial. Love the engagement that's the best part!
That was beautiful. That is about 50 mi from where I'm at in Toledo. I'm going to get out one of these days and do some rail fanning. Im still relatively new at it and have been watching many channels and many people that are doing this. You have the right filming touch doing this.
Thank you! I'm glad you appreciate my style, thank you!!
Rowan this is just pure magic. The action is so powerful and those aerial shots are spot on. Also the joy in the faces of the enthusiasts is a pleasure to watch. In the UK we have nothing like this for enthusiasts. Indeed all railways are fenced off with security fencing with extra security in key junctions and railway hubs.
Look forward to your next video.
God bless
George
Awesome video Rowan!! I really enjoyed it!! Awesome catches!!! Hope you had fun!!
Hi Rowan!
Great video Rowan!!! That place looks like a Train madhouse! I’d love to go there but I don’t know when I would be able to ever! God Bless!!!
God bless brother!
Speaking of Hagerstown the Western Maryland had a railroad YMCA. Bunked there overnight and wolfed down some pretty good chow, back in the 1970's.
Awesome location with great people.👍
Indeed!
Hi Rowan. Good to see you back. Looks like Fostoria is a great place for rail fanning.
I live only 20 minutes away but on that day I was at the horseshoe curve
Cool.
Great shots Rowan! Wish I could have made it!
Thanks, there will be a next time!!
@@RailfanRowan you bet mate!
Thank you very much for this!! Really enjoyed it a lot.
it would be awsome for to see you at the railfest next weekend hopefully you can make it
Super maxed am happy
Played in the LLWS and saw trains. The perfect combo.
Madhouse. Danny Harman raves about this place.
I hope to run into you while railfaning sometime if you’re ever in Missouri.
13:09 that’s one of the es40dcs with a sharp K5hl..
I'm going there Thursday
Fantastic Video Rowan!
That is such a GREAT location for viewing trains! especially with 3 different Co.
running through there. love the double diamonds there are so few of them still
in service. it is so sad how much graffiti is on the cars, some cars returning
to site with raw materials just got tagged “railking” with a crown over the i ‘s.
we even now have an old DOW tanker coming on site. great video, thanks
for all of your positive, and wonderful energy and dedication to rail faning!
LOL!!!! I Don’t Think You Can See 512 Trains In A Day But 512 Cars You Probably Can 😂😂😂
Busy trains
Looks like a great time!!
Awesome video awesome photography
Cool catches! 3173 is the P&LE sticker unit :)
I’m gonna go to La Plata soon Rowan
I really love your heart man and am so lucky to call you my brother in Christ :) Hope we can meet up sometime :)
when & where will the next Rally be ?
Great video Rowan sorry I couldn't make it up there. I just got back from Elkhart Indiana then a week or 2 later I find out you'll be up there. Hope fully I can join you on the next rally
Cool place Rowen. Looks like you guys had a blast. Never been there myself will have to check it out... thanks for sharing!
It's a can't-miss
New railfan here. I take my autistic grandson he likes trains. I live in illinois lots of rail here. Ns cn etc. Im an ns guy myself.
The ID for the train @ 6:35 is CSX B522
I saw that same train in Tuscaloosa alabama at the amtrak train station
Hey Rowan it is Ariel and meet my friend David who railfans here in the city of Vaughan at snider junction
🦺🚆🚇🚞
Hey there Rowan! Great video right here. If you ever have the chance one day, I recommend Austell, GA. A junction known as "The Hottest Y". It has lines to Birmingham, Chattanooga, and Atlanta, and every Class 1 railroad goes through there. Not saying you must, but you should when you can. Would love to meet you some day!
How many trains go through there a day? I am on the other side of Atlanta and hate driving through the metro area unless it is really worth it.
@@kurtdiegel7430 around 45 trains
@@kurtdiegel7430 It depends on the day. Sundays I recommend. Upwards of 10+ trains per day.
Definitely will have to check it out!
@@kurtdiegel7430 except maybe 60 trains per 24 hours total. Regular traffic on the NS north district (Chattanooga - Atlanta) gets usually 40, and the NS east end district (Atlanta to Birmingham) gets around 20, east end gets the most foreign power since Birmingham has wayyyy more interchange than Chattanooga
Looks like everyone had a good time and nice weather. I just seen your short on the 8099 and that’s hard to watch🙁. I hope they fix the ole girl back up. 8099 and 1069 are my favorites. Be safe on your journeys.
Thanks Kelly, very scary, shoulve had a slide fence!
8099 will be repaired, currently at Altoona shops and if you wanna catch it, use a drone. 1065 and 4002 I think are also there
@@RH1N0______13
That’s great news! Thanks for the info😊
Man Rowan that must of been fun
Nice turnout for this railfan rally! Fostoria is my all time favorite railfan spot!
On my top list!
Amazing Video Had a lot of fun
Thanks for coming Brett!!
6:45 it’s Dearborn MI to Middletown Ohio. Close enough but still. I catch this train so much and in fact I have a close family friend who loads the steel on those cars
Oh wow that's incredible! I'd love to connect with him and ask about a facility tour! Who should I get into contact with?
@@RailfanRowan I am not so sure. I have tried believe me but he said I could not get a tour. He is more of a long distance friend. But when my family and I talk with that family it seems we cannot stop talking.
That would be awesome if you guys were furnitured on virtual railfan cam
Born and raised in this town
Excellent!!
Come to emporia Virginia to film video trains on csx old Atlantic coast line railroad
0:32 I remember leaving my camera charger there last year lol.... that exact spot.
I left mine there!!!
@@RailfanRowan Haha, lol. second account. You in the cab on any trains in Michigan?
Fantastic Job Rowan. Let me know when your in NS Harrisburg yard I live 6 minutes from it would love to railfan with you haven’t seen you since strasburg railroad
I will!
You should have a railfan meet in Rochelle, Illinois UP and BNSF cross there and UP has a yard there and there is a good place that looks at the crossover!
Yup Global III (3) I think it is
Agree
Near where I currently live, A length of track on a CN line was redesigned by a team from the Hot Wheels division of Mattell.
From my bedroom window, I can see the top third of the Loop-de-Loop.
Awesome job! At 7:00 We got some of them Steel slab cars on the B&P BTNC
That's cool, ours are aluminum!
@@RailfanRowan nice hope you feel better after the potential strike that’s going to happen
Thoroughly Enjoyed the Big Group of Railfans you met in Fostoria, OH. A Lot of CSX Trains in your video. Where were the Norfolk Southern trains ? 🤔👍
Fostoria only has around 15 NS trains a day, most being in the morning or at night, making the afternoons and evenings dull
Hey railfan rowan you all should have a railfan meet up in alabama like Irondale AL wicth I railfan everytime we are around brimingham alabama
Hey rowen I’m Ariel
It has been a few years ago, but I had met up with Florid's celebrated Raifanner, Milleniumforce, and Southern-Central Ohio's 'Jawtooth' at Fostoria's Railpark during one of Milleniumforce's annual cross-country tours.
Would love to do a cross country tour!
Hey Rowan come to Toledo Ohio Amtrak station
There's a amtrak train station in toledo Ohio
That’s crazy not one train came on the C&O the whole time
Canadian national railroad and Canadian Pacific railroad is very common in Alabama
Elkhart and Chesterton IN is a little more busier that horseshoe curve it will not disappoint you rowan there are trains from chicago NS intermodel calumet and landers yard there is traffic from NJ PA OH and Elkhart yard
I'll keep it
in mind!
That’s a good place to go see some trains I’ve been there and you should let me know when you wanna meet
I’m csx railman 96( on a different account
One day you should try out Bessemer City NC don’t get much action but you got NS 24X [Ex 212] NS 28R [Ex 204] NS 25A [Ex 211] NS 27A [Ex 203] with 2 Amtrak trains and some reroutes
5:23 CSX Columbus Subdivision.
Toledo Subdivision runs through Deshler, oh about i think 30 miles to the West
I love that guys Norfolk southern 911 t-shirt where he buy it
Hello Rowan, another great, fun, inspirational video. Looked like a fantastic day! One question, what does DCI stand for?
DCI is Drum Corps International, travelling marching bands
@@RailfanRowan Thank you Rowan.
Amtrak and csx
Great video but the North/South CSX line isn't the Toledo sub., that's about 30 to 40 miles West of here that goes through Deshler headed to Cincinnati!
Ahhh oh well, only as good as the foamers that help me
@@RailfanRowan They probably just made a mistake because there's 3 CSX subs that come south out of Toledo, the Columbus sub which is the one that comes through here, Fostoria and goes to Columbus and the Toledo branch sub, 25 miles West of here, which goes through North Baltimore and Findlay which also goes to Columbus and then the Toledo sub about 40 miles West of Fostoria which goes through Deshler, Troy and Dayton and goes to Cincinnati.
50 or 70 trains a day on the Willard-garrett
That's what I hear! Lots of live action!
