What an awesome look back on the decade, Rowan. Let's hope that 2020 through 2029 treats us railfans a whole lot better and hope that this stupid PSR black cloud goes away to bring back all the trains, brother.
They look so much better cleaned, heritage or no, the difference is unreal
Funny, this came up in my suggestions a year later. I can't believe I didn't discover this channel until 2020! Lots of good scenes in here, might have to make my own 10 year video. Oh and I am jealous of your voice dude, I wish my commentary came out half as good. Can't wait to see what you bring us in the new decade.
Yeah same, I only knew about this channel about a month ago. And I also got this in my recommendation one year later.

Yo what is up central Penn rail productions
Thanks so much man, I hope you see my reply, your message snuck by me! Thanks for checking out the channel and thanks also about the voice! :)
Many thanks to your parents and grandparents for all their help in raising a true rail fan! I know many of us appreciate their hard work!
Your mom has to be the sweetest person ever
She is definitely!
Just watched this again. Forgot how great it was, with family history. Well done Railfan Rowan!
Thanks as always good friend!
Thanks for sharing your decade of railfanning. Glad to hear of your parents support, I knew of Grandfathers support from earlier. Stay safe & Godbless.😎👌👍
Thank you Vernon and yes before I could drive grandad was my chauffeur!! Lol he's a good man, I haven't been railfanning with him in a long time!
Bro took "best catches of the year" to a whole new level
I can hear it in your voice , and see it in your work . We're going to see a LOT more of your work in the future . Excellent audio and video . Don't worry about train meets , you 'll see plenty in what I hope to see a very long future for you and trains . You'll soon see that weather nor distance will make much if any difference . Well done . I will be watching for more from you .👍👍
An addition to your commentary! Those PRR units on the old N&W,isn't what most people expect and there a story there! The Pennsylvania owned the N&W for a period, and even rostered some ex-PRR, K-class 4-6-2's,so there are now several ties that bind! The real irony is that the N&W, runs the old PRR Pittsburgh division, and lines West,! How the mighty have fallen! By the way,you sound like me,when I was 15,and just getting my feet wet,as a rail fan,and now 60 years later,I've never stopped being that self same teenager. Man,I hope you never grow up,because you'll always be a student and always learning! One new thing a day,and think of a week,or a month. Knowing is a powerful force for good. 🚂🚄🚊🚍🚇🚆🚋
Now this just.... gives me a bunch of Memory's of your channel when i first subscribed in 2017 on my phone
Wow congrats man! That’s awesome 😎 can’t wait to do this after 10 years!
Amazing catches! The whole video makes my heart race with joy!!
I did particularly enjoy making this one, thanks so much Michael!
Would a foundation PLEASE stake Rowan so he can teach the adults how to professionally narrate films and videos; to speak coherently as reporters on TV; to likewise state positions and opinions as politicians, etc? His talent is being unassuming. I wish it were contagious.
Just goes to show we all loved them old cobues. Thanks for the video. It took you a lot of time to do this an l thank you for this. Stay Safe
Thanks Bill, yes it did and I'm glad you appreciate it!
What an amazing journey and compilation of your videos. We love these and wish, like you do, that we could be riding along with the engineer in every train we watch. But we would be waving at railfans a lot more I imagine. Keep up the great work.
rowan what a nice compitulation of locos my dad since retired was an engineer on the Lackawanna Phoebe Snow E8 which will always be my favorite engines
Wonderful catches Rowan!!
Thank you. Outstanding video.
Can’t wait !
Awesome shots Rowan! I remember seeing several C40-8Ws come through where I railfan and live a lot back in 2018.
Yeah, I truly miss those units!
@@RailfanRowan They made some historic catches for us Norfolk Southern Railfans.
nice video , congrats on the rare catches last decade !!!
Excellent montage. I loved all the clips of the 611. It is one of my favorite steam engines. I am rather displeased with NS for discontinuing their steam program. Great video, though. Thanks for sharing!
I'm equally displeased! Thanks for the compliment!
@@RailfanRowan as far as I know, she is sitting in the roundhouse at the NC Transportation Museum at Spencer, NC. I need to get down there one day.
Nice catches! Thanks for sharing!
I was excited to see this video in my feed. Rowan i hope all is well with you. I miss your posts. It's just not the same without you buddy! 🙂
Spectacular footage and commentary 👌🇺🇸

@@jacobdubielak your not the one who said it bro
hello from Australia... very good video... I liked the trains and your clear presentation
4:45 love that p5 horn on those sd70’s
I seen the norfolk southern brick train in irondale Alabama while railfanning it was so awesome
It was on December 14th a few minutes before Norfolk southern 4000 I didn't have a railfan scanner
Great shots. Going to Altoona this week to get some railfanning in. Also Ohio
Thank you, that is a great video. I'm from the UK and find it fascinating to watch these long trains and it was good to see some vintage locos.
I was wondering, with the trains that have two or more leads, a middle and end diesel unit, do they each need drivers?
No, all can be controlled from one single cab
Yeah I like all those trains in this video.
💯👍 dude
Awsome video! Have you ever caught the Virginian Heritage Unit?
At 4:41 to 5:30
NS 36Q Power:
NS SD70 #2511 (One of my Fav Engines)
UP ES44AC #5362
NS D9-44CW #9583
MY FAVORITE CATCH OF YOURS!
awesome shots
Thanks girl! 👍🏻
@@RailfanRowan your welcome
Addendum; that Ringling Brothers train was the Blue unit, there was also a Red unit,(see the logo,on the cars). They alternated every year one went East, and the other West! And a piece of railfan trivia- Emmet Kelly, the famous clown,in the off season, worked as a C&O brakeman, and, did circus train modeling!
.
You should do a video of 5 your favorite heritage units
I saw NS 4000 And the 1067 Reading lines a few weeks ago. The bee line looks much more dirty now. Thats for sure.
Yo my brother nice footage I need to be like you👌👌
Entertaining and Informative.
Splendid Captures through Curve 👌👍
Well Enjoyed Steam and Diesel's a lot 😍.
I want to come there and experience the STEAM ride.
Can you please guide me to there ?
I'm amazed at your expert description of the video definitely you need a job for a news tv station apply !
Thank you so much, unfortunately the news station wants to control what you say though so UA-cam will continue to be my platform LOL
I saw the NS First responders train a month ago in one of my videos
Hey Rowan, I am a huge fan and a fellow railfan. I was wondering, how do you know the locations of these trains or know how to track them? Thanks!
I remember i got to see a up big boy last year
Could care less about trains, but you really showed some beauties. Ones I see are just dirty and covered in graffiti. Its great that your folks helped out
Thanks Jim Jab
I’ve seen many train meets and I’m eleven! I’ve seen that caboose before the dod also mr Rowan have you ever been pulled over while chasing these trains
10:19 I saw this train this year. What was odd was that I wasn't expecting it and it was not running on NS track it was running on CP track
I have been known you for a long time
0:08 Whenever You Think Anything Other Than NS Is CSX... LOL
Where that SF 660 (Santa fe) I’ve been there and caught two odd things being the only two trains I’ve caught there one being a GP60 and the Pennsylvania heritage. Pennsylvania being on 214 (discontinued) and GP60 being on 13R
Old rowan new rowan there both great
Wow
Nick pattie seems like a great guy to talk with
I would love to see you in person someday
i saw the "interstate" heritage unit while in the wendys drive thru. it was acting as the end train dpu on a BNSF hopper train. Or as i call them. salami trains
I miss those NS dash 9 standard cabs :(
Same!
@@RailfanRowanme three
👍👍❤️
Hav you ever seen the Kansas City southern
Safety starts here heritage unit because I saw it on Saturday
These are boring. What am i kidding Great catches! I wish NS Ran where i lived.
I seen norfolk southern heritage unit and norfolk southern 4000 one on the way home from Birmingham Alabama and the other one in irondale Alabama
I saw 2 dpu in the middle in deshler
i remember that train that was my brother and I @9:55 i still have it on my camera
I have seen the same train in irondale Alabama
I love your voice and your name
You are welcome railfan Rowan bubby
Is 611 coal or oil fired and is War Bonnet a nickname for a class of diesel
Coal fried and yes war bonnet is a nickname for a engine
Great that your mom supported your railfanning, as my mother did, and still does. I'm 52, and she is 73, and she flew in early for Thanksgiving to go along and chase UP 4014. My father always said he didn't understand the attraction my mom and I had for trains. LOL
That was a fun decade. And congrats on seeing all 20 heritage units
I hope to see u track side again
Cp 6590 is a Fp9A
I love those Santa Fe units. Their paint schemes are beautiful!
That 6920 shot in front of the flag is amazing. Great shot of the OCS with 8099, I missed that one. Loved the 611 chase. Amazing decade for you sir!
Awesome catches Rowan I really miss the dash 8’s and the Dash 9’s standard cabs and the SD70 standard cabs’s too
Railfan Cannon me too buddy me too
I miss you then a lot too
2511's old cast P5 is amazing
Jack Carson's Railroad Videos has it been rebuilt to a SD70ACC yet and if it did, did it keep the P5?
It’s chilling too.
"I have only one train meet..." ROWAN, you are still young --- plenty of time to catch meets in other parts of the country! Great video! Small snippets instead of long trains make for a very interesting piece. I'm holding out for a droped signal. Happy New Year and God bless.
As Expected, another Quality video from Railfan Rowan! Happy New Year! Thanks! 👍
These were some great catches
🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃
I love your videos Railfan Rowan happy new year
Oh the Memories
Hey this is awesome that 2561 solo leading sd70 i saw that in 2018 leading solo on a intermodal train!!
Congratulations Rowan, i most say you did collect,a decade of fine railroading memories. The little red caboose in the heavy snow that one will grab you. Well done young man, and stay happy and safe out there.
Great video Rowan!
I really enjoyed the narration of the video, kinda reminded me of the older type railfanning films!
Very nice! Thanks for sharing!
