You took a pretty basic Revell model & turned it into something quite impressive. I think that’s the best P-51 wheel well I’ve ever seen, & your stressed panel look is right on the money. Well done!
I really appreciate the effort you made to label the colors used and the *exact* sequence and locations used. Super useful, which more youtube modelers made that effort

I think, like previous posts on here, that the "uneveness" makes your build look even more impressive, as a mere mortal I can only aspire 😊 thanks for sharing.
Wow! Perfect. I wish my hands still worked correctly to replicate your gear well plumbing. But your info on the rest of the model will help up my game, thanks.
jen bych u těch barev doplnil i textem o jaké barvy jde - odstíny, třeba na malém notebooku to musím pauzovat a někdy i dost luštit :) ale velkej progres :)
Beautiful build! Also brilliant idea with the melted cotton bud stick to get tubing. Of course melted sprue is obvious but hadn't thought of that way to get tubing, thanks!
Great skills! Your panel stress warping and painting has taught me alot, and I've been building models since '68...amazing work and attention to detail !!
I have seen countless Mustang builds. But is with out doubt the best one yet. It looks so lifelike and realistic. I particularly loved the different metal colours you used to give an incredibly vivid finish. I must find a way to learn your supreme skills.
Question. You mentioned using a lot of different metalizers. Did you protect the surface after applying one with a clear coat, before masking, and other paints application?
OH now that is just cheating using a QTIP tube to make miniature plastic TUBES! I knew to do this with solid plastic kit sprues for cheap rods... but this TUBE idea is a new trick for this 50 year old dog.... lol Great job and and thank you
@@DetailsScaleModels There are NO Plastic Tube Qtips available in Germany any more.. all Paper tube... have to watch out where to get an alternative..... :(
Great build with many interesting tips; but with enoying music (muting is the solution 😁). This build shows that you don't have to buy the very expensive Tamiya kit to create a possible show winner! 👍
Unfreaking believable you Sir are a master at your craft I only wish I could do that I am a beginner at modeling and hope some day I can do something like that
Really loved your improvements on landing gears and structural effects on surface. It's a pity manufacturers don't make rivets anymore, especially at this scale. Would you consider the Ki-61 with engine under maintenance ?
What is your preferred adhesive for the plastic parts? I've had mixed results with some of the CA and plastic solvent, usually causing a level of frustration at how slow they bond.
Thank you all for your feedback. I most often use MR.Cement S glues from GSI and Tamiya Extra Thin. I glue the small parts with instant glue. But I try to glue the main assemblies with Revell Contacta and let them dry for a long time (1-3 days).
Suggestion When I use metallic paints . Even though it looks dry , I use White Cotton Gloves to prevent oil from my skin to get on the paint and interfere with the next step . I use to build kits for people who didn't have the time or talent and for several displays for military museums . But in all of my years of model building experience this is the first time I've ever seen decals with a removable top cover .
Your underside Photos look like normal hydraulic leaks acquired during combat maneuvers . I once did a series of Ravel 1/48 scale SR 71's for a friend of mine who actually worked on them before they were decommissioned . The thing is that I gave them a lite wash before I packed them up to take them to him . He actually let me use the same paint booth used for the parts of the real SR 71's and other US Aircraft . Well I forgotten to double check the models before I started to spray the last coat of flat clear and trapping some calcium deposits on the underside of the models . Afterwards I placed them back in the box and left for his team office . When I started to unpack the models one of his team was shocked to see the calcium deposit groupings on the underside of the model . How the hell did you do that ? ? ? I spent the better part of a week scraping the underside of that craft and this looks exactly like what I was working on . How the hell did you do that ? ? ? He never did believe that it was an accident . Next they ( the entire team including the buildings CO ) took me over to see an SR-71 that was having the same repair job done same as the previously mentioned and although it wasn't calcium deposits from water but Fuel and hydraulic leaks and compared to pattern on the model to what was on the other side and yes they were pretty much identical . So long story short ( ha ! ha ! ) . Sometimes a little bit of over do will give you a surprise result when compared to actual combat photographs .
Mate I am in amazement at your wonderful Skills I have been making glue bombs for 48 yrs and wow cheers from my Channel To Yours, Jason, AUSSIE SCALE MODELLER" And I Had to Subscribe wow and thank you again
Your video is great! Thanks for the enlightening tutorial. I thought your background music sounded like a bad porn loop . Maybe something else next time, maybe nothing.
Loved the video, the only issue was the 70s porn soundtrack, the wife didn't believe I was watching a build video and accused me of watching vintage porn 🤣
Arrrgggghhh. You went to all of that trouble to fantastically detail the wheel bay, natural skin surface, different panel shades, etc and then didn't fill in the panel seams on the wings. NO P-51 had visable seams on the wings except for the gun bay, access panels, and cover over the landing gear mechanisms. They were all filled, sanded, primed, and then painted (wings that is). There are NO different panel shades on the wings. The paint was an aluminum laquer. Fuselage is correct.
Wait how did you use that mr. Hobby glue the blue cap, without screwing up your clear Parts you canopy? Because I've used that same exact adhesive glue on my 1/35 clear parts and it has gave him a cracking look crazing look and I barely touched it to make sure it was glued in place. How did you do that? Cuz I know I've used tamiya extra-thin in the head really screwed up my clear parts but I seen you in many other UA-camrs music seem mr. Hobby blue cap glue on clear parts with no issues
Thank you all for your feedback. Mr.Cement S and Tamiya Extra Thin glues have different characteristics. I use both, but only Mr.Cement S for canopy. The parts must fit perfectly. Do not press on the parts. Lightly pour a small amount of glue into the joints.
I really like your idea of using heated cotton swabs to make thin tubing. Very clever, thanks!!
You took a pretty basic Revell model & turned it into something quite impressive. I think that’s the best P-51 wheel well I’ve ever seen, & your stressed panel look is right on the money. Well done!

Amazing attention to detail - requiring considerable skill and infinite patience. Superb.
Best 32nd scale Revell Mustang so far. Great job! 👏👍
What a great build. True work of art!
Awesome build my friend keep up the good work
i have 25 of this same kit done in the 357th fg and not 1 has come up as stunning as this .unbelievable detail and steady hands . you the man

Excellent skills and detail representation. I love this kit and watching you build it I had to remind myself it's a Revell.
Loved the video
First time I saw the scalpel trick... Beautiful...😎
Great job. I agree, your attention to detail is incredible and loved the tip on how to create the variations in the fuselage
Amazing work. Enjoyed the whole video. Thanks.
master craftsmanship and top notch result!

Stunning job! Your attention to detail really paid off with this kit.

“Panty Waste”? Classy… Great job though Josef. That wheel bay detail and the metallic paint… you’re a master of that.
Excellent work I really like the surface texture you added to the aircraft skin
That is ART absolutely fantastic
Super Super cool what a finish
Over the top, outstanding modeling skill!
Incredible work, Incredible realism!
That is one impressive build and a sweet looking plane.
You have got mad skills mate well done

You turned it into a beauty.

Yet again another top looking build. I think your just showing off now. Keep up the great work your making my skills look poor

they're called struts, not shafts. To be precise, landing gear struts, or landing gear. BUT: you are a fantastic modeler...fantastic!!
A very great job. 🤩🤩🤩
..ШИИИИИКАРНОЕ ВИДЕО!..
Really loved your improvements on landing gears and structural effects on surface.

Would you consider the Ki-61 with engine under maintenance ?
Thanks for the feedback. Ki-61 would be interesting, I'll think about it ... But in the next plan I have Hs 129, P-47 and A6M5 in 1/32 scale.

Thank you all for your feedback. It's an ear brush. Instructions and modification are in the video.
Superb
Wow!
What size of wire did you use for detailing the landing gear bay?
Thank you all for your feedback. Different diameters. I think 0.3 to 0.6 mm.

Lovely build but who calls their state of the art Mustang 'Panty waste'? That's just asking for something shit to happen. 😅
Nice video but the music is so annoying.
Too bad Revel (crappy kits) doesn’t take the time Tamiya does in engineering!!
Thanks for the feedback. The price of the model is also an important factor. Tamiya is several times more expensive.
