love your channel. i would LOVE to hear touring and industry stories. Eg, how i got the lauryn hill gig, or, the worst gig i ever played Id also love to hear podcast style stuff, maybe between u and other musos trading stories. Might be a side channel idea instead. Would just love to hear more when driving
You are already my go to music UA-camr, I personally would like to see you work so if you could make a video and show us how you make your patches that would be cool. I have a similar set up and I’m actually about to pick up the montage m7 myself
Watching your videos is not only informative. They are entertaining and inspiring. Sam, you have a natural ability, a great voice, and a communication style that draws the audience in. Your drive and determination to explore, gather knowledge, and share that knowledge is a pure gift. I always look forward to what's next.
Just inject as much of yourself into your videos as you can. Be authentic and once I feel I’ve gotten to know you a bit I’m way more likely to click on any video, regardless of what the topic is. You’ve got your own unique perspective with what you do, who you play with, what you play, etc. I might have come for the gear videos (you sold me on a Rise 2 and I love it) but I’m going to stick around for you, the individual.
Really enjoyed listening to your thoughts behind your channel and career Sam! It's clear you continue to be creative and inventive, while still having a big heart. I still remember you saying you saw music in colors when you were in 5th grade, which was obviously a sign then and now that music has always been your passion. Bravo!
Algorithm brought me here. You have a lot to offer to UA-cam and your concerns are on point!! Very excited for your content. Keep pumping the videos out with your heart. You can definitely become one of the biggest and most popular musician UA-camrs.
Never came across any of your videos before, and not sure exactly how this showed up in my feed. But I loved your pitch and I will be going back through your past videos. And I'm subscribed with notifications now and looking forward to following your channel journey ❤️
I have seen none of your videos but this one but I will tell you as someone who is starting a journey next year to start UA-cam and voice acting and all the musical things i do in my free time. I have already fallen in love with your channel and think that you are totally on the right track to do what you love and the idea of keeping everything separate and having a good mix of content sounds like a wonderful idea. I can’t wait to see what you do next I’ll will be watching much love. Ps have you done any podcast I feel like you’d be great at that.
Thank you! And happy new year! In the vast sea of internet, this is one of my favorite channels. You are great at communicating what you're passionate about, regardless of the topic.
Thanks Sam. I guess I'm in the minority here as I actually haven't watched any of your gear vids. Not that I don't want to or wouldn't, just late to the game I guess. If you haven't already, check out Samurai Guitarist and Adam Neely. They cover a range of musical subjects and I find them interesting. Mary Spender is great at presenting things like "behind the scenes" of the music business and fun, little personal challenges. I'm not saying that you should do more of what they do but might find inspiration and ideas. Maybe you can do vids together with others UA-camrs. I feel that no matter what you do you'll do it your way and that may be more important than anything else.Your personality and perspective come through as well as your sincerity and I've enjoyed everything I watched here. Best of luck in 2024 and I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
Amazing channel! Great music, reviews, amazing editing, you are the adam neely of keys (sorry for the comparison, you are your own musician with your own of course). Glad i discovered you! ❤ Keep going! Do you have patreon?
Thanks so much @hallerj! I certainly don't mind the comparison as I very much look up to Adam Neely. I actually do have a pattern! I haven't ever promoted it but I probably will soon start getting more serious about that and also UA-cam channel memberships. Here's my pattern though! tinyurl.com/w2sabya2
I’d like you to be the Daily Mail of synth youtubers. . . DRAMA. . . One weird thing videos.. . . . staged fights with frenemies, try-on videos, stories about Harry and Megan, top 5 hacks for living in hotels, reprinting reddit posts, inflating ordinary events into lurid scandals, criticizing unpopular things and praising popular people, and ignoring real news in favor of press releases by powerful interests, and lifestyle reports about the way we think you really live - awesome!
Just be you. Be as genuine as possible. That’s the new trend in UA-cam. I like your gig vlogs.I might be a weirdo but if you do a bunch of gear videos I won’t watch many of your videos. The whole gear tube thing is kinda old news in my opinion. If you get yourself into too much of a niche it won’t last.
I usually watch UA-cam channels where I can learn something new. Music is my hobby, I'm a software engineer. So if your channel only had gear reviews I would probably not watch it. Your touring / travel content was interesting to watch. Also I didn't know how musicians make moneys and how much they make, so that video was also interesting. I would watch videos about AI or block chain or non-music topics if it is interesting to me. Diverse content could bring more viewers.
Definitely push for a Windex sponsorship. But aside from that, why not make shows with segments? Gear junkies will enjoy watching you show off a new item, and won’t mind if it’s interspersed with performance, business advice, theory, and whatever. Something for everyone.
So one thing I didn't see you talk about is posting your actual music. Obviously that doesn't work well for many people, but if you're that passionate about music, surely you can work it in and be creative with it?

Congrats man! Can we get a bit of the festival planning? I think that could be a neat way to cross promote things ;)

Keep doing you man! I enjoy all the videos, especially the ones that feel like we are hanging out!

As long as you keep uploading more content about making content (meta!!!!!)
:D
Yo bruh let's connect somehow btw! Since we both make content related to making music
Paul's first influencer and intro to classic Rock came from you Sam! Good Luck.
Love your perspectives broski!
KEEP ROCKING ..!!
Yeah, the Montage M was how I found this channel. But anything that shows how to use the gear in a band setting is super interesting.

Love your videos on how to use the keyboards much easier than going through manuals. My opinion I feel it brings you up to speed faster.
right on bro
