  • eGFR is a great way to detect compromise and trends in renal function. Ideally this knowledge will allow us to make interventions that will prevent the development of most cases of chronic kidney disease. Prevention is always better than cure.

Most interesting. I recently lost my mum, to CKD (..amongst other things). Her Nephrologist was so informative, unfortunately the more general physicians we encountered along the way were less economical with information in relation to her multiple comorbidities. Her eGFR was lower than 9 in her last month with us. Oedema was substantial, particularly in her arms. CKD definitely was at the core of her demise. A nicer human never walked this earth, but then we all think that about our mums. Thanks for the transfer of information. :-) dumbed down beautifully for us muggles to digest. Most enjoyable, wish I'd found it sooner.

Many thanks, been searching for "can vitamin supplements cause kidney problems?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Aiyibestoen Phenomenal Asset - (do a google search ) ? It is a good one of a kind guide for discovering how to improve your kidney function without the headache. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my colleague got amazing success with it.

Thank you for this. I've been trying to figure out the difference. My GFR and egfr have both dropped. Not substantially. GFR 96 an Egfr 83. Thank you for this video I've been trying to make sense of the difference.

This Lord #Dhanvantari (#Ayurveda) New Moon in #Vishaka #Nakshatra is happening in Via Combusta in Sidereal Vedic Astrology at 26° of Libra.
It's interesting to note that Antares is 15° Scorpio ♏ in Sidereal Vedic Astrology, the last degree of Via Combusta.
I wonder if there's something special in the opposing degrees of Via Combusta: 15° Aries to 15° Taurus ♉, the same degree where the fixed star Aldebaran is located in Sidereal Vedic Astrology.
#Karma: May all of our fellow dearly beloved beings ever in #evolution be safe and well.

Some months had reading 59, told i had chronic kidney disease, had me worried. 2 weeks ago another test reading 65. I assume age has some bearing being over 60.

The eGFR graph with the big fat curve shows that 125 umol/L of serum creatinine can translate into eGFR between 40 (i.e. bad) and 120 (i.e. good) ml/min/1.73m2. How could it be a good indicator of eGFR if it can produce such a vague estimation? This maker seems to be rather insensitive as it would only give a "clear" signal when most of the kidney damage has already been done.
