I've been trying to track down this song for decades - I was starting to think I'd imagined it, it's been driving me nuts! So I was right, it was the Vets - and now I even remember the title: I knew it all along and and even remember writing it down when Peel played it, but I just couldn't recall it! How this isn't one of synthpop's most renowned gems is beyond me. It really is an overlooked masterpiece.
