Stubby Blaster 2.0 - The Upgrade It Needed!

Now that I’ve got my prototype working, I decided to focus more on aesthetics. I lengthened the barrel a bit and added a ton of accents to improve the look. The only real functional change was switching to screws-I found them to be a more reliable fastener than the clamshell design, which tended to come apart slightly when hit by the plunger. It was an easy fix with glue, but still.
I also really like the added look of the 3D-printed screws. For colors, I went with a blue-and-orange scheme, inspired by the Nerf aesthetic. Looking back, I think a bit of gray would have helped balance it out, but overall, I’m pretty happy with Stubby Blaster 2.0!

Super cool! Definitely an upgrade like the difference of buying in all black playing gun versus one with all the bells and whistles. Definitely see your Nerf gun vibe that you're talking about. Very cool!

Thanks :) I'm really enjoying playing around with this project and just wanted to share a quick update. It's starting to get some decent heft to it, and feels like a real toy!
