I watched Avatar live in Gothenburg a couple of years ago.
I was sitting at the bar with my friend listening to the first opening act, when all of a sudden Johannes walks up (without make-up) and orders a beer.
I just knew that I recognised the voice when I heard him order, so I turned around and saw that it was him.
I told him that I was longing for them to play and he was a bit confused that I recognised him without make-up.
He said he was honored because I was so calm and humble, not being an over-the-top fanboy.
He even offered to buy me a refill just because I had a normal conversation with him, not placing him on a pedestal. What a great person that man is.

I saw every minute of all 4 January shows. They were amazing.
I did meet Jonas Jarlsby ("The King") after a show here in Baltimore at a bar across the street. I had my Avatar shirt on and I was waiting for my Girlfriend to come back from the bathroom and he came walking out the bar onto the deck where I was. I was like "Jonas?". He says "Yes! How did you like the show?" Very soft spoken. I got a selfie with him. Then my Girlfriend came back and I said "You are not going to believe what just happened!". Saw him again few minutes later and I asked if my Girlfriend could get a picture with him and he of course said yes. They are awesome! I have seen them 7 times live so far and hopefully will again in July at Rockfest.
Avatar is amazing. How lucky were you just to run into a member. Great guys. I know we’re really hoping that Covid is safely under control and that Granny Haze and I will be at their concert in Michigan this summer. That would be soooooo awesome. Keep on rocking babies. ✌🏻🎶🤘🏻🖤
I watched every single ages show and it was so worth it! They put on a really great show each time, had about 3 or 4 different stages that they would change around inbetween songs, while it was all shot live (i think?) They are really underated! Great reaction as usual :)
They also went through their "eras" which basically was first show was their most recent album and some fan favourites, 2nd show was albums "Avatar country" and "Feathers and flesh" which featured them changed costumes mid show for the relevant album 3rd show was "hail the apocyplse" and "black waltz" which i think had a minor change in costume, their last show was before they started any costumes and was their first 3 albums, so no makeup and no costumes!
Also, i met avatar when I seen them in Glasgow scotland, talked to tim about glasgow and he asked where to get dinner! Said hi to the rest of the guys when they came out but tim was super nice!

All of the ages shows were so good. But the best by far had to be memories. Johannes' performance in particular that night was flawless

Absolutely! Bummer they chose to upload Pigfucker, it's a good song, good performance, but it's too short, wish we could have enjoyed Lullaby for longer!

Lovely guys and have had a few drinks with them and they gave me a great birthday message, that I have framed. Hope you get to meet them. John the drummer is fun!
They seem to be great guys. Granny Haze and I are planning to go to one of their concerts in July this year if all goes well (Covid-19 being a factor) and meeting them would be such a great thrill. Who knows? Maybe we’ll get lucky. Keep on rocking babies. ✌🏻🎶🤘🏻🖤
Greetings, Grannies! You know I was 'there' (thanks to a very dear friend of mine).. And, having recently found the love of my life (in Oct), he bought tickets & was 'there' too, even though we are in different countries! I was blown away at how good every concert was, esp. as nervous as they must've been, and not having an audiences' energy to feed off of. You ladies should 'suggest', like all us fans, that they release a dvd of the concerts.. we all need that in our lives! You'd love the performance of Napalm, too. ~ Love you!

One time I went to see them and Johannes signed my forearm because I wanted to get it tattooed. He then looks at his signature and says to me “you probably don’t want to get that one tattooed, cause the j kinda looks like a dick. But we will try again next time”

I watched all four concerts and the production was amazing. If people haven't mentioned it yet, there's an accompanying children's book written by Johannes that expands the story being told on Feathers and Flesh.

Great reaction! I watched all four shows and was over the moon ecstatic when they did "In Napalm" (they posted the video from the performance on here and I highly recommend watching and reacting to it) during the third show as it's my favorite song of theirs.
I do hope you do get to meet the guys. I've met Jonas twice and he is one of the sweetest, kindest, soft spoken gentleman I had the pleasure to meet and talk with a little bit. Tim, Henrik and Johannes are very nice as well and I've heard the same goes for John but I haven't met him yet though that'll change at some point in the future.
Meeting Avatar, especially Johannes, would’ve a real thrill. Granny Haze and I will be seeing them, Covid willing, in July here in Michigan. Just can’t wait. Keep on rocking babies. ✌🏻🎶🤘🏻🖤
I was so fortunate to have seen all four Ages shows. They were spectacular! I've seen them live a few years ago, although at the time, I didn't know much about them.....my brother knew I would love it though, and it was his birthday when they played here, so I went with him and they were fantastic! However, I didn't really get into them until I watched the Ages shows with my brother, and then I became a die hard fan! Now I can't get enough of Avatar.
They’re absolutely amazing to us. Johannes is so in control of everything while he’s on stage. Granny Haze and I plan on going to see them in July at an open air festival in Grand Rapids, Mi. Can’t wait. Keep on rocking babies. ✌🏻🎶🤘🏻🖤

Got to watching some of y'alls videos and you've officially earned a subscriber! Such lovely personalities and thoughtful insight to the music & performances! Avatar is honestly one of my favorite bands of all time and I'm glad to see you both loving them as well! All wonderfully talented musicians and artists that know how to make unique music and put on a show in the metal world for sure. Hope that y'all get the chance to see and maybe meet them this summer! This was awesome. I loved it. And I think it's super that y'all will get to go see them in July. I have never been to a rock concert. Just one with the Osmond Brothers when I was younger and then a lot of country singers.

We saw all 4 January shows. It was fabulous. However, nothing beets in person. Johannes was able play the piano and trombone. Costumes were to band periods. Even without makeup at one point. It was fabulous!🤘✌🏼❤️✌🏻✌🏻🤘

I never thought that much of the band, mainly because of the name (not a fan of the movie) but this song(s) rock! I get a power metal vibe from it.

If you want to see something truly awesome check our UA-cam personality Jared Dines with Johannes and Howard Jones (light the torch) proforming another bands songs (Trivium) the full set is 1.5 hours long. It truly shows the metal community coming together. I'm sure the story is in the video but the short of it is trivium with Jared dines are headlining a tour with light the torch and avatar when the lead singer of trivium wife goes into labor and he has to leave. The rest step up to finish the shows
