    Mother you are right, LARD (pig mess)! We use vegan soap right now! However, Yah must have heard my call, I have been researching how to make soap for a few weeks now! I was looking for another Israelite to show how and here you are! All praises to Yah :-) Bless you for this Mother, Thawadah, Shalom :-)

      Thawadah! My prayer is to share the things I have learned with all the young ones that need and want to know how to do it. It is time for us to learn how to do it ourselves instead of depending on others.

      Yes, I am still deconditioning my mindset to run to the heathen to learn how to's. May we learn from you and other Israelites and pass it down to those coming behind us :-) Halleluyah, Shalom :-)

    I love the way you explain. I've done melt and pour soaps. But still hesitating to do cold process because of lye. But will soon gear up to do that.
    One question : can we reuse the immersion blender for other purposes or it should also be exclusive for soap making ?

    Thank You so much! I appreciate the advice and tips!! I have been nervous about doing this and I have been wanting to make soap over a year now. Whats that book you have it looks like a good one? I wish I could do a head wrap like that.

    • @AhubahsLifestyle
      @AhubahsLifestyle  9 років тому

      Shalom Aviyah, the book I have is The Complete Soap Maker. If the thought of making soap the old fashion way makes you nervous, start by using what is called "Melt and Pour" to get yourself started. Also, the head wrap is easy, if you haven't seen it already, I did a video on how I do them. Here is the link to the video. ua-cam.com/video/0-_IjqHw_vM/v-deo.html

      +LaCrystal Brown Shalum and sorry for the late reply. I have been in the process of relocating and haven't had much time to vlog. But now that I am settled I can start again. Each bar is between 5.5 to 6 ounces and are a pretty good size bar. Tudah for watching.

    Oh, my research on the use of lye is it is very toxic. it's what is used in hair relaxers.

    • @AhubahsLifestyle
      @AhubahsLifestyle  9 років тому +2

      Shalom Judith, Yes, lye is toxic, but you cannot make soap without using lye. But the good thing is the lye evaporates out, either by cooking it out for two hours or letting it do so by letting the soap cure anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. I like to cook my soap so I can use it right away. I still like to cure it for a week or so, so it can harden a little bit more.
