    This is what I'm talking about...other videos spend 10mins talking and than 10sec of actual demonstration. My brother here, talks and demos at the same time and- he doesn't feel the need to keep taking his top off either.
    Very good video, cheers buddy

    This was great to see, thank you. I'm a 32 year old, 5 year long vegan from Seattle who recently got interested in bodyweight fitness and healthier eating, and I've loved all of your videos so far. I've got a free standing pull up bar and some rings crammed into a tiny second bedroom currently, but I'm making it work. You've been a huge inspiration, so thank you. I would love to see more videos of recipes and meal plans you recommend, as all the pictures of your food look fantastic. Thanks again!

      +Mike Larios Thanks so much for the kind words and support. I am happy to inspire! We are about the same age in both human and vegan years. Sounds like a sweet setup, anything that gets you moving is good. Chin-up bars indoors are awesome. Yes, I want to do more recipe videos but our kitchen is kind of dark. The one I filmed a few videos in belongs to the people upstairs, I just sneak up there when no one is home. Lol. Cooking up there would be pushing it.

      @Nexatronic Hill sprints and plyometric squats are better for your legs than standard squats anyways, legs fucking suck to train when you're doing lunges or squats. I usually do pistol squats instead to make it more interesting.

I do pretty much all the same things, I have double dip bars, similar to yours, mine are orange, and instead of rings, I made a homemade suspension system with two 9 foot long, 3/4 inch diameter rope, and the two handles are made from two 5 inch lengths of 1 inch pvc pipes, and of course my metal pullup bar that I made with 4x4's of wood.

    So amazing what some people can achieve on purely plant-based nutrition. It'd be impossible for me, as a hypoglycemic to have any significant gains if I were to only eat plants. And to be honest, while I think I could relatively easily leave out meat from my diet ( I seldom eat it as it is ), I'd miss sweets, milk and eggs.

    The bamboo isn't any warmer in the winter. The difference is the thermal conductivity is about 100 times less. Just putting this out there in case anyone thought bamboo defies the laws of thermodynamics and somehow remains above the ambient temperature in the middle of winter.

    Bamboo chin up bar is a super smart idea. I've built a freestanding pull up station from 4x4 lumber, and the bamboo pole is going to make it that much cooler. Thanks for the idea.

    • @Simnettnutrition
      @Simnettnutrition  7 років тому

      No problem. That will be awesome. I hope to build something like that some day. A helpful tip: I have purchased a few lengths of bamboo in my life and a have noticed that while two pieces of bamboo may have the same diameter, the thickness of the wood (grass) can vary quite a bit. The thicker the wood, the stiffer it will be, which is a consideration when asking bamboo to span 4 or 5 feet. Hope that helps. Let me know how it goes.

    • @humanhanddesign8857
      @humanhanddesign8857 7 років тому

      Thanks. I actually spoke with a guy in California who sells bamboo poles, and he recommended 2 inch diameter for strength. The only problem was shipping was about 3X more than the cost of the bamboo. I built it with all timber from joinery, so there are no nails or metal, would be so much cooler to keep it metal free and have the bar plant based as well, haha. Love the channel, new subscriber.

    • @Simnettnutrition
      @Simnettnutrition  7 років тому

      Human Hand Design Oh very cool. 2 Inches is a little thick for my hands (I'm not that big) so the 1.5 - 1.75 is best for me. But if it's good and strong, it's more than enough. Check out this guys set up with bamboo. ua-cam.com/video/uL3YT80EhiU/v-deo.html

    Hey Derek! I'm wondering if you do crunches? Could you do a video specifically on abs exercises that you train?
    Thanks so much, your channel and progress is quite inspiring.

      Yes, I am expiramenting with different ab techniques right now, when I'm happy with my findings, I'll definitely do a video. It won't include many crunches. ;)
