Watch Episode 87 👉 • Magnificent Century Ep...
Hatice gets mad because of the letter that Sultana Şah has written to İbrahim. Even if Sultana Şah tells that this is Hürrem's plot, her secret gets revealed. Suleiman feels İbrahim's absence more than anytime while he's on Italy Campaign. Mustafa meets a mysterious woman in Manisa. When Suleiman learns what happened to Hürrem, Sultana Şah appears before Suleiman to explain it. As Hürrem thinks that she has broken her enemies' plans, she gets entrapped unexpectedly. A letter written years ago sets two sisters at odds. Sultana Şah tries to convince Hatice that the letter isn't written by her, but Hatice thinks that she has been betrayed and reacts harshly. Sultana Şah makes a new plan to be able to break Hürrem's plot. The difficulties they are faced during the campaign makes Suleiman feel even more alone. Meanwhile, Prince Mehemet gets attacked as he reconnoitres with Bali Bey. Mehmet manages to win Suleiman's appreciation thanks to his courage and strength. On the other hand, Mustafa gets upset with the news he received about the campaign. He also visits foreign traders and listens their increasing complaints. In the mean time, Mustafa meets with a Genoese woman. This woman who is known with her beauty and acrimoniousness draws also Mustafa's attention. Suleiman finally comes back from the campaign. Hürrem tells him everything happened during his absence in her point of view without losing time. Sultana Şah appears before Suleiman and gets shocked after what she hears. Hatice summons up her courage to take revenge on Hürrem without losing time. She sets a deadly trap for Hürrem with a mysterious woman coming from Manisa. What will Hatice do after learning Sultana Şah's secret? Will Sultana Şah be able to break Hürrem's plot? What trap is set for Hürrem?
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.
Cast: Halit Ergenç, Nebahat Çehre, Meryem Uzerli, Okan Yalabık, Nur Aysan, Selma Ergeç, Sema Keçik, Filiz Ahmet, Selim Bayraktar, Selen Öztürk, Nihan Büyükağaç, Burcu Tuna, Merve Oflaz, Arif Erkin, Ali Uyandıran, Alp Öyken, Murat Tüzün, Doğan Turan, Gökhan Çelebi, Yüksel Ünal.

It wasn't like this in real life. Once Mehmet was born, Süleyman made Hürrem a Sultan, which was reserved only for blood Princesses. Then after he married her, her created a special title "Haseki Sultan" (Empress) for her. Now Hürrem is equal in status to Süleyman and above each and every one in the Empire, including Süleyman's sisters. They all bowed to Hürrem, let alone the fact that they talk in a rising tone in front of her. Süleyman broke every rule for Hürrem.

@@MiaMaraa but also Hurrem never admitted that even she born 4 Princes, she wasn't a Sultana by birth. Sah was absolutely right, her mother came at the palace as a Sultana and she left as a Sultana, just like Sah, Beyhan, Hatice and Fatma. Hurrem could born even a hundred of Princes and Sultanas, but Sah was right, Hurrem hadn't this noble blood in her veins and even she didn't want to admit it this would be her problem until the end of her life. Some things should be admitted by people, but Hurrem was a child, she never learnt that neither this world was her's, nor she was more valuable than the Princes. Because only them were the future of the Empire, they would continue to expand the empire and their lands. Hurrem should be at the side with the Prince that he was more appropriate to the throne and this was Prince Beyazid. If she wanted so much to get rid of Ibrahim and then Prince Sultan Mustafa, so she could bring her children, Beyazid and Selim, on step closer to the throne, she should be at Beyazid's side. Because, by choosing Beyazid, she could offer to the empire a great successor of Syleiman and not this drunkard Selim. By choosing Beyazid, the empire would be so lucky, because he was so strong and so he could expand the empire even more than his father. By not choosing Beyazid, Hurrem made the biggest mistake at her whole life, because by preffering Selim at the place of the Sultan, she had signed the end of the empire, which Syleiman and Ibrahim Pasha had started to creat with constant work and it is true that an empire has a lot of work, in order to be expanded. Concerning Ibrahim Pasha's relationship with Sah Sultana, this wasn't true, this was another plot of Hurrem. And I don't know if there any proof that Hurrem was behind Ibrahim Pasha's, Prince Sultan Mustafa's and Kara Ahmed Pasha's executions, Lutfi Pasha's exile, but I know that there are plenty of indications and the most of them are refered to the History of Hurrem, in her biografy. It is written that she made a conspiracy against all of them people that I refered above.

IMO Sah demonstrated some of the same short-sighted behaviors as everyone else. Mahidevran, Hatice, Sah, Fatma, they all functioned under the assumption that if they made a move against Hurrem, she'd go running to Suleiman and he would lash out at her for insulting his family, and eventually banish her. They thought getting rid of Hurrem would solve everything. However, Hurrem gained wisdom and patience with time, and she learned how to play the long game. Sah assumed Hurrem would tattle to Suleiman about her trick, but instead, she directed him to the pasha who gave her the news and used Sah's own plot to cast doubt on Mustafa, all while saying Sah acted nobly during those times of uncertainty. Plus the added bonus to showing Sah that Hurrem wasn't a little girl playing this game, but grown woman with a brain and the gift of strategy. It's honestly some brilliant maneuvering and I can seriously respect it.

Yes, everything you said. Hurrem out manuvered Sah and Sah didn't see that coming from a mile. While they played checkers with her, she played chess with them always. The mistake her opponents always made with her is their need for instant gratification for their plots and schemes against her. And as you said, Hurrem learned to play the long and waiting game. And the patience and careful planning to achieve her goals. You're right, her intellect and shrewdness can only be admired.

"like the rest of our subjects, you cannot help us. You can only serve us."
Gods, this mentality is so toxic. And the worst part is that said mentality carries on from one generation of blood sultanas to the next.
For both Mirimah and Huricihan got it from their mothers and aunts. And Nurbanu was well on her way to enforce it on her daughters as well:
"Your husbands are your servants. Make sure that they always remember that."
No wonder why these girls grow up thinking that being noble is a privilege or a divine right instead of a sacred duty.

Yeah now we all knew why for some kingdoms it's very important for a royalty to marry only a royalty. So that the royal female would keep her royal lineage, and so that the royal male would get a wife that isn't so hard up to being a royalty as she's born with the blood and not just lucky by marriage. This was probably why some cultures promote cousin marriages too, though the religion highly do not encourage it, but otherwise there'd be poor greedy like Hurrem who wanted everything for the "new world" she never had before. Not all commoners are like Cinderella, even Cinderella is originally a rich merchant's daughter, hence still a rich blood that's why she isn't hard up. Anyhow at least royal males if to marry royal females could still avoid cousin marriages, that is if they marry princesses of foreign states

    • @loganmcallen9067
      @loganmcallen9067 Рік тому +1

Honestly, I maybe have a different opinion from what you wrote. Rich blood isn't always a good indicator of whether someone can be greedy or not. If you say so, Nurbanu shouldn't be greedy as before she came from Nobility, but we can see how ambitious she is and even way more ruthless and calculating than Hurrem, probably due to early exposure to politics probably(Nurbanu's Father is a Lord of Paros, she's probably has a grasp on how politics work). On the other hand, being born with rich blood can make one spoiled and incompetent as in the case of Marie Antoinette.
Well, of course, I know there are many competent royals such as Catherine the Great and Maria Theresa of Habsburg. But also many came from commoners that aren't greedy like Madame du Barry, but just young women in love with the king. At the end of the day, it all came from our character and personality.

Hurrem sultan came as slaveyes then she became sultana, as true sultana she rules the harem unlike mahidevran and as true haseki sultana and valide sultana will leave the harem in ep 134. Mahidevran came asslave, asslave she ruled the imperial harem as well as manisa and amasya and asslave she is gone from this world.

Each n Every foe of hurrem outlived her. Your goddess had an early death, not even leading life as a valide. She did not foresee bayazid's execution. This is not something new, even empress raziya sultana of slave dynasty in india was dethroned due to strong hatred of her half mother, due to the strong will of enthroning the latter's son. Women hating women and the rest is nothing to be said.

I'm actually laughing when Shah trying to hurting Hürrem with telling her about her that she is slave and that Shah is a Dynasty.
    Ha!
Shah married one personal who wasn't blue blood at all.
Hatice married actually a slave. They born children who was just a children, nothing more.
Hürrem for God sake, was slave who take her freedom, married Sultan, born children who was prince and she is actually one step up from Sultan's sisters.
    What a fool is Shah!

But Shah's and Hatice's children aren't just children - they are still considered as royalty. In real history the sons of blood Sultanas were called Sultanzades and daughters Hanimsultans. They were still princes and princesses, they just couldn't ascend to the throne because of a male exclusive primogeniture of islamic inheritance laws. The throne was therefore only inherited through a male line - only the Padishah's sons could therefore inherit the position of the next Sultan. Even in this series Hatice's daughter Huricihan and Mihrimah's daughter Ayshe Humashah are still considered princesses and blood of the dynasty, however in the series they incorrectly still refer to them as Sultanas, which is a title that was usually used to refer to only the daughters of the Padishah, granddaughters were called Hanimsultans and grandsons Sultanzades if they descended from a female line.

I am joking. I know ranking that Hurrem was above Imperial princesses.
      1. Valide Sultan
      2. Haseki Sultan
      3. Imperial Princesses
      4. Concubines of non-haseki rank who are mothers of children
      5. Childless concubines of non-haseki rank aka Hatuns
      6. Gözdes aka bedded concubines
      7. Simple concubines aka cariyes
      Hurrem TOP!

Sultans should never marry poor hatuns of harem. They should marry in loyalty only. Hurrem showed she was a slabe by her actions who couldn't handle power n prestige. Just like a pig can't appreciate pearls.
