This song changed my life !!!! Blue Guitar is my favorite ! I've had 3 different guitars given too me, the 1st one Ole Blue by a stranger ! And 2 more by friends, and they were all blue ! After injuries from a car accident, doctors told me, I would never play or sing again ! Out of the blue, my mom called me one night, to come to her house ! She said a preacher stopped by, and dropped something off ! The story is, a man that I don't know to this day. was awakened from a dream, and told by God, to give his guitar to a man named Earl ! He was led to give it to a man named Skip, who in turn gave it to the preacher, who then brought it too my mom ! She told me go in the living room, and leaning against her couch was a guitar case ! Now mind you years before, I was in a band called Driftwood ( name of a Moody Blues song) I had a blue acoustic/electric guitar, that had a sound of it's own ! I traded it for a straight up electric guitar ! I didn't like the sound of the electric, and went to get my guitar back, and it was sold, and discontinued ! From there it went down hill ! I lived in Virginia at the time, as I had gotten a job, a house, and in a working band , all the same day ! In fact played in the band that night , pretty crazy ! I even had Elvis 1st cousin show up at 2 of our gigs, and he told me, if Elvis were alive, he would be proud to know me, as I do not half bad covers of my favorite artist, including the Moody Blues ! Anyhow, I traveled to New Jersey where I was originally from, to the store I got my blue guitar from, same store where I traded it ! Not long after, the band broke up, and I moved back to Jersey ! One weekend my friend John, who got me the job that weekend, came to Jersey and spent the weekend, with my family and I ! He handed me a cassette tape with tears in his eyes ,and said ! You have to listen to Blue Guitar, as he knew my heart was broke after losing my blue guitar ! He said, I wonder if Justin Hayward had a dream about you, when he wrote it ! hahaha So some years later, after the accident, not being able to even hold a guitar, imagine a stranger giving me one, and in my mind, I thought, there is no way I can play it ! So I walk over, and open the case, and there is this beautiful BLUE acoustic/electric guitar , better than the one I had lost years before ! Wowww ! I went home, and placed the guitar in a chair, and went to bed, thinking. I'll never play again ! Around 3 a.m. as if someone whispered my name, I woke, sat on the edge of the bed, looked at the guitar case, then went over and opened it ! I took the guitar out, went over and sat on the bed ! As soon as I put it in my hands, I was able to play better than I ever had, in fact wrote a song right then and there , called I'll Say A Prayer ! Crazy right ? I'm sorry for the long comment, and I understand if you remove it ! But I just wanted to say how thankful I am, for the music of Elvis, and The Moody Blues, especially Justin Hayward, and John Lodge ! I grew up listening to Elvis, because Mom always had a stack of his albums on the record player, and my dad, who opened for Patsy Cline when he was 15, was dubbed , The Elvis Presley of the East Coast ! But then Elvis passed, and I heard Nights In White Satin, and was hooked on The Moody Blues ! Something I realized, when all of this hit me, after getting Ole Blue, as my friends call him hahaha ! IS Elvis' last album was called Moody Blue , and was a blue vinyl album ! So there you have it ! Thank you again, Justin, and John for the song, Blue Guitar , and also the song My Brother, that my buddy John also dedicated to me ! The song explains me to a T ! I've lived the life, of some of your songs, unaware until Ole Blue came along ! And Justin ! One day a few years back , I saw you, the girl playing keyboard, and the younger guy that played guitar, in a little theater in Delaware or Pa. ! After when I went outside, I was the crazy guy that held up traffic, so your tour bus, and band trailer could back down the side street to load equipment ! Not realizing, that a certain SUV I held up, was in fact, you and your driver hahahahaa Sorry ! This is Ole Blue and I , about 10 years ago, with my band The Cartunzz ( cars and tunes), not bad after being told I would never play or sing again ! Thank you again Justin, for being a part of my recovery ! Again sorry for telling my story here, and how you inspired me ! I just felt compelled to share ! At 63 I don't play much anymore, but got back out there for a while to have fun, and make some smiles ! Can hardly walk anymore, but mannnnnn what a ride !
May be an image of 1 person and guitar ( picture wouldn't post ! )

When the pandemic hit I think they were in the middle of a USA tour so they are probably picking up where they left off. Hope you get to see them. The Moody Bluea, as a band , are finished , according to John Lodge, who says Justin doesn't want to continue , preferring his solo work with Mike Dawes and Julie Ragin. this was one of the inspirations for learning guitar in the 70's! cheers guys. I saved up my pocket money and rushed down the local record shop to get the 45! Played it over and over on my parents new Hifi!

Thank you. I loved this track. In 1975 all my friends were mad over disco (so was I) but this really touched me. I would play it over and over again. Beautiful. Great memories.

Its Justin Hayward and John Lodge a song written by Justin for their spin off band called The Blue Jays 10cc were in the backing group and production John and Justin are the main vocalists of the Moody Blues who formed this band and are clearly portrayed singing their hearts out here..love this clip and their beautiful blonde hair at its best. 💕😍

This evening is a tour de force of Blue Jays, Justin Hayward, and Ray Thomas music. Three classy troubadours that made up a musically influential part of my life now gently calm my transition to the realm of Morpheus.
