Actually since end of last season Rhaenyra was doing everything she can to prevent a war even with after loosing two children and her father in a matter of few days. She is the one true Queen if they just crowned her instead of Aegon the war might have never happened yes there is a few men that is sexist that would rather see a king on the throne but she had the support of most of the people in the realm unfortunetely Otto made sure to kill most of her support to get Aegon on the throne. I am team black all the way.
She’s doing everything to prevent a war? Her indecisiveness is going to cause so much more bloodshed. Either take the dragons and burn the greens in one quick decisive battle, or make the ultimate sacrifice and surrender your claim to the throne in the good of the people as any clear thinking ruler would do Also, why did she think negotiating with Alicent was the right move? She can’t do anything anymore. She’s not the Queen Regent anymore and Aegon is fuelled by revenge. No one on the council is going to listen to her.

When Rhae,yra told Alicent about the song of ice and fire you can tell Alicent was thinking oh crap what have I done and Alicent was just telling her it's too late she can't do anything

That first scene really showed how the small folk suffer in these wars. I enjoyed seeing the Witch Queen of Harrenhal! Also it might not be the fastest or biggest dragon, but Caraxes is def my fave, his look and sound are so cool. Otto was a douche, but he was also Hand of the King over the peaceful reigns of the two previous Kings, and I liked seeing the insecure Cole reminded of that!
2:42 house Bracken and house blackwood don't need much of an excuse to war with eachother they've got a centuries long feud going on If you remember willam Blackwood from S1 killing that Bracken at Rheanyra's suiters for her hand in marriage after she rejected his offer because he was too young

Queen Rhaenyra was supposed to be the one to crowned not Aegon it could have prevented the war from happening in the first place, Rhaenyra had a lot of support which greens got rid of to get Aegon on throne. Rhaenyra has been trying everything she can to prevent a war since last episode of season 1. Even after loosing two children and her father in matter of days she still determined for peace I respect that from her it shows that she has a good side but unfortunately peace is gone now too much damage on both sides.
@shockwave1126 Her bloodline remains yes but the principle the greens fought for that males come before females is set so you can also make the argument that the greens legacy wins out.
@@TravisKastl-ui9mk Fair enough. Black and red colors survive via the lineage and the green dragon on green banners disappear. Very sad story for sure.
@shockwave1126 The red and black colors are for all targaryens including Aegon. Argon uses gold and green and Rhaenyra uses a mix of her mother’s the valaryons and the Targaryen colors. This is their personal heraldry that they use in wars to tell their sides apart but they both still use the red and black for official purposes. But yes sad.

Yeah, keeping the peace is over, she's tried her best to but Rhaenyra now needs to burn them all with dragon fire. The dragons need feeding, Rhaenyra should show some lady balls and go to war.

Loved the cut from the teens bickering to the aftermath of a massive battle.
