The kid at the beginning is not the same one that tried for Rhaenyra's hand (Willem Blackwood, who would be in his thirties by now), but that is his house (Blackwood) and the people they fight are from the same house (Bracken) as the person that Willem dueled and killed for insulting him. They were also mentioned in episode 6 at a small council meeting where they were fighting over land borders.
Cristion wasn't supposed to guard halaina personally but he was supposed to appoint someone to do so he never did because he was busy smashing alicent, that's what arryk ( aegons twin) got on him about last episode.
I don't think he didn't appoint anyone bc he was with Alicent, since he did appoint the Night's Watch. I think he just didn't think it necessary for them to have a guard.

Cole was not supposed to be guarding Helaena, he was supposed to be guarding Alicent as he is ALICENT'S sworn protector. But it was his fault as head of the kings guards to not give Helaena, the queen, her own sworn protector. Overall the murder was mainly Daemon's fault as the person who hired the murders and Cole's for not making sure to assign Helaena her own sworn protector

you miss understood about the dragons the 2 young dragons are 2 of rhyneras younger sons dragons, one is a hatchling that cant fight and the other is also very young and cant be ridden (the eldest one is owned by joffrey and he is only 6) and joffrey will stay at the vale with his dragon which isn't of age to fight, while(owned by one of the youngest of rhynera and daemons kids) and Rhaena (the daughter of deamond and leana who doesn't have a dragon and originally wanted to claim vheagar) will go to pentos with the two youngest children where they can hopefully be safe
As much as I appreciate Rhaenyra's desire to avoid bloodshed, they way she's been acting has been killing me lately. War was guaranteed the moment Aegon had that crown placed on his head. Her trying to "negotiate" a peace deal is just wasting time. Time that could be spent gathering her forces and trying to repair her image.

Daenerys dragon eggs were featured in this episode! Daemons scene at harrenhal was probably the best of the episode though, do many layers to it. I cracked up at that realization face too! I agree that with the wheels of war moving there was nothing Alicent could do to stop things and probably admitting the mistake to Rhaenera would only weaken her own resolve.. Annoying, but understandable from her pov. I know a lot of people say it was stupid for Alicent to think of the wrong Aegon when the king last spoke, but aside from not knowing the prophecy, her only frame of reference was his drunken worries to her about choosing Rhaenera over Aegon as heir to set things right all those years ago at the hunt. Anyway I think the end nicely sealed the theme of the whole episode -regardless of what began things, war is now inevitable. Don't think Rhaenera will be holding back, now. Can't wait for next week!

I think Alicent wanted revenge and took Viyseris words and twisted them to spite Rhynera. Overtime she felt Rhynera didn’t deserve the throne as Alicent felt she endured the responsibility while Rhynera did what she wanted.

One the the best warriors that had existed and Jaime Lannister considers him a great. Only great fighters of his time he has no interaction with is Cregan Stark, Dalton Greyjoy, and Bloody Ben Blackwood, but I still think he could take nonetheless. He trained Aegon II. , Aemond and Daeron, and all turned out as brave and skilled warriors. Thanks to him Aemond became what he is - nuff said. I personally would put him amongst the top 10 Kingsguard fighters of all time, alongside Ryam Redwyne, Gwayne Corbray, Jaime Lannister, Barristan Selmy, Arthur Dayne, Gerold Hightower, Duncan The Tall and Aemon the Dragonknight. During his 1v1 with Hawin Strong, Criston hits the man's shield so hard with his mace that is breaks Harwins arm. He beats daemon in 1 on 1. fair and square and not by attacking him in the back while he's gloating like they did in the SHOW. The show seems determined to get rid of all his achievements. Also did try to challenge all 4/5 of the Black commanders to single combat prior to the Butcher’s Ball to avoid a battle and save his men since they were pretty much surrounded and basically guaranteed to get slaughtered. Imagine a group of commanders shaking in fear and didnt accept and promptly shot him with arrows until he died (and butchered his men anyways), but the fact he was willing to fight all of those men at once showed he was pretty confident in his combat skills.

Too bad the writers have done such a bad job incorporating this issue and given people so many reasons to hate Cole character, I will never understand why the show didn't explore Criston Cole's background as a low-born, self-made man overcoming discrimination. He should be a character the audience can identify with in some respects. Yes, hate him too. But Criston's struggle with discrimination and being low-born is only hinted at when Harwin says, “he is the son of a steward,” implying he matters less. Instead, they have made Criston, and sadly Fabien Frankel, a punching bag for the fandom. the writers just want him to be hated and that's it for them.

Daenerys dragon eggs were featured in this episode! Daemons scene at harrenhal was probably the best of the episode though, do many layers to it. Condal really is proving how different he is from d&d with that. Thats the kinda stuff i expect to see when the writers take liberties with the source material.
I mean, the eggs were and weren't featured. The showrunners said they were, but the books say Helaena's dragon bore Dany's eggs.

Cole was supposed to assign a guard to Halaena. He didn't have to guard her himself. But since he didn't do assign her one, it is his fault.
I cracked up at that realization face too! I agree that with the wheels of war moving there was nothing Alicent could do to stop things and probably admitting the mistake to Rhaenera would only weaken her own resolve.. Annoying, but understandable from her pov. I know a lot of people say it was stupid for Alicent to think of the wrong Aegon when the king last spoke, but aside from not knowing the prophecy, her only frame of reference was his drunken worries to her about choosing Rhaenera over Aegon as heir to set things right all those years ago at the hunt.
Anyway I think the end nicely sealed the theme of the whole episode -regardless of what began things, war is now inevitable. Don't think Rhaenera will be holding back, now. Can't wait for next week!

The last scene was stupid and made no sense it changed anything just killed the tension between characters war was already happening and Alicent could stop nothing she has no power Aegon has and he lost his son , the only way war could be stopped if Rhaenyra surrender as Alicent said there was no other option

I think Alicent wanted revenge and took Viyseris words and twisted them to spite Rhynera. Overtime she felt Rhynera didn’t deserve the throne as Alicent felt she endured the responsibility while Rhynera did what she wanted.

One the the best warriors that had existed and Jaime Lannister considers him a great. Only great fighters of his time he has no interaction with is Cregan Stark, Dalton Greyjoy, and Bloody Ben Blackwood, but I still think he could take nonetheless. He trained Aegon II. , Aemond and Daeron, and all turned out as brave and skilled warriors. Thanks to him Aemond became what he is - nuff said. I personally would put him amongst the top 10 Kingsguard fighters of all time, alongside Ryam Redwyne, Gwayne Corbray, Jaime Lannister, Barristan Selmy, Arthur Dayne, Gerold Hightower, Duncan The Tall and Aemon the Dragonknight. During his 1v1 with Hawin Strong, Criston hits the man's shield so hard with his mace that is breaks Harwins arm. He beats daemon in 1 on 1. fair and square and not by attacking him in the back while he's gloating like they did in the SHOW. The show seems determined to get rid of all his achievements.
Also did try to challenge all 4/5 of the Black commanders to single combat prior to the Butcher’s Ball to avoid a battle and save his men since they were pretty much surrounded and basically guaranteed to get slaughtered. Imagine a group of commanders shaking in fear and didnt accept and promptly shot him with arrows until he died (and butchered his men anyways), but the fact he was willing to fight all of those men at once showed he was pretty confident in his combat skills.
