ABOUT Press release of the concert in 2013
An electric bass guitar is not just for bass lines: you can also drum on it and play melodies. At least Larry Graham can when he has one in his hands. He began his style of playing as a teenager in his mother's band when the organist and drummer both took off, and developed it to perfection in Sly & the Family Stone. A pumping funk bass became his trademark. After collaborating with Sly Stone for six years, in 1972 he formed his own band Hot Chocolate, later renamed Graham Central Station. Afterwards, among other things, he worked for a long time with Prince who is also a guest on Graham Central Station's latest album, Raise Up (2012). The funk bassist likes challenging collaborations: at the North Sea Jazz Festival he will be performing with British slap bass icon Mark King of Level 42.

We want to Funk. 💜☮️💜🕊️.

Yeah, the funk is the house LOL.
I met Larry back in the 80's at the church he went too...
This was truly Funky 💥💯💯💯💯✨️✨️✨️
The best self-introduction in the world
9:43
Sound people, why does it take you 2 minutes before you start turning up Larry's bass when he is taking a solo?
Because we did not get enough time for soundcheck
Fun fact: Larry Graham is Drakes uncle.
Everybody knows that.
Dang!
Love that 4:41
Anyone know if Larry is still doing anything? Havent seen any more recent shows in quite a long while now.
Omg... that's Biscuit!!*🎉😂
ここにGCSの最高の瞬間がある🥹

LARRY GRAHAM / G C S---
F O R E V E R!!!!!!!!!!
Now That’s the Goat !!
What year was this?
Wath a drummer...wath a band...wath a bass player
THE GREATEST EVER
Sly lost a big piece of his band when LARRY left!
At 32:20 into the video Larry Graham introduces a Bass player out of all the players they meshed. I'm thinking he was bringing out Stanley Clarke. Who is this Mark King? In my opinion, King is a B minus player. Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten, Bootsy, Verdine White and Flea are equal to Graham, which makes them A plus players. King's electric fretboard is impressive, that's all.
And what about Paul Jackson?
❤❤❤❤ Drake's uncle if didn't nobody know
Trippy mic stand on his Bass.
My Uncle Prince
Great concert, the lady is irritating
Is he usin a pick?!
Thumb
sometimes using a pick
The side of his thumb with his thumbnail
Look like the only black people there is Larry and his band
She can go sit down
😂
Mark King is an imitation of Larry who's the innovator of the style
The Hell is wrong with Graham , he had a girl named Chocolate in the group he replaced with a white girl thes masons losing their minds
So what's the problem? I think vanilla was much better. You jealous hater.
Very disturbing
The mix on Marks bass was awful.
The whole mix is off. Keys and drums on top.
Gut,aber schlecht gemixt !!...
Mark King showing the world that there’s nothing great about Larry Graham at all! He may have been the first, but by no means is he the best. King is a far greater bassist, in terms of style and musicality. LG has a revived career because of Prince, end of. Without Prince LG would NEVER in 2013 be able to play shows of that size.
Hater!
Nothing great about Larry? He is an icon. Its not a competition. Larry invented Thump and Pop that Mark took to another level. They BOTH are bass royality. You sound like a clueless, uniformed hater.
... and yet like Larry Mark's only hits are from 30 years ago which imitates Larry once again.
Lol, looks like you have something personal against Larry as your statement is idiotic. At least Larry has his own lane unlike you with your mediocore Prince covers and imitations. Worry about your own music instead of trying to insult a legendary, iconic musician.
You don't have a clue 😮
CANT REPLACE CHOCOLATE WITH VANILLA
This band sucks !!!
Y
Energia Pura!!!😂❤😂❤😂😂
