As a UF fan, I'm tired of the quick coach turnover. Anything 6-6 or above, I think he should get another year.
6-6 with that schedule, and it's a lock he returns.

@@Chad13Nobody’s “content” with 17-20 but it’s a shame you don’t recognize the dumpster fire Mullen left and the rebuild Napier has had to do.
Napier NEEDS a full season with Lagway as QB1. Otherwise there is no point.

Not just for mass exodus purposes. Because Billy Napier with this roster with a normal schedule is easily a 9-11 win team so a 5-7 record doesn’t mean Jack. It’s illogical to fire him because you’re not going to get a Nick Saban. You would only go down.
Mullen produced wins with Mac’s roster but his laziness caught up to him. Had Billy had this roster a couple years back this would be a different story and 5-7 would be expected and fine because it would be his first losing season.
Apparently not everyone takes philosophy because most of them don’t make any sense. Josh pate and the other guy from on3 have been on the CBN train. This man has gutted the bad culture out of our program and to let someone else enjoy the fruits of his labor would be Dan Mullen all over again and be serious at the rate of BN recruiting and given the years Novell had we are a championship team with a championship culture and a championship program. You guys can’t name someone else who would even remotely know how to carry that torch forward.
Unlike Mike white he had to go and we needed an analytical coach that’s hungry and ready to recruit and we hit the golden opportunity.

@@ecinZtark Year 3 under Billy, he has had ample time to flip the roster. No more excuses for Billy after he has another losing season this year.
There are tons of QBs in the portal nowadays. You don't keep a horrible head coach over 1 recruit. 2025 has same schedule, we cant drain anymore energy out of the program like Billy has done, he is making UF more irrelevant by the day.

Floridas a lot better than people think they literally gave away 3 games last year that would have gave them 8 wins Billy’s progress is undeniable idc what anyone says Dan Mullens team would have been the first team since 1978 we didn’t have a guy drafted Billy got pearsall in the portal and saved that from happening the campus and facilities were way behind the ball game the progress isn’t reflecting on the field yet but it will I haven’t seen Florida trending in this direction in a long time everything has to fall in place first before you win a natty it doesn’t happen over night look at Kirby smart when he got to Georgia it was a work in progress let the man cook if keeps recruiting like he is wins will start piling up then these kids will WANT to come play ball in Gainesville only a die hard 5 star would come to a losing school just let the man cook is all I’m saying
The situation with Kirby is also a lot different. It took him a while WITH talent. Mark Richt was a great recruiter. Billy’s had none like you said.
Those three games need to be wins. He burned all of his goodwill last year. He can’t have constant errors game after game. If he cant progress then he can’t lose at home.
@@Jollydawg1411 he just dropped an interview addressing it and everything he said made sense Dan screwed us Billy finally got out the hole like he said it’s not a construction site anymore and it feels good and like his team don’t give up on him yet
@@Jollydawg1411 we just can’t keep firing coach after coach we aren’t going to get any where like that and tbh the teams bought in and believes in it I noticed that when one guy hit the last portal he was going in the fall but our lb room was injured so he stuck around through spring for the team no bad blood he just knew he wasn’t going to play and he wants to wish him well but that speaks a little bit they don’t want to leave ya know
@@Jollydawg1411 and also he addressed the errors in those loses last year one was a missed field goal last seconds of the Arkansas game and then the Missouri loss we had them beat and gave a 4th down and 20 or something like that it was long and our defense dropped the ball something against Florida state gave up a 3 score lead but aye Billy just brought in Ron Robert’s to clean all that up now he pretty much runs the defense main thing is making tackles Florida was one of the worst teams for missed tackles last year that’s why Kentucky got away from us it’s the little things Ron straight up praised Armstrong but he also said idc how good your play book is it don’t mean anything if you can’t make the tackle let them boys cook the fans have been screaming this forever
I’m a Sunshine pumper but we have to make a bowl and be competitive in our loses. This team is too talented to be under .500
Florida will not fire Billy until Lagway gets a year as the starter. With transfer portal they know if Billy is fired Lagway is gone. Die hard Gator here and i support Billy and still feel he needs more time I think we will be solid the schedule is full of Logos but half those schools have either new HC or new QB
You have to take into consideration the situation he came into and this year you have to consider that ridiculous schedule. If Billy goes 6-6 but plays the top teams close then he should be safe. If he gets blown out 4-5 times he will be gone for sure
Nobody ever takes that stuff into consideration the amount of good Billy has done is undeniable you know if it wasn’t for him getting pearsall in the portal this past season would have been the first season since 1978 we didn’t have anyone drafted that’s sad Dan really ran us into the ground not to mention how behind the university was and the facilities the guys doing big things let him cook and we’ll start seeing results everyone for got we literally gave away 3 games 2 due to poor defense the 4th down against mizzou and the 3 score lead we blew against fsu 1 game due to missing the field goal last seconds of the game to Arkansas , that’s 8 wins the defense will be cleaned up daddy ron don’t play
@@daltonbradshaw1391bruh making all kinds of excuses for Napier. The FG against Arkansas was missed because Napier tried to run the FG team on when it was a clear spike situation. The FSU game was 12-0 with the ball on FSU’s 45 and the guy try’s to run a double reverse pass to the opposite of the field with a backup quarterback, completely taking away all our momentum during the game. The guy was a South Carolina 4th down tackle from being 4-8. Would love to be proven wrong but I don’t see it with this guy
@@Chad13Bruh, be optimistic for once. Look at how well Napier has recruited compared to Dan Mullen. The spring game also looked solidly impressive even compared to my other team the Oregon Ducks. Florida’s got a bright future even if there’s sadly people like you who can’t see it. All I ask for you is to give him ONE MORE CHANCE to finish 7-5 or more. That’s all I ask of y’all.

The only questionable teams are a&m tbh the other teams are legit
the majority of the teams we play this year have much more talent then us, and not just talent but depth at almost every position. Only comparable teams are A&M, Miss St and UCF plus the "gimme" Samford game.

Lsu is beatable , Texas is over hyped definitely will get their welcome to the sec moment this year. Tennesee starts a redshirt freshman Kentucky is replacing the whole team. Fsu is replacing just about the whole team. Miss st is blah, ole miss doesnt play defense texas am has a new coaching staff, miami is blah. I only count one loss and that's Georgia every other team is beatable in that list even Texas.

If cbn gets fired i wouldn't be surprised if the gators would hire chip kelly or kiffin being the top guys offered. But look out for usf's coach also. Ultimately i hope we prove everyone wrong and have a good year. That spread offense they had lagway was beautiful in the spring game and would score alot of points.
I really think they beat aTm and I think they beat them soundly in week-3.
If you fire Napier that no coaching clown down at Miami will throw a million bucks at Lagway and he'll be out of UF on the 1st thing smoking. Be careful.

Everyone keeps talking about what happens if the Gators are losing games they should win and how there will be a shakeup on the offense blah blah blah but the year will go exactly how the defense goes. Florida was in quite a few close games where if it wasn't for the terribad defense, they would have won. The offense ... with limited snaps because the defense couldn't get the opponent off the field ...did well last year. In fact, they got better as the year went on.
The offense won't be what kills Napier and the Gators this year. It will be the Defense. Period. No need to look a Mertz or Lagway. No need to talk about the offense at all. It WILL be the defense that makes the difference. If last years defense was just average, they would've went bowling. That's how bad it was. Give Florida an average defense and they will hold their own. Give Florida a great defense and they will win the games they should and a few they shouldn't. Forget the offense. It's all defense.
If we get rid of BILLY, no more 5 star or 4 star recruits will come to Florida, period. That's why GRIMSLEY didn't come to Florida because of the fear of Billy not being there, from his own mouth. Hence, that's why he left ALABAMA. Kids want head coach's that are going to stay because of the bond they made with them.
Let's cut through all these "if"s. For the good of the whole program, this needs to be a One Game Season. Beat Miami and make a huge statement. Rekindle confidence. Build some momentum. Give all those optimistic factors a chance to take root and sprout. Shock the world. Give the Gators a taste of what it's like to win a Big Game, and they will get hungry for more.
Lose this one and a huge tailspin will occur. Three and nine will become their ceiling, not the floor. And another season could go up in flames. In that case, Napier should be terminated immediately, and some rebuilding can begin. I too like Billy. But I'm convinced he's the wrong coach in the wrong place at the wrong time. Prove me wrong Coach! But you only deserve one more game to do it.
There are 5 teams on the schedule that are potential top 5 teams in College Football, 9 possible top 10 teams.

With this schedule Billy needs at least 1 year with Lagway and McCray… if he has really bad year… they better be Bringing in someone like Kiffin, Day, Meyer, Lanning! If not Billy needs a chance with DJ and company, blowing it up for another shot in the dark coach will ruin this team for years.

i think Kiffen is a good fit as of right now. Maybe wont fix the culture but can damn well bring in talent and wins. Just not sure because he can never keep a job for too long but at this point we don't have many options. UF certainly has more resources than Ole Miss but he's already got a winning formula there, so he may wait for an "easier" job to open up that doesn't require a massive rebuild. (DeBoer gets fired)

At the end of the day you have to be a killer in the SEC and Sunbelt Billy certainly isn't. But it will be what it will be.
