My tiny, tiny Chilli Rasboras all hover at the top and mostly pick the food off the surface. What sinks the Ember tetras get and any gets past half way down it's shrimp food. Had success with "Tropical Micro Pellets" which are very fine almost powder. Love the pepper grinder idea!
Mine are ok eating from the bottom or from plant leaves. Baby brine shrimp and crushed bug bites are what I use.... But I have to say, the pepper grinder is genius!
I guess I am lucky, my chili Rasboras eat many of the foods I tried. The favorite ones are baby brine shrimp and shrimp baby from Glasgarten. It sinks, but they will eat most of it before they go down.
Cheers for this! Mine don't touch the NT labs micro crumb, was really disappointed after hearing good reviews. Anyway as with all my fish adore they love live baby brine shrimp over anything else👍
@@GlassBoxDiariesyeah the hobby one. Their eggs are the best too. I use 3 teaspoons of salt, a pinch of bicarbonate of soda(to raise ph) then once dissolved add a few small scoops of brine shrimp eggs to the outer ring. Put the lid on and leave a light on, 24 hours later you can start harvesting :)
@@GlassBoxDiariesyeah, definitely worth it, really simple. I have 3 sets now, they last 1-2 days each so start a new one every day or so to have a constant supply 😂
Thanks for this. Where did you get the grinder from? I'm looking on Amazon and it looks like they have a similar one to that, but they're charging £7.99.

I will see if I can find the micro pellets in my area to give them a try :)
Just purchased the Nt Labs micro, my new Chili Rasboras are tiny and are struggling with the tetra micro granules unless I crush it into dust
Its one of the only things I have been able to find that they will eat without issue, going to order more soon :)

Cheers :), even months later, mine won't eat from the bottom, they seem to ignore food as soon as it starts to sink.

I will give it a try if I can find it :)
I like videos that don't mess around, and that pour on the information. Your videos are excellent! Thanks for posting.
Thanks so much, glad they are helping :)

I really want to try live baby brine shrimp with my fish, do you just use one of those hatchery kits from Amazon?

Either Tesco or B+M, not 100% sure but its the only two places I buy stuff like that.
@@GlassBoxDiaries Thanks mate. Will take a look in those shops and see if I can get one.
Micro or banana worms are a favorite of mine.
Thanks for the tip, I will have to give them a try :)
LIVE BRINE SHRIMP!
I should have added "baby" :)
Its a pain to get them here, I can get the frozen adult ones but they seem too big and my chilis didnt touch them back when I tried them.
