Splitting the compilation into parts was a good move, I can't thank you enough for your dedication of showing all the cut content of one of my favourite games
Thanks for letting me know how you feel about the series! I am glad to hear that you share the same passion for all the cut and unused content for the game, a lot of which is very interesting and hard to imagine actually being in Fable... but we have proof!
Avarice this is a real treat and a brilliant update to your previous cut content videos with all the very latest scrapped unused content that we have found. The game files that’s you have shown in Oakvale Start could possibly be from Project Ego! Especially the Greatfields and giant lobster attack. I loved your ideas involving the stealth mechanics and a mini game involving the bribing guards section. This totally would make sense. Truly epic stuff and I can’t wait to see more ❤
Thanks for the feedback and sharing your sentiments about the video, Lee! Most of that stuff like the Travelling Leader and the Beach Guard / Girl would not have been possible without your research, I am definitely going to have to look through your document some more and see if there is anything else I have missed. Hopefully it won't take me so long to make a new part to this :)
@@AvariceOverlord I don’t think that you have my latest version. I will send across to you via Discord. It feels so good to see you back. Can't wait for part 2. Your content is chill and relaxing. The first Fable is one of my favorite games of all time. I got it as a kid for christmas when it came out.
Thank you for the kind words! Same here, I can still remember it vividly that I was about eight years old in the Christmas of 2004 when my parents got me Fable and an original Xbox. It's just one of those games that, no matter how many times I play it, I feel like it never really loses its flare!
The Fable series seems to be one that isn't mentioned often unless you're either praising the gameplay & often obscure plotlines, or you're using it as a backboard to bash Peter Molynuex 😅😂 I played the first Fable on the original Xbox shortly after release. After my buddy beat it, we traded his Xbox for my GameCube, and I played only Fable for probably two months. He eventually wanted his console back, so that experience alone drove me to ask my mom to buy me an Xbox & Fable. Fast-forward about three years, and because Fable had RPG elements, I wasn't afraid to try playing World of Warcraft. That turned into a 10-year near addiction to roleplay with friends before I stopped to have a family. After doing that for a little over a decade, I'm back to WoW Classic 🎉 TL;DR -- Fable changed the trajectory of my life and gaming play style. This video is great and brought back so many memories!!
I wish I had friends in school who were willing to play it, but whenever I told anyone about it they would usually be like "I heard of it, but I never really played it" which was a shame. To be fair, they were probably like me, when I first got a copy of Fable at the age of eight I really didn't know what to think of it as the only Xbox game I had heard about was Halo. In a way, I was disappointed when I read a game case that said "Fable" on it. Then I put that disk into the tray and started playing it... the rest is history!
I am happy to hear that man :) Some of this is stuff that I hadn't even done a video about and simply learned while we were all pulling the game and the debug version apart... so I guess that makes sense! GameGenie82 also found some stuff that I didn't even know before, like the Beach Guard and Beach Girl dialogue.
The dialogue from the Traveller Leader and the Beach Guard ect came from that very Project Ego file that also had Thunder attacking you at Orchard Farm and sacrificing people in those torture chambers at the Capel of Evil.
@@gamegenie8213 Thunder attacking you at Orchard Farm is very interesting, it supports the idea that he had a "camp" pretty close to the end of Greatwood. Especially if you were young like me at the time of its release and you heard nothing about it from Peter Molyneux lol. But on a serious note, you can tell the developers poured their heart and soul into Fable and it shows!
Very true, they definitely planned for a more detailed story with some personalized elements. It honestly used to get me feeling depressed sometimes when I thought about what kind of game Fable could have been, but I have learned to accept the game for the masterpiece that it already is.
I’ve personally spent year shifting through cut and scrapped dialogue from older builds of the game that were involving quests and believe that there were over thirty quests that went unused during Fable development. Six were cut very late in development and had items, dialogue, npcs and even Hero Boasts. Sad really as Fable needed more content.
