There are a lot of good poly plows on the market too I was kind of hesitate to buy one at first I've have a Meyer 8ft6inch plow on a F350 drw 4wd and the blade has never cracked or punctured I've plowed snow with it for years
I did notice one thing wrong with this, they generalized all snow plows as metal, and said they can be stainless steel or carbon steel. That is incorrect - a lot of plows are being made out of polyethylene (plastic). A lot of cutting edges are still made out of metal, which is the part that comes in contact with the ground. Metal holds up better in that part, but polyethylene lasts longer as the moldboard.
I do not miss working in fab shops like those dealing with metal sheets brake press and laser machines ..spent years in one making train parts ...now I'm relaxed in a office🤑
You guys should come to Northern Norway and ser how real plows are made GMI plows or maybe Saltvik or other companies that make real plows. All of the snow clearances videos I have watched from the states or Canada have been plows that is jumping and making “washing boards”
r godon Yep. I am on my second poly plow and will never have a steel plow. If I had to have steel, I might consider SS, but the way that snow rolls off poly and no rust or repainting to worry about, it is the cat’s meow.
r godon Yes, but different designs. Many small companies get bought up by holding companies yet retain much of what they started with. I think all plow makers should make poly plows. Poly is superior to steel in almost every way, albeit it can be a little heavier.
Grew up with this show and still love it to this day.

Fisher makes excellent snow plows!
The Boss plow factory is right down the road from me
That's cool to see how they made shovels attached to dump trucks and pickup trucks too.
Awesome. I was just using a plow the other day and it was a blast.
Hahahaha I am so very happy with your username
I see Boss plows that are worth way more than the vehicle it’s mounted on
Yet they don't pay there employees shit. I used to be a welder at boss snow plow.
I remember watching this show when I was 6 to 10 years old.
Jared Kaiser wow you have been watching for some time
So do you have one yet?

A lot of explanations and work. When I'd just duct tape a few snow shovels onto a an old Ford truck
And I have to pay 1000 dollars for my 4 weeler plow and they do this dam that's easy
You could pay 9200 for that Fisher XLS that they showed like I did. Your’s sounds like a deal once you hear how much the large ones go for.
Wheeler* damn*
Good
Now I know 👍
I forgot about the puns.

Nobody cares. This is America. We have states bigger than Norway. FYI Fisher, only one of many plow manufactures, makes 30 times the plows GMI does.
The best plows are made of poly and are red. 😁
LTVoyager are you referring to western?
r godon Yep. I am on my second poly plow and will never have a steel plow. If I had to have steel, I might consider SS, but the way that snow rolls off poly and no rust or repainting to worry about, it is the cat’s meow.
LTVoyager you know they’re made by the same company right? Douglas dynamics
