All two tier Keir had to say was he understood our fears. He is a man that lacks charisma and charm that we would like in our leaders. He has the people skills of a spoon.
As for the facial recognition software, it reminds me of the debate - or lack of it - when CCTV surveillance came in. Only a few people were worried about how this could lead to a surveillance state. One of them was the Times' Niall Ferguson, who had just returned from Communist China and seen the cameras everywhere.
Very well said. Starmer isn't a leader, and his leadership of his own party has been extremely authoritarian and factionalist. He can't unite people, but he has the New Labour mentality of authoritarianism and micromanagement. As for not understanding why White working class protesters are on the streets and people have rioted, it's because he's a member of the bien-pensant middle class. For decades, racism has been viewed solely as a White problem. James A. Gregor, in his book 'In Search of Neofascism' noted how different sections of the right get lumped together as 'fascist', but this is not done when it is Blacks, even though the literature of Black protest is full of fascistic material. Like way back in 1984, the new Black Labour MP Paul Boateng, made a speech calling for autonomous areas for Blacks, rather like the Muslim idiot who got into the Sunday Times for raising money to set up his own little Muslim theocracy on a Scots island. The establishment hasn't done anything about instances and ideologies like these. It has always looked away, and made matters worse by trying to justify similar policies under the name of anti-racism. Hence Starmer's inability to step beyond identitarianism.
There is no fairness to the British anymore though. We are being treated as second class. I came up with at least 20 examples of this off the top of my head. It isn’t equal we are below. No minority should be persecuted but neither should they be elevated. And this isn’t a single event is it? We now have ridiculous levels of anti British crime on our streets - a lot of us remember it wasn’t like this. We don’t want it - we reject it And the government and all politicians seem incapable of listening AT ALL. It was clear the enforced policing was aimed only at some with preferential treatment given again
The MP should not be an advocate. That was his old job and has no place in the current one. The idea that of the range of opinions the ones you disagree with need suppression and control rather than making an effort to find the common ground is in danger of plunging this country into a terrible situation.
I never wanted him as my leader or the Labour Party. I wanted change which is what we need. Hopefully next time round if more people actually vote. He isn't capable full stop. He is not listening to us, he wants to control us. British values are first and foremost for the good of our country. We are all feeling helpless now. I can't believe people voted for him thinking that things would change for the better.
If more people votes counted then perhaps more people would vote. How many votes did the Fib Dems get compared to Reform and how many seats did they get? I decided for the first time to stop pretending my vote actually mattered and that there was anyone that I would vote for if I did. Our whole political system is a busted flush and needs root and branch reform.
Excellent analysis. Watched his shorter speech today as well, what a disaster! If you watch it sound off, you see he's scared. Dangerous times 😢
He’s a lawyer at heart !!
A lawyer that got the first immigrant full benefits !!
He must be so proud
We've just gone from Regional Manager to Middle Manager. Same firm, same failing management culture.

Spoons are offended.
Starmer only cares about WHO and WEF.
Shamer only cares about WTF?
by design.

I am waiting for martial law.
There are ,of course ,somethings that can't be said.
so I won't say 'em.
Barry for Prime Minister.

Superp take Barry x
He has no skill of statesmanship which is really needed in this situation to acknowledge grief and anger while uniting people.
i doubt 'the relevant' people included a voice saying 'we can't take any more' , in the same way GC voices aren't 'relevant' in any 'trans' debate

The Enlightenment (what great euphemism!) "values" ?? That's why we are where we are!

If it's a really important issue most people will go straight to the middle!
What Keir did make clear was his absolute contempt for anyone disagreeing that mass immigration and multiculturalism are a net good for our society.
Well said!
