I measured -2.7c on the Garmin for quite a long period and that cold just seeps in. I rode along the Bristol to Bath path and looking to my right (Keynsham way) I could see pockets of freezing fog forming which we came into in Bath Easton and rode out of it going up the hill from Bathford to the Golf club at the top. It was so clear up there you could see the lights of Devizes off in the distance. It was an amazing night as it was so clear with a carpet of stars but sooo cold.
Chapeau Richard. That looked and sounded tough.

Would love to ride this event…but alas, work got in the way yet again. Maybe next year. Thanks for sharing. 👍
@@crazypedaller Its a good winter ride with plenty of salted roads, take a day off one year you'll enjoy it.
Well done for completing the event in such challenging cold conditions - lowest temp I’ve seen was -7c 🥶
It was definately type 2 fun
Well done Richard - the temperature profile on Strava looked brutal! I bet it felt even colder than the -4 the Garmin recorded?
Thanks Brian, it was Baltic
Thanks for posting the vid. This ride is on my wish list for 2024. What time was the start?
