    I am surprised how many folks are talking about the nettle. Guys she can only tell based on her experience and based on the book in the description that is safe to use and doesn't cause contractions. But if you're concerned you can double check with your OB/Naturapath or you can omit it for peace of mind.😊
    Also her recipe does not contain red raspberry leaf 🍃

      Thank you Linda! Well said.
      I definitely don’t blindly take any supplement, medication, or herb without knowledge of its purpose and possible side effects. I also don’t know how other people will react to what works for me. So what I choose may not be what another person chooses, and that’s ok. Right now in this country we have the right to choose what goes into our bodies. Let’s hope we keep these valued freedoms, and access to natural remedies. 🤟🏼

    Does your neighbour make the honey or do the poor bees make it....... It's their food after all.

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  Рік тому +13

      You are right. The really are poor bees- they have no money and my neighbor bought and built their bee house, so they kinda owe it to him to make the honey he sells us. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Can’t have freeloading bees!
      They would also be obese if they ate all the honey themselves sooo. Or the honey goes to waste in the hive cause they cannot possibly eat all their food themselves. 🤣 we cannot have freeloading bees- we have enough freeloading liberals.

    Hi Katie! Is the meadowsweet herb or flower (or both)? I'm writing the recipe down and looking at Mtn Rose Herbs. I can't make out the bag in the video. :) Thank you for these recipes!!

      @@RowesRising When I Google nettle tea everything says to avoid it during the first trimester including red raspberry tea what is your take on this?

    I’ve read that nettle leaf promotes uterus contractions. Is this truly safe throughout the entire pregnancy?

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  3 роки тому +7

      Nettle leaf does not cause uterine contractions or I wouldn’t go over 42 weeks pregnant every time. Nettle is great for pregnant women experiencing chronic fatigue and low energy associated with low iron levels. Drinking nettle tea in the weeks leading up to labor can help increase vitamin K levels, which is needed for the blood to clot and to decrease the chance of hemorrhaging.

      I looked up what herbs were sage for 1st trimester of pregnancy and what herbs are beneficial for the childbearing years. Susan Weed has a great book Linked in the video description.

      This recipe does not include RRL!!! You can make an informed choice about the herbs you use. This is what I choose to use per my research and informed choice.

    My wife is about six weeks pregnant. I am wondering why would you say nettle is OK if when I Google nettle and first trimester most things say do not do that. And my second question is red raspberry tea what is your take on that when most of the Internet is saying do not have it during the first trimester

      @@RowesRising Have you had any issues with it? Do you only add a very specific small amount? She really really loves tea and now that she is pregnant about seven weeks she wants to be able to continue having her tea routine nightly but it be something that is completely safe. Would you say through your research it is best to completely avoid red raspberry but when it comes to nettle just do it in small amounts?

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  3 роки тому +3

      I have used this recipe through 5 pregnancies. I referred to Susan Weeds book “Herbal Guide for the Childbearing Year” and from what I understand the amount I use throughout pregnancy poses no risk. It’s quite nourishing.

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  3 роки тому +1

      Likewise you can omit the nettle and the rest is still beneficial and nourishing :)
