Been there last July and it was one of the most magical, mystical and mysterious place at the same time that I’d been to and planning to come back again and again hopefully 😊
In Avranches there is a 'Scriptorium' that holds many of the beautiful old manuscripts that were created by the monks of Mont-St.-Michel. It is a fascinating place to visit after having gone to the Mont, housed in an impressive modern gallery in the heart of the town. Avranches is also well worth a visit on it's own.
Mont Saint Michel is one of the most famous landmarks beside of Notre Dame de Paris and the Eiffel Tower Located a few hours away from Paris. Known for it's Abbey which was built in the 8th and 12th century. Even the region itself Historical place where the Americans came ashored for the first time WW2 You will get a Breathtaking panoramic view when get on top of it. The Disney Movie Tangled actually inspired Mont Saint. The Entire shape it. Not sure it features the Lord of Rings. I think she's referring the Trilogy one Local people claim it to be from Britanny (La Bretagne) I'd say it it belongs to Normandy from Normands 3:18 Tourists
It is an overpriced tourist trap. You have to run the gauntlet to get to the Abbey. We walked from Coutances to MSM, crossing the bay at low tide. It was our second visit and we wanted to stay in the town. Overpriced, awful food and a big disappointment. Yes it is beautiful, yes the new bridge and barrage is great but it is spoiled by the money grabbing. I've been 3 times. I doubt I'll go again.

Very nice video. It is similar to St Michael's Mount in Cornwall.
