Thanks. The Broan site and Amazon both list the BP27 as replacement motor for a Broan 688 bathroom fan. No instructions from Broan about reversing the fan shaft. I've tried removing the covers from the old motor to the new to get the mounting bolts and fan shaft on the same side - but there is too much play in the motor shaft. Thanks for your video and how you fixed the problem. Edit: went back to the old covers and added a couple nuts as spacers. Decided the extra play was not a problem since the fan is mounted in the ceiling and gravity holds the motor shaft in place - the extra play is only a factor in vertical installations. Again, thanks!
