The LTE bars isn’t “for the phone.” The car has its own LTE modem inside of it so it has access to data whether you have a phone or not. Turn off your phone / leave it inside and it’ll still be there.
The armrest tapering to the back is for a safety requirement. In the case of a side impact the door comes in and invades the space inside the cabin, without that tapered armrest the side bolster airbag coming from the seat cannot deploy faster enough and it gets trapped between the door and the B-pillar.

Nice video. A couple of things, though: 1.) There's no leather in the car. 2.) You do get the nav on the driver's display if you set a destination. 3.) Upcoming Track Mode will sort out your turning/accelerating complaints.
Excited to watch this hour long video while I wait for my delivery next month haha (July 2 order for white LR) A few things after watching 1. The hood needs 2 hands to push down. They show this in their videos. Personally I really think it would be powered up and down, and it probably will be in a couple years, but for now you're supposed to put 2 hands down slightly to the left and right of the front center and push down to latch it. No app needed. 2. The vein is on every wheel. Super annoying. Apparently it's for the airbag. 3. You keep mentioning Model S as if it's a totally different thing from the Plaid. The Plaid is literally just a variant of the Model S. There is Model S Long Range and Model S Plaid. The Plaid is the same exact car just quicker. Really wish you spoke about cabin noise! Many people, me included, are getting this car in the hope that it's pretty quiet on the inside. Overall good video. Thanks!
Waiting for my LR next month (maybe), June order! Cabin noise .. this car is supposed to be super quiet compared to M3P 2020 I currently have, very noisy, wind and tire noise. Model S also supposed to have active noise cancellation.
Man The Plaid is Superb in every way and case for many years to come !! No hassle no maintains no repairs no oil change or filters no break down, just pure Joy in every way !!! Also looking very slick elegant I LOVE THE BACK of this car plaid you can sleep easy 2ppl it has a huge space in the back basketball-field :) for the groceries and all other staff. This plaid is so superb and very practical for real man !! Also Elon always push some more power to the plaid it will be faster and even stronger man !!
Thank you again brother. I am thinking about ordering a 22 Model S. I don't need all that PLAID stuff. Your directness and honesty really is important. Don't change. You see a lot of reviews with people just kissing ass and making things seem like they are perfect. Keep it real! I say. I got my 22 VOLVO XC60 POLESTAR edition to kind of break me in to the electric life. I will see how I feel in October before I push the button to get my 22 Model S.
FYI, that "vein" in the center of the steering yoke is on all of them and it's actually the airbag breakaway seam. Nothing's delaminating. It would have been nice if it was straight down the middle, but I assume there's a purpose to the S-curve design. Also, "Wiper On" is accomplished by holding down that spray button and then you will get the other options right from the right hand scroll wheel. One last thing, drag mode is not actually cooling the motors, what it's doing is actually conditioning or warming the batteries. If you've noticed, the car performs better on warmer days. Heated coolant is running through the battery system to get them conditioned for optimal discharge, similar to what happens before you get to a supercharger. I can confirm that nearly every QC complaint you have of the vehicle is on my Plaid as well, so yours is not a fluke. They indeed were all built on a Friday.
Thank you for all the clarification! Ya, I figured out the washer part a couple days after we shot the vid. Part of the overall video was really to see if it’s worth spending the extra $$ on the plaid when you can buy a LR MS and a M3P. Thoughts?
@@ACCELER8TV No problem. My thoughts are there are very few "crazy" people like me that need the all-out acceleration. The LR is the best bang for the buck for most people and it's still a fast car. ...but, I could dump $50k US into a drivetrain and still not be as quick, consistent, and dominant as the Plaid is on the street. To me it's worth the extra $50k ($80k CAD) simply because it buys you the quickest car in the world with a warranty that not even $3 million will buy you. Yes, you can dump $100k into an already expensive GTR or Audi R8, but you will always wonder if the next launch is going to break the drivetrain, and that's what I used to go through. It's a pretty reassuring feeling that I'm driving around in the most unbeatable street car in the world and there's really nothing that can break. Build quality and brakes definitely leave much to be desired, but I've had mine halfway apart, adjusting things on it myself and I can tell you it is engineered very well, better than the competition at the moment. Great review by the way!
The reason you are not getting full power when going into a turn is because, the dynamic stability control will limit power into a turn to maximize control. The steering angle is communicated snd the proper limitations are automatically applied. The amount of torque that could available on a turn at “wide open throttle” would throw you into an undesired path or result in a crash. Disable traction control and disable obstacle aware acceleration. Then give it a shot. Be careful! traction control can give you a false sense of driving ability. When it’s disabled and you need to regain control diapers maybe required.
The one good thing dealerships do is they buy the car, they inspect it, and get paid money for every defect they address. its a revenue stream for them. Tesla obviously doesnt have dealerships... so lost this simple QA step.

First time hearing you don't get full power if steering wheel isn't straight, honestly sounds like a smart idea, these things would be crashing into crowds more than Mustangs.
Interesting Video!👍👍👍 But with switching track mode on, there is nothing to cool down, but instead battery is heated up for best energy flow and max. Power.
Ditch regen braking for factory carbon ceramics all around and give back the normal steering wheel. It doesn't matter how fast a car is if steering and stopping are lackluster.
Had that exact same bump in door weatherstripping. Dealer installed smaller embedded foam rubber pressure pad at the bump location in literally 2 minutes. No big deal , but should have been addressed at factory.

Simply illustrating what a noob like me who just got the car would do!
Movie like. Awesome work.
Well we need one car that’s comfortable to ride in not when you’re speeding and not when you’re on the race track but when you’re going down the interstate and the interstate in California has more holes in it than you have ever seen in your life and so we actually need something that will glide us over the top of it if we could.
First time hearing you don't get full power if steering wheel isn't straight, honestly sounds like a smart idea, these things would be crashing into crowds more than Mustangs.
I've decided to get a mint 560 SEL W126 when I win the lottery. It'll be 30+ years old but will probably outlive all current Teslas.
😂
When I tell you guys how happy I was when I saw the video length? Let’s freaking gooo! ❤️
Great video! Awesome production quality and enjoyable from beginning to start! Great Job!
Very honest video..... I will use this as my aide when I am in the market to purchase my model S. Excellent narrative 👏🏾 👌🏾 ........
Interesting Video!👍👍👍 But with switching track mode on, there is nothing to cool down, but instead battery is heated up for best energy flow and max. Power.
There was no track mode available when this video was shot
Every car has the vein, its a cable to the airbag.
You can adjust cruise distance on the yoke button.
Sorry for all your issues, I hope Tesla makes it right for you. Cheers from California
Are you able to compare your model s with a 2024 S to see if there were any changes
If they incorporate aggressive regen algo WITH the brakes, it should make them feel very responsive
No big deal , but should have been addressed at factory.
.... this video deserves an Oscar. There, I said it.
😂 just practicing for the future.
First time seeing one of your videos. You did a great job of giving an honest review!
Not only was that a good intro, it was good. (Awsome)
