Arguably better known these days for the WarioWare series, our anti-hero Wario started off as the villain in Super Mario Land 2 ( tasvideos.org/4042M ) before starring in his own series of platformers of which this is the fifth (everyone forgets Virtual Boy Wario Land ( tasvideos.org/4052M )).
Through strategic use of save-and-restore and a glitch allowing rapid diagonal movement and zipping, Wario gets away with all the loot in this Hard mode run (the hardest difficulty available from the outset) 22:30.68 faster than before.

Wario's soundbytes in this game never fail to bring a smile to my face, doubly so with the insanely fast gameplay going on here.

This game was really weird but I loved everything about that. That ending was satisfying and surprisingly wholesome. Really hope we get something like it one day.
Wario is my favorite character in the Mario Universe
One of the GBA games with the best soundtracks. Wario games are always gems in that regard.

Interesting. Whenever he enters a level Wario does the "Waaah" scream, except after he's defeated a boss, so it must be a global timer that determines what level entry scream Wario uses since he resets the game after each level and it always takes the same amount of time to re-enter.

No, this is just because a new area was unlocked. If you use codes for unlock all levels, he only scream differently one time, but when you enter in the new areas, he do the waaah scream normally

For some reason, every time Wario resets nanoseconds after hitting the end-level portal, I laugh out loud. Probably for the same reason that insta-quitting in Rocket League, or driving extremely recklessly in American Truck Sim, also makes me laugh. Maybe breaking the norm is just funny to me.

Since games on the game boy are made with C++, if they made more powerful editions of these there could of been a Wario Land 5.

Wario Land 4 is good tas’ed. Kind of curious when there’ll be an S-Hard TAS, if ever. Would definitely be an interesting watch.

Does this TAS have the most resets of them all?
No, for two reasons. One, game restart is not the same as a re-record. And two, some games like The Legend Of Zelda can have re-records that run into the six digits because of the extreme amounts of enemy placement manipulation involved. You're not trying to get the optimal run, you're just looking for the one that loses the fewest frames.

There's no corner on that area. Unless there's a glitch found that it could work on walls, ceilings, and other areas and objects that could make Wario zip like when he's on the ceiling corners.

TAS bot is really smart here holy.. Its doing the same tactic as people who plays Mario Item abuse they throw the enemy and jump into it and what's incredible to me is this is a very old game compared to Mario Item abuse. It just goes to show how computer calculate complex things greater than a human does

I'm not super familiar with wall breaking but let me try to explain. Maps in the gba are built as giant tiles. Unlike some games where you can accidentally warp to the end by tricking the data of the game (i.e. Mario 3) this wall breaking allows Wario to reach the map tile of a different room without having to leave the room he's originally in. I think this is to save time and also allow for some real goofy results.

Does anyone know why he picked up a single CD?
If you're referring to the sapphire passage CD, you have to get that CD in Hard/S-Hard mode, otherwise the CD chest blocks the tunnel to get the chest piece.
