used to play and sing this for my grandma on guitar years ago, she has now passed and this song always makes me think of her. now that i think of it, the context is awkward.
You know a song has achieved that rare and absolutely eatherial beauty when it makes you feel that terribly wonderful and awful feeling, like you have to cry but just can't because you're too happy.
I listen to all their albums 6-7 times a day I adore them. I have Seether shirts, bracelets, and hates and one time I seen them in concert and I cried for months
he reminds me of my little brother. Especially the videos done in Africa live quite a while ago. I think 2010. The one 'the gift' the resemblance is so strong it is almost dejvu .. my brother died from suicide in Jan 2011. So with the mannerisms from watching 'the gift' video live.. it just .. cant put words to it. Maybe find it comforting. It's not just looks, its more the motions and my brother played the guitar as well. Just a beautiful reminder. Thanks Shawn.. it really gives me some sort of peace, my brother was a huge Seether fan before he died, could play any of their songs by ear.. was amazing. Damn I miss him :(
I know this comment was written years ago but I'm sorry for your loss. I hope life is treating you well. I hope you and your family are doing better now. 🤘❤
Then, how many years later and Shaun's brother chose to kill himself? It's so sad but not a sin nor is it meaningly selfish. No "God" of mine would ever punish someone for something they just couldn't handle! Watch the documentary, The Bridge.
That's one thing Ive always had a problem with... My brothers "suicide" was extreme suspect... Since 2 others were in the house when it happened.. Sorry for your loss
I LOVE this video. He is so talented and nice to look at ;) I enjoy the faces he makes while he's singing it's like a cross between Eddie Vedder and Kurt Cobain. It's awesome
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that he is delicious ;) That and he has only gotten better with age!! Love their music as well!! Found out about them when they played with Amy Lee from Evanescence and have been addicted to them ever since.
Words fail me when I try to describe my love for this band. All of the emotions. How they helped me get thru my husbands death. I wanted to die with him. This band saved my life. Why am I crying?
This was my first favorite Seether song and I have to say it's still my favorite after all these years.....Loved that album so much. (Disclaimer) Saw them in 2004 when they toured with Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, and Evanescence. Best concert ever!
Pat yourself on the back for being such a hardcore fan then. I bought Disclaimer in August of 2002 and never knew there was a video for this song until tonight.
Love this song hes with me I've got a lot of scars but still the scars are with me but i can't make them go away but i falling away all of me has scars from a car wreck this song has me to do a lot of thinking..
Ever since i heard this song i have been completely obsessed and in love with it and watching this video reminded me of that... this song will never die... ever.
This is the reason that Sympathetic is in my Top 25 of all time. I cannot even imagine the pain that Shaun goes through every day. I will never again complain about my own.
While I'll admit to being brought on board after hearing "Broken" with Amy Lee, it's by far the least played song by them on my iPod. They put me in a place no band has ever put me. Solace.
Disclaimer is one of the greatest albums EVER made
I agree..
I agree, every song on that record is relatable in some way. I come from the grunge era and I see some of that in Seether and its awsome.
Agree!
Agreed!
You are straight as an arrow's path. Disclaimer AND Disclaimer II.
His voice is so freaking awesome. I love ALL of his music!
Same! ❤

I love it when post grunge bands do emotional rock cuts like this.
"And I'm sympathetic,
never letting on I feel the way I do
As I'm falling apart again at the seam"
It's amazing how different he looks without his moustache o.o
IKR he look like a teenager
he does not even need to look good to get the ladies just needs to sound good
+Chost.Flowers IT IS A AVATAR :OOO
Getting.Sodas I think this is his best look. Really handsome .

Shaun has a gorgeous face and gorgeous voice!

I want to thank seether for all their music it helps me fight my depression.thank you from the bottom of my heart. you keep me going
The scene when the man in the suit walks past the homeless man and sidewalk and looks at him and just walks away is impactful to me
Shaun was so amazing back then and still is today! Seether is one of my favorite bands! His tongue piercing is hot!

I thought this song sounded like something from nirvana.
I like to study mannerisms while watching artist sing and it really does "help to put a sound to it" lol. In my head anyway
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that he is delicious ;) That and he has only gotten better with age!! Love their music as well!! Found out about them when they played with Amy Lee from Evanescence and have been addicted to them ever since.

Damn Dude looks like a baby he to me is one of the world's most beautiful man in the broken category
Heeii Shaun! You looked so much young in 2002 ! :D
Speak from the heart and someone will listen. Do it honestly to your being and soul, and you will speak to many to a desperate to listen.
One of the best bands ever
Lekkkker boys, my fellow South Africans, like me they are from SA
not one dislike for this video just the way it should be FTW SEETHER

I can't believe I never saw this video! It was when I saw the 2002-2013 trailer that I realized something had gone amiss. Lol
the song that got me into rock and metal! forever a favourite :)
Love this song, I've listened to it for 6 years now and if I could have one song to be my anthem to life this would be it
Ach sweet nunu's - He's but a mere baby in this video! Here's to having Seether around for another good many years!
They just make my cry.

I find sean absolutely beautiful and his voice like an angel..delusional, perhaps...I get it I've loved and lost too much, writing my Psalms

all these songs helping me through another hard time.

Second favorite song by them, glad they put this out there this song is beautiful :)
You can tell this is an old song, b/c it has that late 90's/early 00's vibe to the song and video.
For a minute I thought I was the only one that felt that way. Seether is Awesome.
The guys were young in this video. The have gotten even better with age! Thanks for the music guys!!
