How can you tell the size of the spindle 5/8 or 1/2 ? Thanks

If you haven't already figured it out, you measure one of the arbors on your buffer motor. The size of the arbor dictates the size hole you need in the spindle. Could be 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" etc etc. Or it could be metric..
