Oh I absolutely love the host, she's so full of life and energy. Especially her reactions to the spiders she saw, she was in awe and I am living for it!
This is really wholesome and beautiful. I love velvet and ladybird spiders. They're so cute and gorgeous! It's a good thing there are people out there trying to save these little cuties. Good work!
Wow!! And he has a field of lavender and reindeer moss and fern, what a lovely field to forage through for a lovely spider. It's perfect! Living the dream.
I'd love to live near there. lol I live in the British countryside, but we don't have a field like that close to us. We do get the odd jumping spider though. :D
These gorgeous spiders are responsible for ridding me of my spider fear! But I had no idea they were found in England, amazing. I've only been aware of the Gandanameno from Africa and the ones in Greece. The more the better far as I'm concerned! What an amazing person this man is to be breeding them in captivity and then setting them back into the wild. How can you not fall in love with those faces? I'm feeling emotional now. Thank you so much! 💖💖
Those gorgeous spiders were amazing, it is great to see dedicated conservation work on these spiders amongst many other species. We need more people like these.
We found this spider here living in Greece (syros). We just found this video when we were looking up info on it. Grateful for programs like this to help educate us and our kids.

Wow, bring some to the US!!!! I know a few people who would probably be interested in breeding them. I would love to have a couple myself. So beautiful 😻. Tyfs God bless you
This was truly an amazing video. I have finally been able to see what their natural habitat is like. I have also realized that most, if not all of the keepers of this spider have the wrong set up. Giving it more of a tarantula set up with a more dry setting and no vegetation. Although I'm sure the vegetation is not a must. It's the dry, coco fiber and bark only set up seems unnatural. Anyways thank you for sharing this!
This is not a spider to have in captivity. Truly one of the many wonders of Heathland biodiversity and should flourish if Heathland environments continue to be preserved.
Different species, This one is from the U.K which prefers a more humid environment, a lot of different species of Velvet spider people keep tend to come from more Arid or dry regions.
I fear for these spiders. Here in Dorset during the summer months, kids often start fires on the heathland 'for fun' causing the emergency services to scramble. Large areas of heath are often lost.
thankfully they are in an area the public do not have access too, and isn't one often traversed, plus kids would have to walk miles to reach this one without a car taking them there.
Let us spider collectors have some. Breeding is our pleasure and we do everything possible to keep our spiders alive and well. I would love to have this species. Adorable!
Afraid the exact locations are kept secret to protect the species as they are very vulnerable to footfall. There is an information centre and kids activity section about the spiders at RSPB Arne Nature Reserve

They are one of the cutest spiders. 3rd place in my mind. 1st is the giant huntsman spider and the jumping spider is in second. Just how I think!
Super interesting! And I like the atmosphere in this documentary :).
Ahhhhmazing work guys! I love spiders 😲😍

Once again, good humans trying to overcome the challenges created by bad humans.
Are they part of the jumping spider family?
No they are the only UK member of the Eresidae or Velvet spiders family
I thought they were called velvet spiders
Don't worry they only stood on half of them they will bounce back
Looks more like a velvet spider
I asume that its non venomous
👟💥🕷️ Oops, I extincted it
This woman is amazing 😍 how many woman would even look for a spider let alone hold one.

Wow, I hate spiders, but this one is really cute ! 🖤🌹🕷
Are ladybird spiders allowed to be kept as pe
Short answer is no. There habitat needs would not really be suitable to captive living either
Yes they can I have one :)
She's pretty. The spider looks ok too.
So where’s his contact info?!?!?!
How does a spider become endangered 🤔
Destruction of its habitat for forestry, farming and settlements.
Fun fact: those spiders would eat you if they knew could.
So would most carnivorous untamed animals.
Sorry I meant pets
