What lovely relaxing walk, also I find I have more trouble with inquisitive horses then I do from cows. A lovely walk in the Cotswolds is from the small village/hamlet of Buckland not far from Broadway along the Cotswold escarpment heading south, you Turn off left onto the Winchcombe way for a while before Turing off down hill to wood Stanway and make your way along the footpaths threw fields and villages back to Buckland, lovely views and around 7.5 miles.
Hi TheLloydA1, the farm animals and the wild animals on our walk was amazing. We had a fabulous time down there and even managed to film Ratty. We are always looking out for new walks to film away from home and we are grateful that you have pointed this one out and 7.5 miles is a good sized walk to film. Thank you all the best The Taxi Driver
Hello hesmanification, it has been our pleasure to make these beautiful videos of hidden villages in the Cotswolds. We have already got a couple planned there for next year. Another video that is very beautiful but that needs editing is Castle Combe in the Cotswolds, we will hopefully be uploading this in the next few weeks. We also have four more beautiful walks to edit in the timeless New Forest where one afternoon in the heat we stopped at an old disused railway station, took our backpacks off and sat down to have a cream tea, we couldn't believe what we were doing in the middle of our walk but the place looked so inviting and we have never had one before. Thank you for your comment all the best The Taxi Driver
the england of my teens and early 20,s before i left. i come back once a year and go on a ramblers holiday but they are getting expensive. love your videos.
Hi Margaret. We find the Cotswolds a wonderful place and we still have a lot more to discover there, but Bibury was just out of this world. We think exactly the same that everywhere is getting more expensive so we tend to go away Monday to Friday where you can get some great last minute deals. We hope to be back down there this summer filming more beautiful hidden villages. All the best The Taxi Driver
Hi 1101, we've had a great year with the heatwave in England which has allowed us to film all summer. Because we have been away a lot the editing of the videos has got behind but now winter is here we are starting to catch up and get the videos on most weeks. We have ten to edit so that will certainly keep us busy over the bad weather. Nice to hear from you again, all the best The Taxi Driver
Hello John and Janice, Beautiful countryside ! The stare-downs with the cows is hilarious... they are a formidable presence for sure ! Love the pond with the waterlilies . Amazing that you spotted a water vole !!! No doubt about it...you have the eyes of an eagle ! Quite a show with the partridge scuffle - laughing out loud ! Truly, Bibury is the most beautiful village ever . Thank you so much for this wonderful video.!!! All the best, Andrea
Thank you Andrea, the wildlife were certainly the stars on this video and we had a good laugh several times as we edited it. Next year when we go back down on a hot summers afternoon we are going to visit Bibury Trout Farm and we think this might just have a few surprises for us. After our next video we will be in the Cotswolds again in another olde-worlde village called Castle Combe. But our next video is in the Yorkshire Dales where we come across an old Preceptory once used by the Knights Templer who fought two crusades in the Holy Land back in the middle centuries. All the best John and Janice
thetaxidriverj -- I have been watching your video clips for about 4 years now. I'd like to THANK you for these videos that open the world of James Herriot for me (he is my favourite writer) as well as many other places of rough and yet beautiful English countryside. And I'd like to apologize for not writing a a single comment or words of gratitude during these years. Trust me, I have always checked and waited for move clips from you :') I am from Ukraine and we have quite a different nature here so I do hope my dreams of visiting England and especially North Yorkshire will come true one day. And your videos will be my incentive for getting there soon! Thank you!
Thank you Art. With having such a wonderful summer this year we've been able to do a lot of filming in the Yorkshire Dales. We've come across hidden valleys, rivers and waterfalls and even young birds of prey in the nest. We have been lucky enough to stop a couple of times in Askrigg in the Yorkshire Dales. The pub in the centre of the village was where the actors stayed while filming the James Herriot series All Creatures Great and Small. All the walls are covered in pictures of those happy days. We have made a big effort this year to make films in this area, especially around Hawes which is one of our favourite places. As we make our way up into the Dales my wife Janice map reads for me so allows me to make the film. As we are out filming we always appreciate the timeless beauty of the Dales. We also hope you are able to come over here one day to enjoy our fabulous county. From one James Herriot fan to another all the best The Taxi Driver.
@@thetaxidriverj Thank you very much man! Appreciate your detailed response and will do my best to see these beautiful places. Somehow I feel positive I will make it happen one day :')
Hi Margaret we are used to being with farm animals but we can understand how intimidating it can be. We just pay attention, keep our distance if necessary and do not approach from behind. But cows are always very curious. All the best The Taxi Driver
