  • This is where the very First Battle of the Philippine Revolution happened, in a gunpowder depot named "El Polvorin" in San Juan Del Monte, infamously known as the Battle of San Juan del Monte or Battle of Pinaglabanan. Despite the defeat of the Katipunan, the battle in San Juan del Monte inspired and signaled other nearby towns to fight.

    I'm still curious to this day. What rifles did the Spanish use and the katipuneros stole from the Spanish?
    If we date back some rebellions like the Dagohoy rebellion, the Spanish were still using muzzleloading muskets. Fast forward to 1896, did they use bolt action rifles or percussion cap muzzleloading muskets?

    the reinforcement of Spanish was from iloilo.ilonggos soldiers training ground in plaza lebertad .etc many to mention.thats why Iloilo before a queen city of the south because Iloilo considered as a adopted city of the Spain's queen..but now Cebu was the queen city of south economically proclaimed ..but that title was not based on economy when it gave to iloilo.

      The twin battle of Binakayan-Dalahican (November 9-11, 1896)
      Battle of Alapan (May 28, 1898)
      These are some of the battles where the Filipino revolutionaries won.

    It is curious to see the difference in treatment between the Asian area and America
    (although in some aspects similar) and how difficult it was for the crown of castilla (Spain) to achieve that its laws to prevent the finding of slaves, mistreatment, etc. against x (native groups, mestizos, etc.), partly because said laws they do not benefit the wealthiest who in turn had influence in local governments (viceroys of the viceroyalties)

For example three carlists wars and a cantonal war (this one consist in profederalized republic of Spain and happen something weird. One of those cantons asked to USA to annexed them at the same time that they declared war to Germany)

      At their last bastion in Manila. The gov-gen was asking Spain that they will surrender to the Filipinos as they have taken most of the Ph islands already. I remember reading the telegram of it somewhere before.
      Though Spain told them to wait until that famous even happened.
