The Very First Battle of the Philippine Revolution
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 жов 2024
- This is where the very First Battle of the Philippine Revolution happened, in a gunpowder depot named "El Polvorin" in San Juan Del Monte, infamously known as the Battle of San Juan del Monte or Battle of Pinaglabanan. Despite the defeat of the Katipunan, the battle in San Juan del Monte inspired and signaled other nearby towns to fight.

Even though Philippines lost at the very first battle of the Philippine Revolution, you can still see that they did their best to achieve our freedom.
And it's emilio aguinaldo won it.
Yeah... I doubt that. You became an US Colony after the revolution
Not so free now when you're all buried in debt.
@@theploot8230better than to be oppressed and be recognised as only a colony
Spanish reinforcements comprised of Filipino soldiers.
That right there is Filipino history.
That my brother is perhaps also the history of India that is Bharath
And that is the history of every colony even in Morocco they forced men to join the colonizer army
@M00nChxld Not the aztecs the other natives willingly helped bring down the Aztecs with the Spanish there was more natives fighting the aztecs then the Spaniards
Even today , we Filipinos can't get along with each other
Roman history lol, always betraying and killing each other
no matter if its in indonesia, malaysia or the philipines, the bamboo spear is always there🤣
Bamboo spears can pierce through armour thats why and its hella scary and sharp
Imagine painting/drawing in the middle of the night because of the beautiful scenery and then you heard some faint but loud approaching screams running footsteps and shouts from the grasses and trees 💀
That be spooky and kinda epic to hear xD
They just lost the element of surprise
THE TREES ARE SPEAKING TAGALOG
This is an iconic story line:
The battle has ended in defeat.
But the war has just begun.
Spaniards may won the battle but can they win the war

This is why I should know about the history as a Filipino 😄🇵🇭 Proud to be pinoy

Saklap kahit nuon pa talaga kapwa na natin pilipino Ang gustong magpa bagsak satin...
It was their duty as subjects of Spain... Its like Muslims fighting against muslims in Mindanao now if you think hard about it.
Hindi, ang nagpabagsak tlga sa tin eh ang katagang ito: "Trabaho lang, walang personalan"

The muslim vs muslim in Mindanao is basically the same where the muslims filipinos fights those muslims who doesn't see themselves as Filipino.

KATIPUNAN,
They were not rebels, i rather call them " "FREEDOM FIGHTERS"
HEROES, MAHARLIKANS!
Brave, very brave using only bolo knives and spheres against riffles. Salute to brave Filipinos of katipunan.

Spanish reinforcement comprised of Filipinos.? Ganito na talaga ang pilipino, nuon pa.

Yeah they were filipo but me I never called my self a Filipino cause I'm pure blood Igorot that's why Spain did never conquer us my home land

Could have gotten away with it.. if they just kept thier mouth shut while inching thier way to the fortress.
If i remember from history Filipino weapon were sword and the enemy was guns
They took guns
Whoever wants to conquer our land dont be too relax because we will never sleep till we get our freedom

I love how english speakers talk about freedom here not knowing anything at all XD The revolution ended up being a traps set up by united states, the revolutionary president Emilio Aguinaldo would regret getting independence from spain saying the same thing;and let's not forget the spanish speaker filipino genocide commited by them, the 2nd one after the one commited by japanese
I'm still curious to this day. What rifles did the Spanish use and the katipuneros stole from the Spanish?
If we date back some rebellions like the Dagohoy rebellion, the Spanish were still using muzzleloading muskets. Fast forward to 1896, did they use bolt action rifles or percussion cap muzzleloading muskets?
Imagine sleeping in the Philippines as an American in August 29 1896 then waking up your house turned into ashes
As though I’m a Spanish I’m no hate for the Philippine
It is what it is, its not the citezens of your country, but the past government.
Imagine Just chilling at night after finishing your dinner then seeing Hundreds of people holding a Red Flag with KKK with them holding bamboo spears and Knives. then seeing your Reinforcement Started Blasting at you 💀
the reinforcement of Spanish was from iloilo.ilonggos soldiers training ground in plaza lebertad .etc many to mention.thats why Iloilo before a queen city of the south because Iloilo considered as a adopted city of the Spain's queen..but now Cebu was the queen city of south economically proclaimed ..but that title was not based on economy when it gave to iloilo.
Filipino never won a battle against enemy who invade them it's still mystery why because they have the advantage i think the reason is the traitor imagine how advance USA compared to Vietnam but they still won it's because of loyalty that Filipino don't have
Lol! Are your sure they never won a battle? I suggest you read more history.
Battle of Imus (September 1-3, 1896)
The twin battle of Binakayan-Dalahican (November 9-11, 1896)
Battle of Alapan (May 28, 1898)
These are some of the battles where the Filipino revolutionaries won.

It is curious to see the difference in treatment between the Asian area and America
(although in some aspects similar) and how difficult it was for the crown of castilla (Spain) to achieve that its laws to prevent the finding of slaves, mistreatment, etc. against x (native groups, mestizos, etc.), partly because said laws they do not benefit the wealthiest who in turn had influence in local governments (viceroys of the viceroyalties)
What bothers me is, it took 300 yrs for us to be awaken.

Why those Filipinos who join as a Guardia civil and serve the Spanish was not branded as traitors instead an innocent Igorot that the Americans ask for direction was branded as traitors. Battle of Antipolo Isa sa naipanalo ni Andres Bonifacio
Bonifacio allows his men to fight only with bolos and spears? No wonder he got kick out of the Katipunan upon the recommendation of some of his officers.
history is boring.. please remove this subject in college courses
Ito ang patunay kung bakit mas gusto ko si Aguinaldo kaysa kay Bonifacio. Puro tactical Blunder si Bonifacio.

'cause Bonifacio was betrayed, there never got their reinforcements pushing them too deep in the mountains then many of the nearby barangays push through

We lived in San Juan del Monte/San Juan city we actually named a street called pinaglabanan st it's close to the municipal hall
We dont have this kind of patriotism anymore.
Most of the pinoys I know have completely lost their national pride and some completely down play the nations achievements like that would never happen in Mongolia where I'm from
Most of the Filipinos don't care about the history and they idolize other races and are ashamed of their own identity
We’re gonna have to look up on modern day heroes and gallants more often

This failed because the leaders were late.
The Spanish still were never going to give up their last remaining colonies and it took the US for the Spanish to surrender.
Kinda not true.
At their last bastion in Manila. The gov-gen was asking Spain that they will surrender to the Filipinos as they have taken most of the Ph islands already. I remember reading the telegram of it somewhere before.
Though Spain told them to wait until that famous even happened.
