Great version. It's been more than 40 years since I last heard this on a cassettetape with original fifties rock 'n' rollers playing live in the early seventies that a classmate had. I didn't meet any of his original stuff such as Red Hot until the late eighties when I borrowed a compilation album of his old hits in the local library.
So many different versions of that can be found in the song, I wonder when usually you find it? Glad you liked about that song. Greetings from Finland!
I agree that Billy’s era in late 60s (1965-1970) was pretty wierd, because very few songs are actually good! Others are so so. But these were also the last years he was making music full time! He quit music business for twenty years throughout 70s and 80s. Came back in 1992 together with his “comeback” album Blue Collar Blues. I guess Billy’s 50s stuff definitely wins!
Its actually from the Live at the Whisky A Go Go in 1966 I got this record in pristine shape and still sounds damn good!!
Indian Navajo, his music have on this song a different touch. I like this song for... 45 years. I found it at home, on a vinyl of my father.
