Welcome to the Kings maan!!!!!! Can't wait to see u playy
Hustle player with good instincts and grew up around NBA basketball who's only getting better at scoring. Not to mention he balled out at the combine. People will look back in 5 years and be mad their team passed on him.
I think he'll be really good. Should return lottery value or thereabouts. Teams like Philly or Miami would love Carter.
Sixers fan here would be perfect to pair up with Maxey.
Thank you Devin Carter! He’s willed Providence to where it is. I hope he have an amazing career, and I trust he will have an amazing career. He works so hard, and can improve on the few things he’s bad at. He might take some bad shots, but he also does so much good for providence. His shots fall when they seem like they’re not supposed to. So I want the best for him, and I will be a fan of whatever team he’s on. Go Providence! #Mindset
Nice words.
Whats about his shooting form? looks not good actually
@@rummellude He is not a good shooter (despite his good three-point percentage).
I'm hoping he has a great career too. Thanks for watching!
MINDSET
Dude plays defense should be top 10 off that alone
One of the best two-way guys in the class, but I like him more in the top 20 for now. Thanks for watching!
He’s a bust
@Jhghjki Yeah, A Bust'in a Nut on yo forehead for talking stupid.
Nice analysis as always!
Thanks!
Great draft profiles. Hopefully you do a Stephon Castle draft profile soon.
Yessir, coming real soon.
This guy was made to play for the Heat even though I’d like them to go for someone with more upside I feel like he’s their most likely pick
I've said it in other comments, but I appreciate Carter's fit with Miami and it'd finally give the team more of a younger (but still experienced) guard. I also like him for the Pelicans, Sixers, or Knicks.
76ers fit would be amazing
@@TheTrueAnswer Would be a nice fit next to Maxey in particular imo
He’s going to be a great fit, once start being more efficient with his 3’sots over, a star in the making
It's a shame that we won't see him in Summer League as he recovers from a shoulder injury.
If The Miami Heat Trade For Another Draft Pick, I Want Them To Draft Zach Edey & Devin Carter Or Jared McCain In The First Round & Draft Justin Edwards In The Second Round, Zach Edey Is A Great Fit Next To Bam Adebayo & Devin Carter Or Jared McCain Is A Great Fit Next To Terry Rozier And Patty Mills, And Justin Edwards Is Also A Great Fit At Shooting Guard For The Heat Culture And A Great Tyler Herro Replacement 🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯😎😎😎
I like the Carter fit in Miami for sure.
Sixers must get him to pair with Maxey, the kid is special
I really like that fit. Otherwise, I also like McCain for the Sixers but Carter has the advantage that he plays so much bigger.
Heck of a finisher. If Killian Hayes could finish at the rack like that, he would still be in the NBA. This guy is an 8 to 10 year professional.
Bookmarked.
I agree he projects as someone who’ll have a long NBA career. Thanks for watching!
Nah he’s a bust
@@2024nbadraft oh, no
@@mbwell I think he’s a bust my gut is telling me this
In offense I'm getting Aaron Holiday trying to do too much vibes from his clip, though he seems like a tenacious defender. Probably a team like Magic or 76ers will draft him.
I think Carter will benefit from a more scaled down offensive role in the NBA, but he has some upside with his athleticism, potential shooting, and toughness. If his 3-pointer falls back to below average, that’ll be a problem. I have much fewer doubts about him on defense.
Who doesn’t need a Josh hart type on there team
After the way he tested at the combine, he’s going to be a lottery pick for sure.
He's right in that late lotto range right now, but I actually think his best fits are right after the lottery to either Miami or Philly. Thanks for watching!
Miami Heat 🔥💪
I could see this happening. Has roots there too.
I want the Grizzlies to take him at 9
Knicks need him!He is a thibs guy
New York is one of my favorite landing spots for Carter!
Be a nice fit on Orlando magic with Franz Wagner and Paolo banchero
He'd be a solid fit, though I wonder whether his three-pointer can be truly trusted. If not, then the Magic are getting yet another ballhandler who can't space the floor. Still, I like Carter in Orlando, though not as much as some other teams.
He would excel next to Fox and monk
Loved this pickup for the Kings.
He just screams, being one of the best POA defenders in the NBA.
If his playmaking is his biggest weakness as a guard, so basically, he just needs to be paired with allstar guard or big that has most of the attention or be in a great system that doesn't require him being the lead initiator.
I must say, as a Mavericks fan. He'll definitely benefit playing next to Luka. Carter will definitely have highest quality shots here in Dallas lol
I agree with everything you said. One note to add on top of this - I think these sorts of "third guard" or off-ball combo prospects are going to become much more prevalent to complement the bigger, primary initiator wings that are commonplace in the NBA (think Doncic but also the likes of Jayson Tatum, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, LeBron, you could say Shai because of his size...)
@@FloorandCeiling I agree. And I was thinking his best comparison is Marcus smart who was very successful playing with the Celtics, playing next to Tatum 👀
And seeing more of his physical traits, Carter seems more athletic, fast, has longer wingspan, on top with his great rebounding. I think he can be better than Smart!
@Frank-hv7xj Carter has more potential than Smart as a scorer too. Would love him with San Antonio.
I didn't see him play much this year. Did he have a noticeable improvement after Bryce got injured.
Became more of a focal point for Providence
What team do you think suits him the best?
Knicks, Sixers, Thunder.
@@FloorandCeiling HEAT*
@@Peace-mk4zkSuits them too.
Spurs
@Mandozen Heard he'd not a great 3 point shooter and isn't a great passer. With that said pretty sure Pop would love his hustle.
Please do Zvonimir Ivisic
Stay tuned. If he declares for the draft, I’ll have a video on him!
@@FloorandCeiling that’ll be a while. He’s worth a look even if just for the views you’ll get. Search his name. Ppl want to see him. Those vids have views
Ivišić announced that he is transferring to Arkansas to reunite with coach John Calipari.
I absolutely do not trust his ability to shoot off the dribble, and he's especially suspect in the mid-range suggesting it's a bit of an overhand touch/rhythm thing. I think he's a pure C&S guy at the NBA level who will likely get a good amount of open looks and will shoot around 35% in the league. I see a Craig Porter Jr. type of player, with the upside to be a Marcus Smart level defensive guard if he can improve his handle and playmaking ability. I strictly see him as a late first early 2nd type of prospect, personally I much prefer what Trey Alexander offers as a more versatile and effective offensive threat on top of the fact that Trey is also a pretty good defender as well.
I agree with your concern. Like I mentioned in the video, it's not easy to trust that Carter will shoot from deep in the high 30s rather than in the low 30s, plus he's not reliable from the midrange at all.
Still, he's a willing and versatile shooter who has enough athleticism and toughness to hold up offensively, while having a real option at translating defensively and with some rebounding and switchability. That puts him in my top 20.
He does not handle the ball well. He is not a good shooter (despite his good three-point percentage). He doesn't make, many times, the best decisions.
But, always in my team.
This kid is pure intensity, he doesn't sit still for a second.
A worthy son of his father (Anthony Carter), a street player as a teenager, but with 13 seasons in the NBA (and 7 uncles in prison).
Devin Carter is definitely someone his teammates should love to play with. The key for him, I think, will be making sure he stays in the mid/high 30s from three, rather than the low 30s. If he can manage that, then he can push the ball in transition, drive against scrambling defense, cut into open spaces, rebound the hell out of the ball, etc.
sixers?
Would be a great fit. I like him or McCain for Philly.
I don't think he gets past 12 in this draft
Thanks for watching. It’s really starting to feel that way.
I see an NBA player in there somewhere. He just looks like he belongs.
I have Carter circling around the back end of the lottery and he is definitely in my top 20.
DNP - NIT team knocked out by natural rival. Presence missed, team highly pressured.
It looks like he has many con than pros😂
Think the Heat could draft him in that 15-18 area
Would be a great pick-up. It's a fit I like for Carter. Plus, he went to high school in Miami-Dade County and his dad, Anthony Carter, played for the Heat and later became a player development coach for the team.
With Caruso's departure, the Bulls could select Carter with pick 11.
It's feasible, we'll see what happens tonight...
