I’m glad headswapping is possible in case one day I actually manage to find both versions
Seriously… the normal head would look great on the chase body.
Glad you were able to get this figure in your collection. Thanks for clarifying that this is an homage to the Toybiz DC Super Heroes. I hope McFarlane gives us all the figures in this style to appeal to the nostalgia of the adult collector. I feel even getting a white Man-Bat would be an appropriate way of updating him in a fun color that allows him to fit in with the retro repaints.
I guess I can see it! I still like the first edition but this one is "cool" no pun intended also!! Great videos also like always sir!
Switching headsculpts would make this pop even more imo.
it would be really nifty if they started doing retro super powers carded 7 inch figures with classic paint apps like hasbro does with legends
Nice one 👍 👌
Thanks for the review. Need to see a head swap!
Dammit I wish this one wasn't Platinum I want it even more than regular version 🥶
Do you know when you’ll be doing some more dc multiverse videos?
Kalibak comes in from Target next week, so sometime then
@@ToyShiz passing on the bafs?
"Platinum" meaning: At the comic book shop for $59.99.
I remember having the color-changing Toy Biz version which was in itself a reissue of the Super Powers figure from the '80s.
Toy-Ception
Cool
MacFarlane is putting out much more interesting and better sculpted figures than Marvel Legends. Marvel Legends is boring and uninspired; not to mention way overpriced.
A lot of people prioritize articulation over sculpting though. Personally I could never get into McFarlane figures because they feel like glorified statues. They’re called “ACTION figures” for a reason; if I can’t get them into dynamic action poses, then what’s the point?
@@juansanchez209 they're not even glorified statues lol
@@juansanchez209 they look like superheroes , not like guys in cosplay.
@@JustinTyme33 I’m not going to argue with you about that. Even a blind man can see that McFarlane figures LOOK better than Marvel Legends lol. But that’s just it: I don’t care if they look a MILLION times better than Marvel Legends, I’ll never support the line as long as the articulation considers to be a mediocre afterthought. I, and a lot of other adult collectors, heavily prioritize articulation and that will always be the factor that o weigh most heavily in my figure collecting. You’re not objectively right and I’m not objectively right; it’s just a matter of different philosophies when it comes to collecting
In my experience, several of the mcfarlane figures that I have bought have felt like a mcdonalds toy in terms of quality. I have had bad experiences with marvel legends too, with some feeling like literal rubber. I love/hate my symbiote spidey for that reason. For me, the only big thing holding them back is the proportions. Some of them look great, but most are a joke. I like mcfarlane figures, but omg they need to take a step back and just put some effort into a figure, and there would be no comparison.
The one that looks like he borrowed Lex's power suit and repainted it. Classic look.
A head swap would be amazing
Then it wouldn’t be super powers
@@ToyShiz eh I don't want to be a Negative Nancy but half The McFarlane lines are done so bad. 3inch punchers would be sooo better if they were 4 inch and were up to par with marvel universe or retro star wars. The 7 inch page punchers repeat the comic book throughout the wave. The super powers line, their quality is worst than the spin toys line. Man ugh... How amazing D.C would be id they just fixed the small things.
By the time realized this existed it was gone..even the McFarlane page is gone. Was never even advertised on his Facebook page
That’s why they call it a chase figure. It’s supposed to be hard to get..
That’s the FUNKO pops taking
I personally don’t like the head color on this version but everything else is nice
Looks good, another great review. I like the classic look. It pairs well with the blue Batman. I hope McFarlane continues to do variants of other figures .
I think you cracked the code for that joker and mallet. Thats def coming up
