Well all depends on the contract details, if mcfarlane made a deal with a factory to do mega figs at only 8 or 9 inches, then you can't expect it to be beyond that. It's much like when DCUC from mattel did an Anti-Monitor BAF wave, he was the same size as every other BAF lol maybe 8 inches and regular characters were 6 inch. I wish we would have had that one to compare.
Impressive i do feel like its done the comic justice but the size is a lot smaller than i thought it be i was expecting more swamp thing size , i love you using them page punchers that made it look perfect!
I wish he was bigger at least make him 12 inches since he's undersized next to DC Multiverse figures. I honestly would make him scale with Mezco figures tbh also I agree some fist and energy effects would be cool. Hopefully Mcfarlane makes a Quarter scale figure of this with more accessories since would love a big and beefy figure of him since he's supposed to destroy all of the multiverse
This figure really does step right out of the comic book. Great accuracy to the character's design. I agree that this figure should come with additional hands and effects to show off his powers, considering its $40 price tag. As always, a great review Toyshiz!
Well, it's like this, if mcfarlane only has a contract with a factory which states all mega figs be 8-9 inches, then we can't expect this to be much taller. It's like when we had the baf version from mattel's DCUC line, that antimonitor was the same size as every other baf while all other figures were just 6 inches. I wish we had a comparison between those two!
I'm curious how he scales with the collect and connect version. I have that version (somewhere in storage) and wonder if there is any reason to get this figure... mind you, I'll probably get it anyway, but curious about the scale and sculpt differences.
When you said crotch pocket I heard it to the tune of the Hot Pockets jingle. Digging that McFarlane is finally getting to classic DC characters. I'm hoping to see them tackle some of the Grant Morrison era JLA characters.
I hope that Todd McFarlane's team would work on a Gigantic Anti Monitor figure that is similar to the Haslab Galactus. it would be one of the most epic figures they have ever created. I hope it comes with energy blast accessories and other things that make Anti Monitor the Anti Monitor. Also, given that McFarlane follows the 7 inch scale, it can potentially be larger than the Haslab Galactus.
Well your making me feel better for preordering it. I do like the cyber tube action like Superboy Prime. I don't have any of the little page punchers but you could definitely make a cool display with this.
As far as a larger height and availability, an Spinmasters 12 inch Anti-Monitor would be nice. Now i don't know if Imaginext still has the license for DC, but they also like to do really tall figures so they could also do an Anti-Monitor that reaches the desired height as well. It would look really cartoony due to their desired target audience, but i wouldn't mind.
I've seen people pose their Haslab Galactus with Heroclix figures--I assume you could do the same with this guy to make him feel big and imposing. I personally laughed at the thought of having him tower over my Figuarts Ultraman figures with the city dioramas. Also I was surprised there wasn't a comparison with the collect-n-connect DCUC Anti Monitor figure. Luckily they are different versions of the character so I can justify to myself to hold onto that figure in my collection. 😅
McFarlane should this kinda of thing more, make figures with their looks as in the box art. Wish they give mega figs something extra, extra hands or effects or stuff
It looks nice, but selecting this character for a figure seems pointless if it's not planned as part of a wave that includes other characters from the story that showcased him as the main antagoonist. I don't want to buy an Anti-Monitor, if they won't release a Monitor, a Pariah, a Harbinger, a Psycho Pirate, and a Lady Quark.
Thanks, you convinced me to cancel my preorder. This guy doesn't look like that much of an upgrade from the DCUC cnc Anti-Monitor figure so I don't need him for full price. I'll play the waiting game and hopefully get him some day on sale or on clearance, thanks for saving me some money!!
This is some marvel legends level of quality, shame on you Mcfarlane. Funny thing is, this unpainted small figure is still cheaper and 10x the quality of what marvel legends pumps out.
You know if they want to do a variant flash, they could do a skeleton turning to dust, berry Allen figure. Same body new head and hands, add some speed force effects so you can recreate his sacrifice with anti monitor.
For 40 I would have been ok with it not having any accessories if it was like 12 inches tall…. I’m liking the classic look but otherwise it’s one of the more underwhelming Mega-Figs so far….
I REALLY wanted Mcfarlane to do a Haslab esque campaign for a Haslab Galactus sized Anti Monitor but this will do for now! It looks great.
I wouldn’t even have the opportunity to get him if that was the case
@@redreploid1713 why not?

Not everyone can get something as big and expensive as a haslab.

This guy always looked weird as hell to me, they definitely nailed it. 1:35 😂
"Crotch pocket" is a hilariously better name for the diaper.

Figure looks great! Classic George Perez style. A little dry brushing or a wash and it'll look perfect.
Lyle from figure file’s is right Todd needs a Ruler to help him figure out scaling

You got me with that force perspective joke!
OMG! OMG! Wherever did you get that The Ray figure???

@asokathegeek showed em. They clock in at the same height

Well
This one sold terribly, so that won’t be happening any time, ever.
Wow look good and different from mattel series
Daaaamn this feels more like a DC essentials figure!!
Looks good. I’ve been on the fence but liking it now. Do you have the old Matty Collector line baf version for comparison?
I don’t have that one unfortunately
@@ToyShiz no problem thanks
Needs some paint on the yellow.

Superboy Prime may be a jerk, but that’s why I love him!
I actually thought he was 24 inches tall lol
I would’ve absolutely loved a deteriorating Flash head sculpt

My thoughts exactly
He would look much better with spin masters scale
I’d say more super impulse worlds smallest scale figures.
@@ToyShiz what’s that? Also, another good choice in my opinion would be the Mattel 4 inch figures from back in the day
I'm still waiting for a Lucifer figure though...
Looks so cool!! Hopefully they do a World Forger fig as well now
Jokerized version coming soon lol
Don’t given any ideas

It would have been cool if they would have done one the size of Hasbro’s Galactus
How much you wanna pay for that? $250-$300 anti monitor? I’m good
Doritos hands we need
his eyes trigger me.

Not that much of dc fan to buy this ,one of the few mega figs I don’t want
Blue plastic, yellow plastic, silver plastic and a little paint on the face. This figure looks super cheap
And yet he still looks accurate
2:29 wth that's his mouth? I thought those were his teeth 😂 either way this character looks goofy
The answer is in the video
It is missing accessories.
Which ones? Can you elaborate?

Yeah, I don't like the character design
Size sucks SO hard. Huge disappointment.
