I find it interesting that you mentioned "losing people" because of the changes you will make to your content and in my opinion that‘s just you setting boundaries for yourself in order to thrive in this hobby. Yeah, you're not alone. I watched a documentary last night about UK cost of living crisis and I feel so silly to have two bags on the way, even if they're only "inspired". It's okay though. We're learning, we have more than enough, and it's time we use our talents and gifts for more. Fashion and style and aesthetic is fine, they're not criminal. Things have changed and we're being challenged by God to focus.

We are so blessed, there are so many people struggling here in the US as well. I’ve bought several luxury items this year and none of them have made me “happier”. It was like “ok what’s next”. That’s how I knew they didn’t/wouldn’t fill me up like traveling with my family or friends.

Then, the pandemic happened and everything just fell apart afterwards. Now we are at different points of references and figuring what is important to us as a family. You really highlight the experience. It's like I'm shopping with you, and I think that's a strong point of your content.

Over the years I've bought many things inspired by those older vids-- Louboutin Anjalina and Paloma + wallet, Hangisi pumps, mini lady Dior, Sophia Webster heels, and Alexander McQueen scarf. Sophie, I appreciate your video! I’ve been feeling this way too for about a year! I purchased my first home last year and have a new appreciation for my disposable income. I also moved from Los Angeles to a small town in the mountains where no one really has luxury purses, sunglasses, etc. and it really made me realize how living in Los Angeles my entire life had “influenced me” and placed a “luxury choke-hold” truly because most people have luxury items everywhere you go. It took me leaving that environment to realize that material things are simply not very important to me. Now with a mortgage and the economy slow down, I’m considering selling my collection. Thank you for sharing, I knew I wasn’t alone!

I have many elder female friends, powerful business women who have done exactly that. They've sold up their luxury bags, shoes, furs, coats to lighten up their load and travel the world on 180 day world cruises and heading to antarctica etc. living the most adventurous lives! But all of them face the same issue, it'll be very hard to sell all your items all at once as many consignment places won't take a huge intake at once and they'll take years to sell if you don't want to be severely underpriced. So if you do mass sell, plan to sell at a steep discount and just get rid of it. Better yet, make friends with younger females who will buy in bulk what you have! Wishing you all the best Sophie!

It’s ok to sell your bags for travel. Travel may bring you great joy and when you are no longer able or wanting to travel, you may find something else that interests you or luxury may be appealing again:) It’s all about the journey!

I would post everything on one Chanel and see what sticks. You don't necessarily need focused UA-cam content, if you make the videos for a specific audience. I feel like people who are into luxury fashion content, are also into travel, business, and experiences. The car content might not get as many views here, but I enjoy the specific way you film cars. You really highlight the experience. It's like I'm shopping with you, and I think that's a strong point of your content.
I'm so excited for this new chapter. It's long overdue, no offense...but I absolutely love travel and cars as well and love when you incorporate these into your content. I'd watch wherever you decide to create it. Happy Sunday! 😊

Over the years I've bought many things inspired by those older vids-- Louboutin Anjalina and Paloma + wallet, Hangisi pumps, mini lady Dior, Sophia Webster heels, and Alexander McQueen scarf. In recent years I have not felt as connected or interested in the style-- which is fine, we all evolve! But I was interested to hear that you were also feeling disconnected from the content. I purchased my first home last year and have a new appreciation for my disposable income. I also moved from Los Angeles to a small town in the mountains where no one really has luxury purses, sunglasses, etc. and it really made me realize how living in Los Angeles my entire life had “influenced me” and placed a “luxury choke-hold” truly because most people have luxury items everywhere you go. It took me leaving that environment to realize that material things are simply not very important to me.
Now with a mortgage and the economy slow down, I’m considering selling my collection. Thank you for sharing, I knew I wasn’t alone!

Sophie, I think seperating channels would just add to your to do list. I believe most of your veiwers are watching because they feel some kind of a connection with you. Unfortunately luxury items continually goes up and becomes harder to purchase. I am also at same point that how many new luxury items I need to purchase. I have many elder female friends, powerful business women who have done exactly that. They've sold up their luxury bags, shoes, furs, coats to lighten up their load and travel the world on 180 day world cruises and heading to antarctica etc. living the most adventurous lives! But all of them face the same issue, it'll be very hard to sell all your items all at once as many consignment places won't take a huge intake at once and they'll take years to sell if you don't want to be severely underpriced. So if you do mass sell, plan to sell at a steep discount and just get rid of it. Better yet, make friends with younger females who will buy in bulk what you have! Wishing you all the best Sophie!

Maybe you can continue to critique trending bags of fashion without it but I definitely will be looking forward to fashion critiques. For example: I remember clicking on your video that had to do with critiquing the quality difference between the classic Chanel before and now. I really like videos examining quality vs price.

It’s ok to sell your bags for travel. Travel may bring you great joy and when you are no longer able or wanting to travel, you may find something else that interests you or luxury may be appealing again:) It’s all about the journey!
I watch your content because I enjoy it. Like the other comments said we don’t mind what content you post. Ofc I like the luxury content but whatever makes you happy and fulfils you. UA-cam is your escape and your hobby so you need to do what’s right for you.

I subscribed to you a while ago just because I was curious about luxury bags; I wasn't really planning to buy them, and right now those are far beyond my spending capacity. I just wanted to know more about that world, and I like looking at pretty things in general. But I ended up staying for all those other videos, and I really like the way you express yourself, It's really something that I aspire to be. We got obsessed with luxury due to lockdowns. Now we have better things to do lol. Going to paris in october and have no desire to set foot on ANY luxury boutiques. I am trying to sell a lot of my bags but its been difficult as nobody is buying or i get lowballed.
